AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - I was stranded for 5 hours today.
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had when I needed a tow. Continually told they were “almost there” for literal hours, until they started completely ignoring my calls, while I was stuck without a car.
They shouldn’t be in business with how they treat customers.
Spend the extra money on a company that will actually tow your car in under 24 hours.
We got stuck, and called for help getting our car unstuck on May 2nd at around 2:50pm. The tow was confirmed, and they called us to confirm our location. They gave us a time estimate. When they missed their estimate, we called back to check in, and they screened our call. Found out 2 hours later that they cancelled our order, and didn’t tell us. Set us back a ton of time, and they didn’t even have the integrity to tell us that they cancelled on us.
On Nov 4,2024 at around 1030pm my car got towed by a guy named Zoose so that's what he said his name was from Discount Auto Towing from wailuku to kahului where he drop it off at my husband and my sister was there waiting for me as I had ride with driver there when he pick me up he took pictures of my jeep and told me what was wrong with it lower balls joints knowing that he knew u can't reverse drag a car without proper tools
So he was in process of lower my jeep off flat bed due to balls joints issues car wasn't moving backwards instead it stayed there all the while is still reversing it down hearing my car make a crackling sound we told him to stop his pulling out my fender and busted my blinker lights and he stop put on some wedge think that made my car slide down backwards with no problem so when it was down I ask him hey do we make a report up u damage my jeep he replied no need just call your insurance company in the morning I said u sure he said yeah I said I'm gona contact your company as well he said call um 1st experience so I did what he said to and I called both insurance and his company they never know anything about what happened being that said had investigation but because it was dark pictures wasn't visible and my witness couldn't get involved because they were family how dumb is that who was I supposed to call to pick me a stranger well with that said that driver lied and said that the damage was already there even though 3 people saw him do it but in the end we both had same insurance company so yeah they won you know we struggle but to get ripped off from a company who should be helping us is jus plan wrong I wanted to get that off my chest even though the cost of repairs was around 800$ still that's alot of money for me to pay for someone else mistakes they are below the star rating Discount my A**. Poor service and mind you i was patient called them at 6pm they arrive @ 1030 pm on top of that they damage my car and got away with it.
Steer very clear of this shady and crooked company in cahoots with their local rental companies. They gave us a time to arrive through Avis. That was 3 hours away. The restaurant owner we were at came out and gave us a jump and 5 minutes later I called their number and canceled and they said fine We will turn it around and less than 2 minutes later I get a text saying they had arrived and performed the service which they had not. I will be contacting the better business bureau and your state's Attorney general. This is criminal activity in my opinion.

Can’t say enough about this place! The customer service is beyond my expectations. My car needed to be towed, because someone stole my back wheel off my car. Not only did they show up super fast to tow my car, but they also helped me find a replacement! They were more than helpful, courteous, and gave me the best customer service possible. I will definitely call again if I ever need a tow or tire.
Responded to my distress for a dead battery in the airport parking lot. Arrived quickly and got it started right away!! Very professional and with Aloha!
Beware of Discount Towing! They are crooks, and will come up with hidden costs for your car. I had my car towed by them to my dealership on a Sunday night at 5:30. They were closed on Monday because of Christmas, but I was told they would be open on Tuesday and to call at 11. I drove there Tuesday morning and spoke to someone who said they would be open at 11 and to call then. I called all day Tuesday and no one answered. So today Wednesday after many calls, I get told I’m being charged $75 storage fee, which I reluctantly agreed to pay just so I could get my car back. Then they added an additional $80 for “enroute mileage” for the 2miles it took the driver to go from the dealership to their base yard. This was already paid for with my roadside assistance- so they are double dipping and are screwing people. I will NEVER deal with these idiots again.
Bobby sure saved us! He towed our rental van to the airport and give us a ride also. We were lucky enough to go on a call with him. Very entertaining, a man with short man syndrome started giving us a hard time about where tow truck was parked. He threaten to move the truck. I told him go ahead he back down right away. The traffic jam, resolved once people figured out how to give the right away to others! Through all the madness, Ohana shine through! Thanks, Bobby!
Honestly Ed saved me and was extremely helpful. This company cares and wanted to get me home safe. He even offered to help fix my jeep when he dropped me off. NO ONE else on island would come help me and Discount Towing came through and saved me. Thank you Ed and your Company. Extremely fair priced, cared about my jeep and not messing it up while loading and off loading it on the bed, super quick to get to me and was so willing to help. Hands down huge life saver and great towing company!!! If I could give a 10 star review I would. Thanks for the help bro.
Service was good, honesty was not.
We were told the tow would be $450. Ended up being almost a hundred more. His explanation was that we were not where we said we were, even though my directions were very clear.
I was stranded car wouldn’t start my insurance company sent in a request and they were at car in 15 minutes!! Thank you so much Joe! And the dispatch woman(sorry I forgot your name) you all are awesome!

Waited for my friend to pick up her car here. The mechanic started yelling at her saying “you ain’t from here” because she told him that he never gave her a quote and just fixed her car without permission. She asked to see if it is running before she paid for it and he yelled at us, threw up his hands and said, “I never had anyone make me do this, you causing problems”.
This place is super sheisty.
Easy and reliable, they made sure I was okay before anything else, they talked to me about what to do, and what they’ll do with my insurance. Would definitely call them again if I need help with towing or anything. 5 stars!
Everyone was super super friendly including the two owners! I've been a lot of places where two bosses in the same room seem to cause an awful lot of tension, and some of those bosses are husband and wives. But these two guys and their staff seem to get along super well, and even when talking story with a customer they're still monitoring the staff - as one of the bosses question one of his subordinates about something he was working on to make sure that something was done before something else got done, and I just thought that was super cool that they're really looking out for the customer. ( and yeah that something was done, but it never hurts to double-check)
I know how hard is life here in Hawaii, but please don’t take advantage on anyone or any person. Just wanna share something about the towing service. My vehicle got towed because I forget to put my registration sticker in the license plate but my vehicle registration is up to date. We talk to one of the employee in there and show the proper paperworks he decided if we can just pay half price of the penalty, but we refuse to pay. And then he said he gonna contact the boss and if we can wait an hour, we agree. We waited more than one and a half hour till he comes and said we need to pay for it or comeback tomorrow. I ended up paying cause I dont have any choice and badly needed my car for my work.

They didn't answer when I first called but they called me back 5 minutes later. Travis was very friendly and professional. He arrived earlier than what he told me his ETA would be. He works fast and is safety minded. The reason why I called Discount Auto Repair and Towing is because of an exceptional past experience I had with a friend whose truck got stuck in Kahakuloa and called this company for a tow. These gentlemen know what they are doing and I highly recommend using their services if you're ever in a bind. They are available 24hrs and accept major CC's.
We live far out on the Hana highway, and this was the only tow company that didn't cancel on us/never showed up after hearing where we live! Our driver even arrived before his original ETA. He was friendly, made us laugh and even recommended a good place to repair our van. I would call here before anywhere else
