There are some basic rules that people need to follow, and they can only take certain common sense things, so best to call and ask ahead of time. They also dont pay for recyclables and ask for donations to help cover costs. Some common rules are to make sure recyclables are clean and dry, PLASTICS MUST HAVE CAPS AND LIDS TAKEN OFF with no plastic bags, styrofoam, cords, and no hard plastics...all boxes need to be flattened, even small ones, everything but aluminum drink cans go in the metal bins including food tins and aluminum bakeware (separate bins for aluminum soda/beer cans). No household trash drop-offs like mattresses or couches. Also, make sure you put items in correct bins or they can't be recycled and may contaminate everything else. Recycling can be a tricky business, rules may change but this place takes pride in their recycling and hold patrons responsible if there are issues. They ask the hard questions to ensure things do get recycled so pay attention, dont be rude, ask questions, and if its busy then WAIT for a parking spot, dont make your own and mess everyone else up. They know what they are doing. No greenwashing or wish-cycling allowed here.

My family has been recycling here for at least 10 years, and we have never had an issue. This is the only place, in Warner Robins, that takes just about everything there is to recycle. JUST PLEASE REMOVE THE CAPS FROM YOUR PLASTIC BOTTLES ?

Just went to drop off plastic recycles and place was closed (sign now shows closed at 1:00 p.m. versus 4:00 p.m.). When did hours change? When will web site be updated (still shows 4:00 p.m.)?

Horrible staff, also I am 99% sure it’s illegal for county or city run public establishments to solicit payment for their services that are already paid for by tax dollars

So glad there’s a place to take my recyclable waste! I am happy to donate my dollar! Thankful Centerville has the foresight to expand the service into a new larger facility soon!

The staff was very friendly, even offered to help me unload my car. The facility is very organised and clearly labelled so you know right away where you need to go. Donation is suggested but not required. I strongly suggest leaving a donation.

Great place to recycle. Volunteers and workers are friendly and helpful. One of the few places that still recycle plastics. Thank you Centerville!

Is good most of the time. Sometimes they change their hours around and you go there and they will be closed.

The Centerville Recycling Center is the most awesome thing. I’ve been going there from the time they opened. You can recycle metal (big and small things), office paper, magazines, glass (clear, brown, blue, green) with lids, motor oil and containers, cooking oil, aluminum, plastic (with numbers 1-7 on the bottom), and cardboard. It is staffed by volunteers and is conveniently located on a hill on Carl Vinson, close to Elberta Road intersection. Open Tues, Thurs, 10-4, and Sat 10-4.

Awesome place. They recycle almost everything except plastic bags, I take those to Walmart, they even accept motor oil. Open Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday 10:00 - 4:00. The volunteers who work there are very friendly. Do your part & recycle!

During the star of the pandemic I came a couple of times on the days and times the website said it would be open and it was closed so eventually I had to throw my items away. When they are open it’s nice and organized and the volunteers are friendly. Update: I haven’t any issues lately with them not being open on the days and times the website said they would be open.

Had the gentleman that runs the place point out to my partner that Happy Hour is much closer to where we live. Which is creepy, because the guy has no reason to know where we live. Nevermind that he is actually bringing boxes from work, which is in Centerville. He always leaves a donation, too. No idea why we were singled out to be made to feel unwelcome.

Helpful volunteers. The place can be packed at times but it's worth it to me to have a trustworthy recycling center.

Not open on time. Recycling rates would be better if everything was picked up curb side. Come on, Houston County, it is 2019.

The hours are a little inconvenient. I sometimes can't make it for a couple of weeks.

Great opportunity to recycle locally...wish there was one on the south side of the county. Thank you Centerville. #ForCenterville

Great Place. They make it so easy for people to bring their recyclables to the area. I wish everyone would come here to recycle.
