I called and the professional young men were PERFECT in coming to pick up my car and dropping it off where I wanted it go within 30 minutes of my telephone call. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM for all services they provide.
READ THE OTHER REVIEWS—these people are crooks to say the least! Call elsewhere and get quotes before hiring them! Charged over $1000 more than what anyone else quoted and then charged $200 extra after quoting xxx$ (two and a half times more everyone else was roughly $700 Jmf wanted $1750)…Guess I should’ve checked other companies heavy wrecker rates first before using JMF!! Lesson learned! I like to support local/small businesses, but @ jmf in Thomaston they gonna rip you off every time! Read the other review about the guy being held for two days—basically same thing happened to me! IF YOU HAVE A SEMI AND NEED A TOW CALL AROUND FIRST OTHERWISE YOU ARE GOING TO GET SCREWED OVER!! THE MECHANICAL SERVICE HERE IS A JOKE ALSO—HAD TO TAKE ANOTHER TRUCK BACK THREE TIMES FOR A SIMPLE JOB AND IT STILL WASNT RIGHT…..HAD TO REDO EVERYTHING WE PAID THEM TO DO!
I was in a bad way when me and my wife were arrested and our car got Impounded. I believe that the towing fee of $300 was astronomical and the storage for 13 days was over $650 which totaled $950. The Owner did show compassion and reduced the bill by $150 so I’m super grateful for the help I received however its highway robbery in my book. The total length of the tow was only 3/4 of a mile
I’ve tried reaching out to them to resolve the issue, but their customer service is unhelpful, and they refuse to provide any clarity on the charges. It’s a shame that companies like this exist, taking hard-working people’s money without any regard for fairness or honesty.
I can’t say enough bad things about JMF Towing. Their business model is one that takes advantage of trucking companies. I work with a trucking company that was responsible for a truck that needed assistance and for less than two hours of JMF’s time and equipment they charged $30,000. They eventually settled for $19,000 but that is still outrageous for simply getting a truck out of a ditch and back on the road.
Beware of this company and look elsewhere for any services you need.

They charged us $18,015 for something that would normally cost $2,500.
They refused to tell us pricing before they started and charged us a crazy amount.
They held our truck and driver in their yard for 2 days. Refusing to let the driver go until cops were called. They played games with us in lowering the price then raising it back up again. They took advantage of us and the situation. They over charged us. The owner James Fortner was rude, cursed at me, and had 0 customer service skills.
We aren’t the first company they do this to.
We had an extremely disappointing experience with JMF after needing assistance to pull our truck and trailer off the side of the road. They charged us an outrageous $20,000 for what was essentially just a simple pull-out. There was no need to transport the units anywhere, and they were not called by the police or were we involved in any sort of accident.
Furthermore, there was no debris to remove, making the excessive charge even more baffling. The lack of transparency regarding their pricing is unacceptable. We felt taken advantage of, and it’s hard to believe any legitimate towing company would charge such an exorbitant rate for such minimal service.
I would strongly advise anyone in need of towing services to look elsewhere. This company does
seems more interested in exploiting vulnerable situations than providing fair and honest service.
I would say beware of this company has no compassion for fellow business owners definitely all about the money which you know is important however good character is just equally as important I wouldn't waste my time with this company and if for some reason you're in Georgia and your vehicle gets impounded or anything like that just understand whatever he says pay you're going to have to pay it he has no compassion whatsoever. I don't know what the laws are down in Georgia but I'm filing a report with the Attorney General's office down there as well because his prices are price gouge and absolutely ridiculous.
I called for a last minute pickup when another company fell thru. Mr. James got us two trucks immediately. The drivers were professional and very courteous. It please a pleasure using JMF Towing!!! I will definitely call them again.
I’ve been waiting since 5pm today on a locksmith with other companies and no one showed up. I’ve been one upset mama since my kids locked the keys in the truck. JMF showed up in 30 minutes just as they said they would. Thank you for your fast, great technique abilities, and reliable service.
I highly recommend JMF towing if you need a vehicle towed. I recently used JMF to tow my car after an accident one evening. It was after regular business hours and yet they were very prompt, professional and provided excellent customer service. I had a few misunderstandings with my insurance company, but JMF assisted me with very helpful guidance through this difficult ordeal. The friendly staff clearly and openly communicated with me during the entirely unfamiliar process. After an unfortunate event like I experienced, the stress of having to worry about my vehicle was the last thing I needed. JMF handled it with compassion and kindness which was definitely what everyone needs after a traumatic and stressful event such as a wreck. I will definitely be using them for all of my towing needs.
Company was quick to answer phone and was professional. It didn't take long for them to come to the house and tow my car to a local mechanic. Fair pricing. Will use them again if needed.
We broke down when our back wheel broke off while driving. We were literally stuck in the road with no way to get out of the way of traffic. We called JMF Towing and were told it would be a while since his driver was on another call and the owner was dealing with a family emergency. So here we are waiting, in the rain, freezing, with no way to get our car out of the way on a very busy road. We only waited about 10 min tops! The driver showed up and quickly loaded us and our car onto his rollback and drove us all home! He was extra nice, very respectful, and even gave us some of our money back since it wasnt as far away as he thought. I would recommend this tow truck service to anyone needing their help!! They're professionalism is top-notch!! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

I have called a number of times and not gotten any answer. If someone would call me, that would be great because I can't seem to get in touch when I call.

Towed car after a bad accident. Employee stole over $1200 worth of personal property from car before we could get it the next day. The guy used the stolen cell phone to text his ex-wife using her account to do it, shows under my wife's account. Owner denies all obvious proof that his people are thieves! Refused to discuss this issue with me!

Today I was out showing a house in Pike Co. The drive way was terrible and you could tell that people struggled before getting out. However, showings must go on. Got down the drive way. On the way back out I got stuck. I eventually worked myself loose then got stuck on the other side. The heavy rain just had the driveway too soft for my heavy car. Thankfully JMF was there in no time! They are very friendly and professional! Pulled my car out with no troubles and I was on my way! I highly recommend this company! I'm glad OnStar sent them out! I'd definitely use them again! Thank you!
