We do the “Steak N Soak” every year for a date night with friends. It’s always a good time and the staff at Downatta hot springs are great people. It always helps that the price is right… Food value for the money

We go at least once a year. Stay in the little cabins. Quiet location. Love soaking in the hot pool. Great place to relax and get away from the real world!

I only went to the hot springs, so I can't comment on rooms or the pool. We came with 3 adults and 6 kids. The kids were so excited to see that most of them could touch bottom. The older kids (6-11) had tons of fun moving around in the water, practicing their floating and so on. The preschoolers had fun on the long bench that runs along most of the spring, as well as going out deeper with the adults help. Everyone had a great time and the water was so warm and relaxing!

Great place to enjoy hot pools, food and hometown hospitality. One of my favorite stops.

We took the shuttle bus from Pocatello to Downata hot pools for diner and a soak. What an amazing time. Food was superb. The staff friendly and treated our party of 10 like royalty. I can not express enough how great of a time we had. Definitely a redo.

The Hadley House- it was dirty. They need to dust and do a deep clean. Shower curtain is absolutely disgusting. One shower for the entire house, the 2nd one is out of order. The 3 bedrooms upstairs are freezing. They need winterized, left ACs in the windows. Need to vacuum the couch beds it between stays and they are more like a cushion vs a bed. Need to spray for bugs. Lots of spiders and box elder bugs. Definitely needs cleaned better for the price.

The site is unregulated, without electricity and water, they disrespected us and as a result we asked for our payment back and looked for another place to stay. Since we couldn't find one in the evening, we stayed at a nearby gas station.

Definitely not what we thought. It was all by itself, which is what it is. The drink choices could of included Gatorade or Powerade to help with dehydration, instead of soda products. Since it is all by itself food choices were very limited. The pools we used were the hot pools they were a nice temperature, but had many leaves floating in them. The locker rooms had lockers you couldn't use or no one told us how to use them. It looked like a great RV Park but we didn't use that this trip. The showers in the locker room area were nice. We will try it again in the summer. The last time we were there was in the late 1980s or early 1990s.

We come 2 or 3 times a year. This trip wasn’t the best. Our site was between 2 loud groups drinking and smoking. The first night kids were screaming until midnight. I told the front desk in hopes they would patrol the second night. The second night was loud too. I don’t know why there are any rules when nothing is enforced. Drinking in the pool area. Quiet hour not enforced. The site next to us just decided to move and take 2 spots right by us. They put up a tent in the second spot. They had 1 tag for 3 vehicles. They booked a spot in the middle but couldn’t fit all their vehicles and tent so they came and crowded us out. There dog wasn’t leashed. Doesn’t matter if you say something either. Both nights I didn’t get to sleep until after midnight thanks to other loud people. The people behind us decided to start yelling at 2 am. Dogs barking, screaming vulgarity at each other. The hot pools had the most people I have seen. Every time I’ve been people are drinking in them even though it’s clearly posted nothing is said. I’ve seen a guy cannonball into them. Trust me most people come to relax and understand the rules are in place for a reason.

Been coming since I was a kid and was so disappointed to be treated so rudely when checking in and purchasing pool passes. We spent $500+ this weekend between camping and the pool but did not feel welcome. I understand this was a busy weekend and you are likely short staffed. One older lady with short hair and glasses almost made me turn around and leave. If you don’t want to be in this business and take our money please sell it to someone who does.

We found this campground by driving north on 15 and seeing a sign. They were very accommodating! Parking was easy. We got in too late to enjoy everything but it looks like a fun spot!

We stayed in the Hadley House--which has a lotvof room for big families. I especially loved the large common area with pull out coches andcplenty of space for games and other activities. There is only one main bathroom for everyone to use, but there is a second bathroom in the máster suite. We brought paper towels for the bathroom because 15+ people using the same tonel to dry hands is just gross. The floors are old, warped, and uneven in theckitchen, and there is only one standard sized fridge, so if you're bringing multiple families who have their own food, it can be challenging. Rugs may be a tripping hazard as they are also old and come up on the edges. The beds are not very comfortable (especially those in the pull-out couches, but it's great to have everyone under the same roof. The porch swing is nice, and there is space in the yard to play games or exercise. There are folder up tables and chair, which made it super nice for playing games with a large group. This year, the air conditioning worked much better than in the past. The caretaker, who gives you your keys and initial instructions, continúes to be curt and unfriendly, but after initial check-in, you don't really see her--Not really customer service oriented. There is not a binder/book with local information, instructions on how to work things, or phone numbers anywhere to be found, but we figured it out. The pool was fun, but the hot springs are an additional cost and not included in the main ticket price. The waterslides are fun. Despite any issues, we had a great time, and will likely go back.

This is such a fun country water park. It’s small and warm and the soaking pools feel amazing. The slides are so fun too. There aren’t many, but they are fast and fun to do over and over

Beautiful Campground and Proerty But Campgrounds are tight wih about 8ft beween rigs. There are a bunch of added fees to the campground. Also The pool admission is an extra $11 a day and they close the pools and Hot Springs on Sundays. The north Campground needs some repairs at sites. Other than that it wasnt bad.

Average RV park with a lot of services. Pros: * Parking was easy. * They have a large pool with a few slides, kids loved it. * They have cabins, RV sites, tent sites and more. * Volleyball, pickleball, swings, sand boxes are a plus. Some cons: * Restaurant was closed until December, which seemed odd since they didn't warn you until you were walking up. * It looked like no maintenance or improvements had been done anywhere in many years. * Grass was mostly dead in RV areas and group sites. * They allow too many vehicles, some blocking reserved sites. * Splash pad area was really bad.

We have camped here and made a swimming weekend ever since I was a kid. It is just as magical now as it was then :) the service is awesome and it is a fair business! It is a well run family friendly vacation!

Amazing!!! We LOVE this place. We’ve stayed in the RV spots and in the cabins. We LOVE the hot spring water in the pool, splash pad, water slides—everywhere. Love the Poolside Restaurant—the curly fries, the black hole sundae and the dole whip are our favorites. We come here at least once a year. Magical.

We love soaking here the changing rooms are heated and always clean. There is a little café upstairs that has the best cheeseburgers! The pizza is not to bad either. Have never camped here but the campground looks nice and clean and there is usually deer and turkeys wandering around

I have come here every winter for the last 7 years. Lodging and stay is great but don’t bring your kids unless you have the cash to burn. $600 for 3 nights is great but almost $200 just for the pool and hot pots is ridiculous for 2 days with 3 kids, especially when your paying for lodging! It’s gotten WAY over priced for the pools. More bang for your buck to drive to lava but will be a lot busier in the colder months. The staffing though is the best you could ask for. Friendly, attentive and always happy. Really depends what you’re looking for. Relaxing and quiet with less people, if that’s what your looking for this is a great place

It was our first time and it was pretty fun. $20 for both pools. The temps were good. Nice to chill. However, the reason for the 4 stars is being the big pool is filled with leaves and bugs, especially the little pool area off of the big one. Can tell it rarely gets cleaned.

It was a great stop on our journey north! We just stopped to enjoy the soaking pools at the hot springs. They also have a fun splash pool for kids and that was popular the night we were there.

What a hidden gem! The food is outstanding at the steak restaurant. The staff is nice and friendly. The cabin was great. The atmosphere is nice and quiet (in the Winter) The pools are comfortable temperatures and clean. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I just stayed for the "cabin fever getaway for two". It included a stay in the small cabin as well as dinner, access to the hot springs, breakfast, and an early bird soak. The price for this was unbeatable, and we had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and the cabin was cozy. The staff was helpful and kind. Definitely an excellent experience that I will be recommending to family and friends.

My family and I have been visiting Downata ever since I was a child and the experience just kept going down hill. We gave them the benefit of the doubt being an old facility but this last trip definitely will be the reason we DO NOT RETURN. We went October 25-27th staying at the Hadley house (disgusting) we showed up to the house to flies everywhere, the smell of dead mice/ alive one running around and dirt/dust everywhere one bathroom not working properly so you couldn’t shower (mind you we had 16 people staying with 1 shower, was NOT told/refunded any money) We just thought to make the best of it because we hardly get to do things all together as a family. The second day was where it really changed, we checked in (already prepaid tickets because of the Halloween event) the staff was unaware of what was happening and had to get the manager/owner which was very rude, and disrespectful towards my mother and sister which staff told my mom she didn’t have it on her computer. Ended up getting our wrist bands and going to go swim well what they didn’t tell us is that they had a customer with a WOUND/INFECTION bag in the WATER(have pictures to prove without seeing persons face) talk about filthy and a health hazard. The pools where another story (very unclean and patched everywhere with a dog toy covering their inlet/outlet for the water) We got out and went to go get ready for the activity and when we got there they were IMMEDIATELY counting our group as if we didn’t tell them the right number but we had babies that did the activity with their moms so we didn’t miss count anyone, then she tried starting without our whole group in there because her staff wasn’t prepared and was taking forever giving us a “name tag” that mind you we couldn’t go in the room WITHOUT. We get in there and played some bingo and only got 1$ off an item you purchased with them if you won, then went and played a game outside which the manager/owner was clearly mad that her OWN family didn’t win so she had an attitude after that. We got a few little cheap toys then we went and decorated pumpkins and a lot of them were rotten on the bottom (she didn’t have extras to give so we threw away a few) and gave us stickers to put a face on it that’s it. Then got the cook to judge and we got coupons for free kids swimming even tho kids are 3$ (wow what a steal?) then came to decorating the cookies which half the cookies where burnt or broke and only had enough for who bought a ticket (besides her family) at the end she gave a few more cheap toys which she had made a comment to her helper “don’t give them too much we need them for trick or treating too” I thought that was pretty shady having us buy the crap for trick or treating but that’s just me. We all went back to the Hadley house and waited for everyone to go to the “spaghetti” dinner, we got there and immediately got sat in there regular dining (when you pay for these events they have a special room all decorated we did NOT get put in) then when it became to being served it was like we were nothing but scums. The “sparkling drink” was just water, the spaghetti was swollen noodles with a can of chunked tomatoes with cheddar cheese on top (very unappetizing only a few were even touched) then came the garlic bread which was totally burnt and thrown on the table to the point I spoke up and said “we paid a lot of money to get burnt toast and water, we need new bread” then came out the manager/owner and my mother tried talking to her about all of our concerns and she kept smiling and shaking her head in agreement and then proceeded to state “I pay a lot of money to put these events on so maybe I shouldn’t anymore” I spoke up and said “you shouldn’t” she walked off and then came the other server and she tried to give us the rest of our spaghetti and we didn’t want it and she said “it’s paid for” and we said okay give it to the other party that was there and she proceeded to say “we can’t do that they didn’t pay for it you did we will just take it back and RESELL it” so my brother spoke up and said “no you will not the other party can have it” then we all got up and started leaving (my mom went first, left after saying you are not trying to even understand the problem you have here) as we were almost out the door the manager/owner came running out of the kitchen to try to talk to my mom but got my brother and sister and she tried telling us she will compensate us 12$ a person to go back into the hot pools after the dinner then proceeds to say out the door as we are leaving “find another place next time tho” I said “we will”||PSA BE VERY VERY CAUTIOUS ABOUT THIS BUSINESS

We had a great time on our family stay. We all enjoyed the pools, slides and hot pools. They deliver the wood to your camp spot which was really great! The camp spots are close to your neighbors but that's how it is at most RV parks that have been around for this long. The customer service was great. Its nice to be able to come and go as you want. Package Deals if you're staying would be a nice feature. We do plan on returning for sure!

I stayed in one of the trailer spots, which we love to do often. My parents came for the first time and stayed in Yurt #3. It's was a fun experience for our family. We had lots of fun enjoying the pools and playing volleyball. The Yurt was clean and cozy. If you're wanting a 5-star hotel experience, go to the GRAND America in SLC. If campground standards aren't good enough for you, go somewhere else. For those of us that do enjoy a smaller, quaint experience it's perfect.

Not impressed. We had really high hopes for our girls camping trip but were really disappointed. We assumed the campgrounds had full hookups, but no, no sewer. Sooo, we assumed there would be showers, no. There was only ONE, shower for a FULL campground. And on top of everything, the bathrooms were horrible. Nobody even bothered to clean the 3 whole days we were there. In addition we booked months in advance and said we needed a little extra room for out friend's trucks, we were assured that was no problem. When our friends showed up they had to book an additional sight last minute because "the computer wasn't cooperating." ? I keep seeing the owner's apology about it being a 100 year old Ranch. However, their prices do not reflect that...... We will not be returning.
