A-1 towing and recovery offered excellent service at an affordable price. I had some car troubles and needed to have it towed from Dalton to Woodstock, Ga. Big shoutout to Mario. Very friendly and easy to work with.
Very professional and casual over the phone. Took but a few mins to schedule what I needed, price wad fair considering how far my car was. Gave me a time and was on time to deliver. Great place.
This company charged a broke university student $200 for one day they had an old vehicle. The student left it in a bank parking lot and staff stated they did not call the towing company. This buss is such a money hunger and are senseless. Do not deserve your business.
I am from Mobile,AL and was involved in an accident that required towing. I was told to expect a minimum of $100.00 fee. However I was only charged $50.00. I shared what I was expecting my charge to be and was told “That wouldn’t be right.” I thanked him profusely! Honesty is something hard to come by…but not with this company! dk

Like many of the Towing businesses in Dalton, they weren’t doing tows on a Sunday unless it was for Law enforcement. Despite google even saying they are a 24hr tow service.
We broke down on a Sunday, you know cause you can control when a breakdown happens, on a busy road on the heat of the day with my family.
They could care less. They should take down the 24 hour service because it’s false.
If you need a Tow call S&M towing, they got right out to us, fast.
They were super friendly and timely on arriving to help tow my girlfriend's car to a mechanic am hour away. They were by far the most affordable company to tow it, and were the most friendly when talking on the phone, I definitely recommend if you ever need a tow for anything.
Did a Google search for towing services near me and gave A-1 a call. Maybe 10 minutes later the truck arrived and assisted with getting my truck started (had a dead battery). Would use again if I'm back in the Dalton area and required service. Driver also mentioned Cherokee Brewing and Pizza as a nice spot to eat.
Helped me out in a time of need while another tow service was trying to take advantage of my situation. They were there so quickly and I could not have asked for a better or smoother experience.
I have used this company once before to tow my car- and they were able to arrive at my location very quickly. I recently locked myself out of my car and decided to call them again for some help. They did not disappoint! The guy that came out was extremely helpful and very professional. To top if off, I didn't have to pay a thing- they filed everything through my insurance. I would recommend A-1 Towing to anyone in need, and I will most definitely be using them again- when need be :)

These scammers sold me a lemon car 3 years back. An 06 jetta with a blown headgasket and a failed transmission. They then charged me 800 to replace the transmission. Don't use them.
Mario picked up my vehicle within 20 minutes of my call for help. He was very polite and gave me a ride to the repair shop. Once we arrived, he crawled under the car to see if he could figure out why it was freezing up and he kept working with it until we were able to drive the car forward to park it. This was definitely an extra-mile service experience.
Called on a Sunday afternoon to recover a broken down car. Was told there was noone in my area to assist. Evidently they just didnt want my business. Save yourself some time and just call carpenters towing. They are glad to assist you.

This is the worst towing service in Dalton! They have the rudest staff, who will try and argue with you on the phone like some child before even picking up a car you need towed. The owner/manager needs to check his stafg and habe a meeting on good customer service!
Don't ever go to a1 towing to get a part for your car they are not honest and they don't help you at all the charge brand new prices for used and broken stuff I went to go get a clutch fan for my ranger and they wanted 65 dollars for that part used but you can get a new one for 59 dollars at orilleys that is bull crab I can get one at floods for 20 used that is with them pulling it of don't go to a1 they will rip you off big time
Super helpful with referring to another company when they weren't able to help. We really appreciated their help when our CDL Truck driver was stranded on the side of I-75 and needed a tire repaired.
I had a wreck yesterday in Tibbs road. My bumper had popped off. I asked the driver to please get it, as it could be re-attached. The drive to my house was about a 3 mile trip. When we got here, he dropped the car down. I then started looking around for my bumper. It wasn't on the roll back. I asked where it was. His reply was, it wasn't any good was it. I said yes it wasn't damaged and I needed it. He wanted me to pay him even though I asked him to PLEASE go back and find my bumper. Something in my gut told me not to pay him until he found and returned it. But he insisted saying he was going to go get it.
After a few minutes went by, with no word from him, a friend came by in his pick up truck, and we went to find my bumper. It was on the side of the road, on Martin Luther King, next to the high school. You couldn't miss it!
Later in the day I called O.D. to find out where my bumper was. He knew my number, so when he answered the phone he just said hello. He told me he had looked for it and couldn't find it. I then told him I had recovered the bumper myself a couple hours after he never showed up with it. I let him know I didn't appreciate being taken advantage of and he wasn't being very professional or trustworthy. That is no way to run his business. He took my money and was done with me.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. I will be filling a complaint with the BBB on Monday morning.

The car broke down and my son called A1, I was affraid because the turn from our wooded cravel road into our drive way is extremely narrow, was sure he wouldn't be able to make the turn but to our amazement he did it with ease. The driver was very professional and well trained. THANK YOU A1, will happily recommend you all to anyone.
Husbands bucket truck broke down south of Atlanta GA.....these guys came from Dalton Ga to bring the truck back to Dalton to the transmission shop that didn't do such a good but these guys rock....had the truck picked up and delivered in no time....thanks so much. ..great job
Worst towing company in history. Called them at 6:30pm. They didn't show up till 10:30 van didn't get dropped off till 11:30 pm. I was told the bill was 160.00 I requested to be informed when the van was picked up. They called when they dropped it off not at pick up however I had to go meet the driver at midnight to pay him. When I got there not only did they add 20.00 to my bill for " wasting the drivers time". But the driver was a complete ass and bowed up to me from the moment I saw him, he tried to show off his knife to intimidate me, didn't work. I am a professional mechanic with my own company, And they have lost all of my business as well as my customers.
My family was stranded on I-75, 1.9 mi from the next exit. AAA could not accommodate us for up to 3 hrs. and wanted us to pay an additional $65 to tie the trailer and $20 for a cab for our passengers. We called A-1, they arrived within 15 min. And were able to take all four of us, our truck and trailer to the repair shop of our choice for what AAA wanted us to pay extra. In our opinion, A-1 gets an A+!! Thanks again!!
