Timely, excellent service, and reasonable pricing. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

This place is so dishonest I got charged triple my estimate with no phone call to let me know it would cost more!! There’s no one in front to answer calls ; they probably walked out! I am highly disappointed and would like to warn everyone not to go here.

We brought our truck on for a tune-up. They called to communicate what was needed and had the truck done the same day. It runs like a dream for a ol 99'

Wes has gone above and beyond with helping me with my recent car problem. We have always had excellent service. He is a true "honest mechanic." I highly recommend Ewing Automotive.

I have been meaning to leave this review for a while now. I had an 2005 Dodge Ram that I inherited. It sat for over five years because of a blown engine. My son looked up Jasper Engines and found out that Ewing was a certified installer. I called and was given a quote with a warning that it might go a little higher due to the fuel sitting for so long. Well, the truck needed the extra parts, but I was told in advance so I knew what I was getting my self into. We went a little over budget because of the extra parts, but again, I was given advance notice. Two weeks later I received the truck and couldn’t be happier. It was nice to see the old truck back on the road and it runs like new again. I am completely satisfied with the great customer service and the excellent work. A big thank you for a job well done on a vehicle that has so much sentimental value to it.

Very professional and incompetent. I put my wife’s BMW here with AC problem only to get charged $150 for Freon. They gave me her car back recommend to take it to the dealership because they were not able to fix the problem. The car was taken to another local shop down the street repaired and back on the road for not much more than $150 I was out

Came in to ask about brakes and some odds and ends on my truck. Nick helped with recommendations on some different rotor and pad combinations to meet braking concerns I have with towing along with being very upfront with pricing. Will be back soon for a variety of needs in addition to brakes. Nick is the kind of person you should have as the first interaction for a shop.

Was told by another shop that I needed a NEW engine... Ewing did the engine diagnostic work and found it was a timing chain issue!! After replacing the timing chain, replacing the leaking water pump and handling a couple of routine maintenance items we picked my Ellie up this morning and couldn't be happier!!! Ewing is Honest and Affordable! I just can't say thank you enough for getting us back on the road! Amazing customer service, spoke in layman's terms that were easy to understand, didn't "find" other "problems," affordable work done in a timely manner! Have found our mechanic for life! Thanks to Nick, Wes and the rest of the staff for making this experience a very pleasant one!! You guys rock!!

I am SO glad that a good friend recommended Ewing. From the first conversation with Nick to the pickup of my wife's vehicle I could tell I was dealing with a real pro. The work was done in a timely manner and at a price I was tickled to pay (along with a tip). It is very difficult to find technicians nowadays who are more than just part-swappers. These folks will stay on my speed-dial!!!!!!!

I've been going to Ewing Automotive on and off since before 2009 - both locations. Recently, my transmission leaked all over the road and I had my truck towed to Ewing - I wanted a company I could trust. Well, trust is in the eyes of the beholder as Ewing truly let me down in regards to providing the type of quality service I have come to rely on. After a couple of days, Ewing informed me that I needed a new transmission at a cost of $4,300 plus tax. Based on a six percent tax rate, the overall cost of replacing my transmission would have been $4,558. Disappointed in the news, I towed my truck back home and started to clean it out to sell. I had recently installed a new front-end suspension system along with four new tires. Most heartbreaking part, I have over 350K loving miles on my truck as I purchased it with 4K mile back in 2002. It is a 2002 Dodge Durango SLT Plus. The internet is a marvelous tool as it allowed me to research causes of a transmission going bad. The truck would start (after I charged it due to it being run down) and the gears would move but not engage. I tapped the transmission tray and it had a hollow sound meaning it was empty. After removing the pan, I noticed there was no supporting gasket to keep the fluid from leaking out. I purchased a transmission gasket and filter kit from Advanced Auto (using 25% coupon) as well as a small tube of permanex. I cleaned the tray, replaced both gaskets and reinstalled the pan which did not have any metal other the miniscule particles on the magnet. Bottom-line: I spent less than $125.00 on all the parts I needed including the ATF-4 transmission fluid, and blue devil transmission sealer. I have been driving my vehicle ever since I trusted my "gut" and I researched and repaired it. I SAVED OVER $4,400. My error, I forgot to include the $129.00 I paid Ewing to diagnose I needed a new transmission. THE FOLLOWING IS A RESPONSE TO EWING’S AUTOMOTIVE COMMENTS ABOUT MY PROBLEM: Seriously, Ewing Automotive is actually disparaging my review (and me) by stating, “If you want shade tree work and band aid patches, maybe Mr. Dyson can give you some good tips on barely getting by and even help tow you with an old chain when you break down as he is a nice guy. We do not recommend buying a used car from him”. I was simply offering my situation based on the circumstances without elaboration or exaggeration. Bottom line – I was not happy with their solution to my problem. I am not in the car selling business. I am an educator who enjoys teaching 6th grade Math for over 10 years. When I had my vehicle towed to Ewing, by AAA, I explained to the owner that I was only using them because I had trust in their work. Trust is easily destroyed when you realize your vehicle was not properly evaluated. There was no communication other than “you need a new transmission”. Are we dealing with a "replace" instead of a "repair" society and mentality? Think and ALWAYS trust yourself.

Asked if they could repair a waterpump on my Lincoln and they said yes and gave me an estimate. Brought my car to them and they informed me they wanted to check it out and see what was wrong, no problem. 3 days go by and I had to physically go up there to see what the issue was, and of course it was the waterpump, go figure. Said they couldn't fix it and charged me $129 diagnostic fee. When it was time to leave my car wouldn't even start! They acted like they had no idea what was wrong and said my battery must be bad.... it wasn't my battery it was the mechanics that were bad. Shady people and shady business owners

I brought my car here after it began making a loud knocking noise. They charged me $130 for a diagnostic. A day later they called to inform me that I needed to replace the engine. They quoted the repair at $3800 for a used engine. Being a Vtec with under 150k miles I decided to get a second opinion. Turns out, it was only a tension belt, NOT the engine. Total cost $400. BEWARE of this repair shop. Avoid this business. Shady work going on. If I could, i'd give it 0 stars. UPDATE: The owner apologized and refunded the the diagnostic fee. UPDATE: I am not a third party. I am the wife of Mr. Gresham and the sole owner of the Acura you failed to repair. The lack of an apology in your response speaks volumes about your business. Have a great day.

I hate that it's taken me so long to leave this review because it certainly needs to be shared. A couple months ago I had to have my Cadillac towed in because my right rear caliper fell off and locked the wheel up. Being a Cadillac, I automatically assumed I was going to have at least a $1,000 charge (it's a Caddy... nothings cheap on it so of course I think the worst) to replace the pad, rotor and caliper. Fortunately I stopped the car and called the tow before any major damage was done and the car was fixed next day. I leave this post because I'm sure we've all had bad experiences with auto shops trying to milk us for everything we're worth. Wes and Ewing Auto had every opportunity to take me to the cleaners because I honestly wouldn't have known any better. Fortunately Wes saw that a bolt had backed out which caused to caliper to fall off and instead of charging me to replace all the brake components (which many shops in my past would most certainly have done), he just put a new bolt in there, checked the other caliper to be safe and charged me accordingly. I've had no issues with the rear brakes at all and because of that they just got a household of customers for the future. Seriously thank you Wes for doing me right! -KSW

I came to this shop based on the reviews that I see on "Google". Please do not make my MISTAKE. I brought an 86 Ford Mustang GT in for a LMR electric fan conversion that cost me $620.53 to complete, I have all receipts for proof. Anyway, before any work was performed, it was stated that if a part was defective it would not have a warranty. This is certainly not the case. I was driving the car and noticed the temperature rising so I pulled off and opened the hood. I pressed in on the relay, and the fans came back on. I called LMR and they said, that its a connection issue. I called the shop and spoke to the original person, "WES" and he stated oh yeah they'll be a charge. So, needless to say poor quality work on Ewing's shop has caused a poor a connection, that Wes feels I need to be charged for. Remember, it's not a faulty part. It's a defective technician. I hope this saves someone they headache I have had.

Jasper engines and transmissions are warranted for 3 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Ewing Automotive installed a Jasper Engine in my truck 11-3-2016. After driving approximately 6,018 miles (Jan. 2018) the engine had to be replaced. After driving the second replacement engine approximately 4,992 miles (10-7-2019) the second engine had to be replaced. Both engines had an internal knock. I was told 10-10-19 that Jasper would ship the third replacement engine out on 10-23-19. I picked up my truck on 10-30-19, my hood was not adjusted and my paint on the rear of the hood was chipped. My warranty ends on 11-3-2020. The 3 years was basically gone when I got the truck back at the end of Oct. In 3 years, I got approximately 11,010 miles before the warranty ran out. I also purchased a 700R4 transmission 1-25-17, it had to be replaced 8-30-17. I have problems with it now, and I will not get another one (it is still under warranty). Some of the problems I had with the engines were oil pan replacement, oil pan leaks, front seal leaks, rear seal leaks, valve covers leaks and intake oil leaks. I bought a new carburetor, exchanged it for another new one, the adjustments were never smooth. I replaced every part that was needed. I spent over $9,500 in parts and labor for what??

Took my car to these guys and asked them to help me by fixing a stalling problem. They said they couldn't replicate the issue even though it was happening every time I drove the car. It was obvious! I thought it was pretty strange that they held the car for over a day just to tell me "oh, we can't figure it out!" They didn't even try to sell me on other stuff I wanted done to the car. A very unique experience! I told them I'd pick up my car and take it to someone else who will fix it. The woman at the front desk said something about bringing it back of other repairs, which I obviously will not. I took it to another mechanic the same day I picked it up and they figured it out within 2 hours and I had my car back the next day and it's running GREAT! I don't know if the mechanics at Ewing are stupid or just lazy but they clearly just didn't want to fix it. And then they charged me for the total engine diagnostics! I should have put my foot down and refused but I figured with mechanics so poor they probably really needed the money hah! Why pay for something if you're refusing to work on my car?? AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN AND TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO A REPUTABLE AUTO SHOP!

Very satisfied with Ewing Automotive Service. Cars today are very advanced with technology changing consistently and mechanics have to continue education pertaining to the technology. What i do know is they stand by there work. They got my daughters car back to peak performance and i am grateful too them. Went above and beyond putting time in on this. With technology it takes time to for a mechanic to diagnose a car. Respectfully, The Riordans

We have taken several of our vehicles here and have always received quality service. We had two wheel bearings replaced and the customer service and quality of work was top-notch. Our car was ready within time stated. Thank you for such great service, care and pricing.

I pumped bad gas in my car earlier this year. Wes was very up front about the possible damage and explained the process of things, and even helped give me advice on what to do to get the responsible party to pay for the repairs. Tamyra was a jewel, too! She always kept me updated on parts we were waiting for because she knew I was in panic mode about not knowing when I would get my car back after waiting on insurance. They got the repairs done quickly and my car runs as good as new now. Thank you both! Awesome, friendly service!

Watch OUT took a honda here to get it running better , dropped off the car at 1 and they said they would be able to probably fix it ,or tell me what was wrong that day . They ended up closeing without calling me locked my car up in the shop ,and never tried to tell me they needed to keep the car. The next day he got around to looking at the car and put a sensor on ,it did nothing. He charged 460 dollers and said he worked on it for 3 hours . I picked my car up 460 in the hole and car in the same shape no idea what was wrong with it . Took it to another shop and they found the problem in an hour and only charged me to replace the part.

These guys are crazy expensive!!! They charged me $100.00 labor to remove and replace 2 batteries in my truck. Then when my starter went out they wanted to charge me $263.00 to put in a new one. In both cases I supplied the parts (starter was under warranty from AutoZone and they did not carry the type of battery I wanted) . Their published labor rate is $100.00 per hour but in the case of the Starter they were charging by the rate book. So I had the vehicle towed to my house. In the driveway with only hand tools it took me exactly 32 minutes to change the starter, wire and crank the truck. That makes their Effective rate over $500.00 per hour!!! They seem like nice people but hold on to your wallet. I would suggest shopping a bit unless your like being overcharged. This is my opinion and I will never darken their doors again.

Great place to get your car worked on. Knolegable mechanics who are dedicated to providing good service at a fair price. I have had all my vehicles there and have never been disappointed. Oil changes to brakes and even had some suspension and steering work done. They stand behind their work and have always provided me with great service.

i took my 1989 Dodge D150 in for some work on the rear end and valve cover gasket. i was given a estimate of the work and a time line when I dropped off the truck. Both were spot on. Mr Ewing told me there was still a noise from the rear end at 45mph . it was caused by some wear on the gears but was not something that was going to be a problem as far as reliability is concerned. to get rid of this noise it would cost an additional 450.00 for the part but he would install it for free if I decided ro go that way, I asked him if I could use it for a week to see if that was going to be a problem for me. he said fair enough. I found Mr Ewing to be very honest and a straight shooter. His work was perfect and I enjoyed the fact he made time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. I will bring all my automotive needs to his shop. Good Guy.

I decided to try them out because they were close by. Well, that turned out to be the only thing that they had going for them. Left my vehicle over night to be diagnosed. They quoted $1000 and some change for a tcm and labor. I told them not to do the repairs. When I picked it up they hit me with a $100 bill. When I asked what for he said that if I had gotten the repairs done there then he wouldn't charge me but since I'm not, well then it's $100. He said they had an hour and a half in it to run the diagnostic. Blatant gouging if I've ever seen it. After talking with some friends that have lived in the area most of their lives, come to find out that they weren't surprised at all. Just seems to be Ewings business model. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else.

Very appreciative of the top-notch treatment of my soon-to-be 87-year-old father who had an urgent need for a diagnostic and repair of his vehicle early on a Monday morning so that he could get to the hospital to take my mother home. They were as nice as they could possibly be in agreeing to handle his repair even though he was a first-time customer, and moreover they were fair and honest in their work and recommendations for handling future repairs that will be needed. This is a garage that you want to take your business to.

Our car wouldn't start while on vacation visiting family. This shop was recommended to us as it is nearby. We went there, noted the problem, and Hoyt (on his first day there, nonetheless) arranged a tow truck to get the car, ordered the part, and set us up to get fixed. All in all, they fixed the car in just over two hours, at the price that was estimated up front, and in time for us to continue our vacation. Great job all around, and have no doubt that I would use them again in the future.

Billy has been our trusted mechanic for over 25 years. Foreign or domestic makes, we have taken our Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, and GM models to him, and we have always driven away with total confidence the work was accomplished with the highest quality standards with the most reliable parts. He treats us with respect and as valued customers. Most recently, we had a 1978 Ford F-100 that we were restoring made road worthy again. As usual, Billy's returned a reliable, smooth running vehicle with the right repairs, parts, and right price. We have always avoided the chain repair and dealer repair shops because we know the Billy's work is far superior. We highly recommend Ewing Automotive to our friends and others on a regular basis.

STAY AWAY! Charged me hundreds just to confirm the issue I pointed out when I came in. Their price board said $89.95 diagnostic, but they charged $95 per hour for 4 hours. The charge would not be applied toward repair. VERY RUDE treatment. Bad reviews are immediately followed by good ones that contradict exactly what the bad review said. A previous review said family/friends post good after bad. This would be to raise the overall rating back up. Funny, there were no reviews for years until a bad review got posted recently, then a few good ones popped up right behind it.

My experience with Ewing Automotive has always been positive. I have always been treated with respect and courtesy. I have always received quality workmanship with my car repairs and always felt that I was charged fairly. Repairs have always been completed in a timely manner. I'm surprised that anyone would say differently.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS! They grossly overcharged us and have absolutely no customer service skills. We brought our truck in and pointed out the part that seemed to be a problem. We asked them to look at it and confirm if that was our issue. They charged us $400 to tell us yes the clip was broken on the part. The $400 was not the repair cost, that was just to TELL US the clip was broken. And refused to accept our credit card because we complained about the cost. In addition, screamed at my wife and made a racial remark. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND TREATED RUDELY.
