Do not use this place!! My fiancé bought a motor from here for a customer on 5-1-25. He payed $1,850 in cash but had to put $70 on my card (we forgot about extra fees) He had it in the car within 2weeks. Warranty was a month. Called and said engine was no good. They basically hung up in his face and said he didn’t buy motor from them and said he was a liar. Ever heard your dog ate your homework? Well our wonderful pitbull decided to eat our receipt. At this point the customer had also called and was told we never purchased motor. Today 7/29/25 I finally had some time to waste to go and get the proof of buying the motor after they couldn’t find the receipt. Kept saying they had a new system on their computer. The owner also expressed to me that they normally don’t give people another receipt without having an invoice number. After 30minutes of looking through the computer the lady at the front got up and went and grabbed a stack of papers and said she “accidentally didn’t put in those receipts that week”.
Replying to your reply: he did call back within 2weeks after we picked it up and y’all had told him “we know it’s a good motor and hung up in his face”. But you’re right there is 2 sides to every story and Karma will catch up to y’all one day.
Don’t know who answer it was a women and if you are the owner that’s bad business, most rudeness person I ever met looks like she don’t want business, and if the owner sees this I called about a 16 Hyundai accent totally rude.. I own small business company and I would never treat anyone like that!!! DO BETTER!!!!

I am 2 hours away and he wants me to come pay for part and than come back one more time to pickup parts. Don’t want to take payment over the phone
What I told him I am ready to go to pickup a part and ask him if they can have it ready he start yelling on me what I have to come pay first.

Client bought a transmission from this place, They Do not recommend doing a flush, A FLUSH IS THE NUMBER 1 thing you should always do before installing a used or new unit........ we installed the transmission, it does not go forward, they said warranty is void because we did a flush and didn't Put a stop slip, fixes leaks! Basically, telling you to add an aditive because the part probably doesn't function right.
Extremely horrible service . Was denied service simply for asking a question about warranty . I completely understand you can’t expect much from an auto salvage but simply speaking to your customers with some form of respect would be nice .
Dont buy from this place i bought a transmission 36 days ago paid $350 for it i was told it works nothing was wrong with it well i got sick after the day i got the transmission so it sat in my house for 3 weeks because i was sick in the hospital.. the 4 week i installed it in my truck with new fluid and filter i only had a 30 day warranty it sat in my house for 3 weeks ,the transmission i got from Bobs salvage its not working it slips in 2nd gear and in reverse i am getting a code po733 and a po732 gear ratio incorrect shifter solenoid malfunctioning the transmission it is no good i cant drive my truck i have to get another transmission and i am out of $350 Dont buy from this place i know if i call them and tell what happen they will not do anything so i am leaving this Warning DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE i was told by bob's it works its a good transmission and its not ITS A BAD TRANSMISSION ...i will never buy from this place again,, now am out of $350 and no transmission stay away from this place ,,,,,
Rude customer service. The guy behind the counter was too busy on the computer to notice that I walked in the door. I would avoid this so called junk yard. Prices were ridiculously overpriced for a rusty part for my truck.
Open new shop an started working with these guys awesome businesses such a pleasure working with them really enjoyed sitting an talking with mr bob very knowledgeable an helpful will definitely be call on them again
Live an hour and a half called about a fender. Asked for picture before i make the drive there. He said he couldnt take a picture and thanked me for my time and hung up. Rude service.
If I could give zero starts I would. Sold me a motor that doesn’t work and refused to listen to me or my questions! Hung up in my face multiple times when I called, called me out of my name and proceeded to call me out of my name. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERRRRR
terrible business and terribly ran i’m surprised he hasn’t shut the place down, highly recommend not going there. was mad because i looked at a car that was sitting right by the door. some nerve on this guy

Poor attitude towards customers and tybee transmission cost close to $600.00 and didn't last a month what i kinda expected after seeing everybody's reviews.
First time going to this place was today..the owner and employees were nice and friendly and they got my parts pretty quickly ,, their price was fair..and personally I will go here again
I have been a customer of Bobs Auto Salvage for over 20 years. I owned a used car lot for 20 years and the majority of the used parts we bought was from Rob at Bobs Auto Salvage. I through the years had bought parts from every conceivable junk and or salvage yard within 100 miles of Griffin. I learned quickly that if you went in to Bobs Auto Salvage with an attitude that you would receive exactly the same in return. Go in with a good attitude and you will get good service, go in with a bad attitude and you will reap what you sow. Over the years I developed a friendship with Rob. He is the kind of fellow that will give you the shirt off his back if you give him the chance, but he ain't nobodies push over. He is old school, respect is given when it is received. If you need good parts and service I would recommend Bobs Auto Salvage. I know for a fact that the few negative comments made here on Google have been made by people with hidden agenda's. When you need parts go in and see Rob, he will be happy to help you :)
Very rude and unhonest owner. Bait and switch...ask for a core so I brought a core back..he said it was not brought back in same condition as the motor I bought. Wow its is a core and he said "bring back a core" which I did. When I asked about it he said I was the rude one..I'm the consumer which now I know alot of consumers and will definately let all know..I should have listened when a co worker warned me of this place but I thought they were honest people. Lost $100.00 which he knew from the start that he was planning on his common bait and switch tatic..sad you have to make your money that way...glad I'm not on that side of carma.
Bait and switch. He must have realized his wife quoted me too low of a price because he tried to sell me the wrong part, a very common one, claiming it was the more rare part they quoted. His stuff isn't that nice and the service stinks. There is a better place just up the highway and they are honest as the day is long.
Friendly employees and great service. The people behind the counter knew exactly what we needed and how to get it for us. I suggest them to all my friends whenever they need something for their vehicles.
Do not shop here, they are incompetent and rude. They gave me a price on the phone,I drove 40 miles then they went up on the price.report them when you have problems. i think they need to be shut down.
