I had my vehicle serviced here in Dec 2026 while traveling through Locust, GA and was charged approximately $2,500 for major engine work that included timing-related repairs. Immediately after leaving, the vehicle ran rough at idle and continued to perform poorly. After returning home, I brought it to two separate mechanics for inspection. Both found multiple cam/crank timing-related fault codes and stated there were no visible signs that major engine disassembly had occurred (undisturbed bolts, sealant, and components). One also noted material in the cooling system that appeared consistent with block seal rather than coolant. I contacted the shop to request clarification and documentation of the work performed but was unable to obtain photos or proof of disassembly or replacement parts. I am currently working with my bank on a formal dispute and having a certified shop complete a full written diagnostic. I’m sharing this so others can make informed decisions: get everything in writing, ask for photos of the work, and consider having a second opinion before driving long distances after major repairs.

These guys here are AMAZING!!! They took care of my fuel pump and fuel tank on my BMW. I live 50 mins away and they are well worth the drive!

I brought these guys a pretty intensive repair, at least 12 hours under the hood of work and they not only worked with the warranty to get it all covered but also completed the work in a timely manner and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. I recommend these guys for anything automotive. Been in Locust Grove forever, forget all the other franchise places and trust Dave and the guys at A+ Automotive for all your car needs.

Excellent customer service! Assisted with a recommendation for a towing company to retrieve my daughter’s vehicle from I-75. They were also timely in the diagnostic and replacement of the radiator! Ask for Dave!

Bottom-line up front: A+ Automotive is a great establishment with knowledgeable and skilled mechanics, and they have very reasonable prices for the excellent work they perform. A+ is a superb local car shop that provides excellent work on all of my vehicles. What I enjoy most about this shop is the old-school vibe and the breadth of mechanical knowledge and skill the personnel demonstrate. I greatly appreciate their honesty and the fact that they own any mistakes and put in an effort to make things right. During one of my visits, I witnessed a shop manager engaging in a conversation with a customer who had purchased some cheap aftermarket parts that broke just over a month since being installed. The shop manager explained the situation in detail, apologized for the inconvenience, and worked out a solution to find authorized parts, install them, and help the customer get back on the road as soon as possible.

Don't judge a book by its cover. I'd highly recommend this shop. In a day in which honesty in this profession is scarce, this group seems to be very fair and honest with multiple recent jobs performed for my friends and family. Thank you for putting the customer first! Indeed, I give them an A+.

My experience with A+ Automotive was great…Mr David/Owner & the Manager made me feel at ease throughout the process of getting to the point of what was going on with my air conditioner issues…Mr Dave the Owner went out and beyond his way to fix an unexpected situation that helped saved me extra money with a warranty on my air compressor…I highly recommend A+ Automotive Repair to anyone…Great Service!!

This is a Great Auto Repair Shop. Friendly with Great Customers Services. I had to get my alternator replaced, which I had a warranty on the alternator with Auto Zone. They called spoke with Representatives and got everything done for me. This was around 11 am and @ 2pm they called for me to pick up car. Thanks A+ Auto

We were traveling when our car battery and temp light came on at 3AM. We called A+ Automotive first thing in the morning. They agreed to look at our car. Had it towed to their place and within 10 minutes they diagnosed the problem (seized up AC compressor & broken serpentine belt). They fit us into their busy schedule and fixed our car by 3pm that day! Dave and David were honest, fair and very accomodating to get our car fixed before they closed for the day & weekend. A true blessing for weary travellers! We would rate them 10 gold stars! Thank you for rescuing us.

Dave Sexton ..you are the "Best". We recently had trouble with the Check Engine Light staying on in our Dodge Ram 1500. Dave went above and beyond to found out what was causing the issue and fixed the problem. If you looking for honest mechanic along with great customer service take your vehicle to A+...you won't be disappointed.

My son and I were traveling when we broke down and had the wonderful fortune of finding A+ Automotive. The folks there were incredibly kind and very quickly had us back on the road again. Absolutely the best experience ever at a mechanic’s shop!

I was stuck at the bojangles parking lot when my car gear was moving freely and it would not start. ( I was so upset and crying whenever I walked over to A+ Automotive) and the gentleman was on the phone handling business and immediately he saw that I was so upset that he told the person on the phone he would call them back. He ask me what was going on and I could barley get out what my car doing, without hesitantion he walked with me back over to bojangles and helped me and explained to me with compassion in his voice how to change the gears under my hood so I could get back home. He was the most kindness person to me while I was in an almost nervous breakdown. He stated that he could fix it but it wouldn't be til Monday, that was no surprise to me knowing how this gentleman treated me that they were really busy. So if you ever need a true honest mechanic shop I highly recommend these folks here, you will not be disappointed.

My daughter and I were on a road trip passing thru when our AC simply stopped blowing much air. This mechanic was fully booked but took the time to check it out and got it fixed!!! We are beyond thankful for their kind service! 100% recommend their service!

My name is Charles, I was told by a friend of mine to take my car to A+ Automotive to get it checked out because of the engine light staying on. I did that and was meet with a very friendly man behind the counter. He was up front with me and asked me to leave my car their and they would check it out and find out the issue. Ok I did that and the next couple of days he texted me about my car and I went there and the problem was solved. great news. Here is what happen after driving my car for the next 2 days all good ,but on the third day my engine light came back on and has not gone back off. So I called the shop and the nice gentleman behind the counter tells me to bring it back. I did that so now I'm waiting to find out what's next and I'm hoping that it is something minor. By the way I am more than confident that A-+ Automotive will find the issue. I am writing this review in behalf of this shop because I feel like I'm in good hands and will be taken care of. With that being said if you are having problems with your car I don't think there is any shop better here in Locust Grove. Ga. Take your car there and have patience and you will get a good experience. thanks

The most honest and friendly mechanics I’ve ever given my business to. Dropped my car off for an overheating issue that I had on my way to and from work. The guys had my car in the shop same day diagnosing the cause. They displayed that they do everything in their capabilities to find the solution, and give their customers a peace of mind. They are honest and upfront about costs. I thought it was a more serious issue pertaining the a head gasket, but it turned out to be something very minor without a high cost. They easily could have gave me the go around on my repair, but instead handled business the way it should be done. Can’t say enough positive things I experienced from the guys. From the owner David, as well as Don and Tommy, all are top tier with their professionalism and knowledge. You guys will continue to get my business in the future without a doubt. Thanks again.

My check engine light was on and it was driving funny. I was scared to drive it to my regular mechanic in Stockbridge so my friend recommended me to A+. I will say I was very pleased with my service. My car only needed an oil change.. I was going off the gage for my oil change and Don explained that I have to off the oil sticker.

With Mom (me) and Dad out of town, my 20-something daughter had to find a place to get some work done on her car (after ignoring it for far too long). She was incredibly nervous and worried she'd have a hard time finding a place she could trust with people who would treat her properly and not the "Oh poor little girl, let's totally take advantage of you" type place. I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call today with her saying how happy she was when she left. They explained things to her, spoke respectfully and kind to her, and made her feel comfortable and SAFE. She felt like things were priced More than Fair and has said she'll never go to another automotive repair shop again, only them! So, there you have it, something to say about people that make your kiddos feel safe and respected. 5 stars. 10 outta 10 recommend.

Honest trustworthy people, man I found myself years ago learning to fix my own car because I couldn’t trust people. I found this place an have been twice, good honest people, great work. I believe the prices were great as well. Always had my car out same day.

I'm new to the LG area and recently lost my husband. My check engine light came on and scared me. I looked at Facebook and saw the great reviews. I took my car to the shop and they repaired in a few hours and didn't charge me anything! I feel so blessed that a business such as this were so honest and caring to this "old woman"! Our vehicle broke down traveling from Ontario to Florida. No other shop in town would help us. A+ looked at it right away, read the codes, diagnosed the problem and gave us a work around to get us on our way and didn't even charge us. The other shops all wanted us to leave it for a week. So grateful for the help and the kindness.

These guys are amazing! I walked in after a check engine light came on. They knew I was in the middle of a couple thousand mile trip and still had 9 hours to go. They could have totally taken advantage of me. They checked my car over, reset the light, told me what to watch out for and sent me on my way....no charge! Nice honest people! ❤️

Great, friendly and honest! The got me up in running in less than an hour and a half at an extremely fair price.

I randomly found this shop while stopping to get gas and noticing my van was leaking oil heavily. The man that helped me was extremely friendly and reassuring. He had a waiting room that my little girl enjoyed drawing on the whiteboard walls, in. The price couldn't be beat, and we drove off confident after finding out our oil leak was a minor, quick fix after all. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a quick repair or more extensive work.
