We drove 5 1/2 hours to pick up a piece that we purchased on the marketplace and Sterling and everyone else here were absolutely fabulous! They have very cool items and their prices are fantastic, in addition to the fact that it’s all for a good cause. We will be back to purchase more items because our trailer was too full this time. Thank you so much for allowing us to come to your wonderful store!!!

Prices can be high for a thrift store, but when you shop you're supporting the Wood River Land Trust, so consider it a donation. They can have really unique items. [UPDATE!] The last few times I've been in BMTS the prices have been more reasonable and the staff has been amazingly helpful. Top notch people!
The Wood River Land Trust Building Material Thrift Store is a must stop for anyone looking for used but good condition building materials, furniture, lighting and lot's of other house/yard/building treasures. Definitely a must for someone furnishing or building on a budget - lot's of items at great prices. And proceeds support open space projects of the Wood River Land Trust. The inventory is always changing and the staff is great. A great way to recycle stuff and keep it out of our land fills.
Excellent customer service. Lots of items that you probably can't do without. Perfect place to donate all this large items and household parts that you've been holding onto for years. Jim is a very friendly and helpful guy.
If you are looking to update your home, this is the place to go. You can purchase gently used items such as cabinets, beds, furniture, toilets, sinks, kitchen appliances, etc here for a discounted price. Often 2nd homeowners who update their homes donate their items to this store. Thumbs up.
They have a constant flow of new and sometimes very interesting treasures. You can find everything for your building project, windows and doors, wood trim, carpet, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, plumbing and electrical and kitchen appliances. Outside they have a pretty good selection of beams and trusses. They also have furniture and household items, BBQ's, wood stoves, I even bought a composting toilet a couple of years back. The shop is very neat, clean and organized, the help is helpful and friendly and the prices are really good. Definitely worth the time to take a look.
