I want to share my honest feedback about my recent experience. When I first called the shop, I was told over the phone that a diagnostic would be required before a repair quote could be provided. That sounded reasonable to me at the time. Once the diagnostic was complete, I was surprised to learn that their total quote was significantly higher than expected. At that point, I felt cornered—if I chose not to proceed with the repair, I’d still be out $165 for the diagnostic. This caught me off guard. Every shop I’ve dealt with in the past waives the diagnostic fee if you go ahead with the repair, which makes logical sense. I was disappointed to learn that honest-1 doesn’t follow this practice. Not wanting to lose that money or deal with the inconvenience of retrieving my car, I reluctantly agreed to move forward. When I received the final invoice, I was even more disappointed to see additional charges such as “Hazardous Materials - $21.00” and “Shop Supplies - GA $49.89.” For a straightforward and a small wiper motor replacement, these fees seemed unjustified. Most shops—including the dealer—simply charge for parts, labor, and tax, nothing more. To be honest, this entire experience turned out to be unpleasant. I had actually contacted the dealer before reaching out to this shop and received a quote of about $600 plus tax for parts and labor. As most people would agree and expect, I assumed an independent shop like Honest-1 would be more affordable than a dealer. So when a dealership ends up being the significantly cheaper option, it’s difficult to see the value in choosing this shop.
I have taken four automobiles to this location with various repair needs.
The Service manager and other staff at the location are very professional.
Their prices seem a little high, but once they have your car at the shop and give you the price sometimes you approve it just to get your car back on the road
My most recent visit, I went to the location for an estimate on a common wear and tear item on my car they said there would be a $25 dollar diagnostic fee. I said ok
The price that they could offer me was 100% higher than the dealership where I bought the car offers utilizing all original manufacturing equipment parts
So on the fifth car I took to them I just picked it up gave them their $25 diagnostic fee and took it to the dealership and saved a significant amount of money
They said they offer a three-year guarantee on all repairs and parts installed. If the customer is charged double the price other repair facilities charge for the same repair then Honest 1 could offer everyone a three year guarantee because everyone that comes to them for a repair is being charged double the amount for the repair
The estimating program that they are required to utilize to provide their customers with a repair estimate must need an update or the owner of this company is just price gouging people
I would suggest shopping around if receiving an estimate from them and you will find that many other garages will offer you a lower price
I just went to Honest-1 Auto Care today, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I've always taken my car to the dealer's service center, but my positive experience here has me rethinking that decision.
Clean office, polite staff, fair pricing, clear communication...and complementary water/coffee/snacks...I can see why they're so well rated. I recommend them based on my experience.
I needed a regular oil change for my vehicle. I was able to make an appointment that suited my schedule. Once I arrived for my appointment, I was able to get right in and did not have to wait very long. After about half an hour I was on my way home.
What a great experience. Honest-1 was able to squeeze me in for the service I needed. They did a great job and also provided me with a list of maintenance items coming up soon, so I can plan my expenses properly. Most mechanics just rip you off and push you out the door. Honest-1 has great customer service and they work hard to develop a trusting long-term relationship. Love these guys!!!!!
I can confidently say that Honest Auto Care in Suwanee is the best and most honest auto shop I have ever been to in my life. They serviced my Escalade yesterday , and the entire experience was exceptional.
From the start, their team was transparent, easy to communicate with, and incredibly professional. They took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring there were no surprises. Their pricing is fair and competitive, which is rare to find in the auto repair industry.

I recently visited Honest 1 Auto Care at Johns Creek for an A/C service, enticed by their flier advertising a regular price of $179.95 with a $30 discount. However, my experience was far from honest.
Upon arrival, Justin informed me that the flier I had was four years old and that the current price was at least $300 and more. To verify this, I called the Roswell location, and the person on the phone quoted me $200. This discrepancy made me question the so - called "honesty" of the Johns Creek location.
As if that wasn't enough, I also inquired about a full synthetic oil change. They advertised $89.95 for 5 qts of oil, but since my car takes 5.5 qts, I was quoted $119.95. That's an additional $30 for just 0.5 qt!
It's clear that they need to proofread their fliers and ensure their pricing is consistent. I had to cancel my appointment, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this location.
Save your time and money; go somewhere that values honesty and transparency.
Not sure I buy the Honest part anymore. Came in for breaks and left with a list of items I needed to take care of “right away” on my 2019 Toyota. I ended up taking my vehicle and the list of things to my regular repair shop in Stone Mountain and my mechanic said 90% of what was on their list was bogus. Guess I’ll try Speed Auto Repair when I need something fixed quickly and honest.
I have bought my car here a few times. Always great service. Fast & friendly and to the point. They take pictures of everything & give detailed explanations of the problem & how to solve it. Great place.
Professional Freindly service staff. Did a complete evaluation. Provided pictures of each item needing repair. Worked to combine repairs in the same areas to save on labor costs. Cars running fantastic. Able to arrange transportation back and forth to the shop. A+

They lost me as a customer. I had been taking my cars there for several years. During the summer, they said I needed a new transmission on the Honda for about $7,500 due to a grinding sound. I took it to another mechanic and the Honda dealership. Both of those places said that wasn’t the case and it just needed fluids or fluids flushed, not a new transmission. I saved $7,500 and the car is still fine, four to five months later with no issues! I can’t believe they went straight to the $7,500 fix instead of trying other possible solutions… It makes me wonder why the business is called Honest-1.
I have been taking all our vehicles to Honest-1 for years! They are truly remarkable ... very detailed and honest about what needs immediate attention and what can wait! I even take our vehicles under warranty to Honest Auto to make sure the dealerships are not missing anything .... they notice every detail needing attention! Thank you Honest Auto!!
My wife recently took our vehicle here because of the check engine light being on… We got a diagnostic that was not applicable to any future repairs. That sort of took me by surprise, but fortunately, when the diagnostic came back, they were very thorough with all of the things That were an issue or pending issue with my vehicle. I think this is great because it gives you an opportunity to decide whether or not to use this facility or get the repairs done elsewhere. Most of the repairs on that diagnostic I was able to get done right there Within a day or two with another repair, I got done at a specialty garage with whom I had a warranty repair already done. To be very clear I was happy with the work and professionalism at this shop and in the future if I ever need a major repair, I will be returning.
The name of this automotive repair shop says everything you need to know. One of the most relaxing, stress-free, and courteous shops I have ever had a vehicle at. Highly recommend and will be returning in the future!
From the first phone call, to the moment I picked up my vehicle, this was hands down the BEST experience I have ever had with anything relating to my vehicles. It is almost always a hassle or some ropes you have to jump through but this was literally just the perfect experience. Clear cut, to the point, polite, timely, wonderful people. Seriously I have no other way to describe this place besides the fact that business name is just PERFECT. Because it really purely felt like the most HONEST experience ever. This was my first time at Honest 1 and all the staff was so nice and super helpful! They sent me a detailed report after the inspection with photos so I could see the issues myself which was super nice! They also printed off my Carfax for me to see my service records from other shops. Will definitely be bringing my car back!
I have used Honest 1 Auto care more than several times. They are always professional, as well as efficient. I like that they explain what services need urgent attention and those that can wait awhile. Their approach is very educational in nature.
Now that our Hyundai Palisade is out of the included maintenance, I decided to look elsewhere from the dealership service center. Several of my neighbors had glowing reviews of honest one, so I took a chance with them and I've been very pleased so far without the vehicle feels after being in their hands and the pricing of all the myriad of services I received. It probably would have been three times the price at the dealership. Justin and Mike took great care of me as well as their mechanic team, I'll be bringing in our other vehicle there soon. For an oil change, their prices are higher than those of other facilities. Their full-point inspection was disappointing; they sent me pictures of a small oil stain on the engine but completely overlooked a loose battery clamp. After calling the facility and speaking to the manager, Justin, I received a vague response stating that they do not service the battery. When I pointed out that a battery test had been conducted without noticing the unsecured clamp, he was unable to provide a clear answer.
Took my GFs Camaro SS in for a 120 point inspection after receiving the car from Vroom. They gave me a ride home and went over the entire vehicle in a timely fashion, and emailed the detailed report to both of us.
Very pleased and will be back for any future needs!
Great experience for a first time customer. Had an alignment done and the tech explained the before and after results. In at 0945 and out by 1030…and with a discount coupon from Discount Tire, the cost was $145 less than the quote from the dealer. My 2019 Taco has found a new home for service. This shop is definitely top shelf! Like Arnold said, “…I will be back!”

Both of the service techs at the front desk were helpful and friendly. I am not from Suwanee and was broken down and therefore, stuck. But, they diagnosed and fixed my Chrysler Crossfire in under 24 hours - wow!
Brought my Cadillac CTS Sportwagon in for an oil change and 100k engine service. During the inspection, it was noted that the front brakes needed to be replaced and the front left wheel bearing was failing. When I picked up the car, there was a very noticeable difference in the performance. This is not the first time I've taken the car in for service and it won't be the last. They tell what needs to be fixed and they fix it. They have never tried to upsell me. Highly recommend them.
Recently took my car to Honest One Auto and they did a great job, as always. I’ve been here about 5 times and the staff is courteous, professional, very knowledgeable and HONEST! It feels great when you have a auto mechanic you can trust and rely on. Highly recommend!
