First time at this location, and was impressed. Yard is well organized, Danny at the counter is an awesome guy, helpful, friendly, and all the wheelbarrows are in good shape, lol. Will be coming here from now on. (The Caldwell/Nampa locations suck)
Only thing I didn't like is all the vehicles are on stands with all wheels touching the ground, making removal more difficult. They do have a wheeled gantry crane that's free to use, but still a pain.
At pick a part wrecking yard you pay $1.00 to enter the part's yard. They give you a list of the rows where the make an model of car your looking parts for being your own tools.
Well we all like saving money, always nice to have a back up when you don't have the cash. Wear mud boots during winter season or waders:) bring water in the summers.
The Manager Gerry(Gerald) Went above and beyond for me today! I was getting a window button replacement because the rain shorted mine out while I was replacing and rolling up my window I didn't realize I didn't unlock the doors and locked my keys, purse and phone in a running truck. I've had the worst luck lately and the manager didn't even hesitate to jump into action and help me along with two other guys also my doors where taken apart trying to get them fixed so made it more of a difficult trying to get open I'm very happy to keep returning because of managers like this. I appreciate this more than you guys know! Great customer oriented service and for that I will keep on sharing my experiences at this location. Great job! The picture below was the condition of the door so I'm so happy he was able to help me.
Jalopy Jungle is the kind of place where car dreams go to come true without breaking the bank. Called up about the pricing on a part, they tell me one thing that makes it a deal. Go in and waste myself an hour plus pulling said part off and they give me a price that’s $15 more than a BRAND NEW PART. Scalpers at this place and the Caldwell yard DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

Been to various locations in the treasure valley 20-30 times... Last time I went there after double checking online inventory, and they had just moved the row I needed to get crushed. May be worth calling before but normally online inventory is spot on. Thanks for being here and offering what you do!

That exactly what happened for my husband in there، After many years of dealing with this place, they have become very bad and unprofessional. He has not been going there for over a year but still deals with the State Street branch and other places. Poor management.
They tricked my father - 70-year-old several times, telling him CV axle s and batteries were non-returnabl, usually paying engines and transmissions from there_
They treated him harshly simply because he told them have friend that bought the same part from the Cleveland Blvd branch a few days ago and they told him it was returnable if it not useful, and a day after buying it, they forced him to return it to the last car in the yard , followed by a person claiming to be in charge of the branch. I usually help him, but he insisted on returning this part, which turned out that part, considering it an easy task for him. Note that this is the first time we have returned something in the last 3 years at least. Many mechanics I know complain about the management of this branch and recommend going to the State Street branch or Garrity Blvd , Nampa. Our shop will rely on other places to buy parts starting from now
Always have a good time at tilapish jungle and Randall helps me out every time I'm here in Garden City. And the other customer service is great, all around the valley
Of all the could do not be jungles in the areas and location is my favorite good customer service I mean you can't beat it when it comes to some of the prices they give you
The staff at this location are great and helpful. Always can find what I need and they have fair prices. Slowly upgrading my project car thanks to them!!
The employees are always kind, and the prices are great! Pay a dollar for entry and if somebody beat you to the part, you can head to another location and they won’t charge twice as long as you have the stamp!
Sold me jumper cables. I asked if they were guaranteed, cashier said they were. They didn’t work. Tried to return - same day, with receipt - and was told they wouldn’t take them back because they were sold “as is.” Lost my patronage over $6.00, would not recommend
The guy in the front counter here is way nicer than most. Still fair and does his job as he should. Helpful and outgoing. This yard seems to always be up to date with their inventory.
Can say enough about Jalopy! Their staff knows so much and is so helpful figuring out what we could need and where it is at. They helped me find replacement parts for a fraction of a cost that dealers and repair shops were quoting me. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!
Long story short. They made some mistakes in a sales quote and it was a bit of a hassle.
In the end though they are making it right. The Manager Gerald (spelling may be off) is taking care of things and felt sincere in his apology.
I have spent so much money, Time, sweat in this place I even sold them a whole SUV. The one time. The ONE time I asked for a little bit of customer service. I get lied to and I got terrible service. Quality used parts This location Terrible service. I never met such rude people at a pick-a-part.
The ones in garden city are not as friendly, and if you just need that tool you happen to forget don't ask they don't have it in garden city. But overall great love seeing there look when I'm there to pull a radiator. LoL...
I was contacted by the Gentlemen who work here. They were interested in purchasing 3 of my vehicles. They gave me a price, a time when the tow truck would arrive, and told me how to go about receiving payment. The tow truck showed up on time, they paid me exactly what they told me they would, and they made the process super easy. Will do business with them again!
Jalopy Jungle is an excellent and we'll organized junk yard of cars. I'm am no car guru and have only ever done minor repairs to my car. When I got there, I told them the cars that I needed to see. They printed their location out and directed me to a map. I was able to locate the car, get the parts I needed and it only cost me $7. I saved over $100 by getting a few simple parts. Will definitely go back if I need to.
I showed up just barely at the 30 minutes before closing time and initially was told to come back tomorrow. However Troy, being the stand up gentleman and scholar he is, allowed me back to quickly grab one part I needed. It's not a typical scenario especially being Saturday evening but Troy truly went above and beyond my expectations and provided genuine customer service. Rare to find these days let alone at a salvage yard. Thank you Jalopy you guys rock!
A lot of times they have the parts but man they are total jerks here. If you are woman expect for them to treat you like you know nothing. I have had to have my husband call to get them to help me with what I needed. They claim to give you up to $500 for your car but once you get there it is a completely different story. Forget about being able to call and ask if they might have the car you are looking for (the twin falls one will). Main problem here is just that they treat their customers like dirt.
Great place to get misc car parts to keep your ride in good shape. Clips, bolts, lights, etc are covered in the $1 admission fee. Other parts are reasonable prices.
Love this place, has a pretty good selection of Jeep Grand Cherrokees (around the model year 2000) and they have had all the parts I have needed for pretty cheap. Also, they have a pretty good return policy, you can take any part back within 60 days (with a recipt) for an exchange or store credit.
