Bought a 350 engine for a 1999 suburban didn’t even last a year no power too much trouble trying to have it taken out and bringing it back up there but at the time I didn’t know nothing about compression check at the time And waste of $1200 and a nice suburban would not a chip in the paint had to scrap because city got onto me because of it Setting

Thank you Givens Auto! If it weren't for your willingness to confirm if I even needed the alternator I came to purchase, I would have done unnecessary repairs on my car. Thank you Williams for running the test on my car and giving your recommendation of action to correct my issue (he was right). The lady in the office told me they cared about helping their customers and they do. I highly recommend you check them out; they were also the only used parts yard that had the original part I was searching for.

SOLD ENGINE WITHOUT MILEAGE DOCUMENTATION. I usually never write a review because who wants to read someone complain? This one is needed. Do NOT recommend buying an engine here. If you do so MAKE SURE to firmly ask over and over for the mileage of the engine you are getting. We went here looking for a used engine, no problem. We were told the engine had 135k on it. The paper and receipt given did not have no documentation of the mileage. Asked the lady to write down the mileage so we have some type of document that this is a lower mileage engine than the one we have. She did not and proceeded saying the receipt is the given information. ( receipt HAS NO DOCUMENTATION OF MILEAGE) See that’s already weird…. Now when I go back to get the mileage of the engine “No information on the engine” So they tried to give us a blank slip saying this is the mileage. BUT WE would have to fill it in……Is that not illegal for us to do? YES! Why even give us the paper?…. No wrong questions … Why didn’t we receive this slip upon purchase? The lady on the phone who I spoke to and when I arrived there, she asked us “ Why did you not ask for the mileage? “ …… Ma’am. 1.I’m not the one behind the window. If I was I would state the mileage on an every USED engine I sell. Staple that slip with the mileage right on their receipt. Setting my customer up with trustworthy information. 2. WE DID! We definitely wouldn’t come up there if we didn’t. The employee at the window would not give us the mileage that’s why we came ! Don’t blame your customers blame the employee who insisted on NOT giving US the mileage originally when asked? Please present that slip to your future customers UPON purchase if you’re going to delete the information anyways. Thanks

Bought a part from here and thought the part was rather high price. Asked them their refund policy and said bring back with receipt within 30 days. Part was rusted and I could get new for $7 more so ordered online and put new part (brake caliper) on. Returned the rusted 1 got here 2-3 days after buying and they tell me they don't do refunds and point to a sign basically saying forget getting your money back from them. Their people skills are absolutely the worst I've encountered in awhile!

Drove down from Tennessee, and the owner and his wife are two of the nicest people. Bought a truck bed, their staff were the greatest as well. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Recommend these people to anyone needing a part, very nice experience.

I bought an engine block which has been a while now and runs good so far, no issues. The only complaint I have is how expensive some parts are even when they are damaged and used. Another is the staff's demeanor towards customers; they were a bit impertinent when I asked for parts/costs.

If I could post half a star I would. This place has higher prices than new parts. I called for a tail light for my suv and their price was $75 when a brand new one is only $67.95. I talked to 2 different people on the phone that were rude and very unhelpful. I was going to pay the difference because they had the part in stock and everywhere else had to order it. When I called it was 2pm on Saturday and the rude man on the other end of the line told me they were closing and that I wouldn't be able to get the part until Monday even though they don't close until 3. I dont understand how this place is still in business. Go to pull-a-part or buy new. These people are horrible!!!

Had to replace an alternator in my ex's Toyota Corolla very easy called them found one went and picked it up 10minutes before they closed.i got the right one and it was 130.00$ cheaper than auto zone or advanced Auto and O'Reilly's.paid for it went out front put it on and it works great! Then the next day my girlfriend of four years broke up with me! Imagine that!! How's that for gratitude for ya.but yeah givens is a great place I recommend it to anyone if you need a peer they probably have it!

Can't go in the yard anymore, people rude, doesn't sell radios anymore? Doesn't have mowers, atvs, bikes(only cars) I will stay to pull a part and pick n pull. Don't waste your time

So this is my experience. We have a 2012 Dodge caravan that was ticking and eventually died. We went in to get a used motor put in. We assumed that the motors would be checked by a mechanic. So the junkyard sells me the motor. However, they claim that there's no one to install it. They recommend a young man named Matthew. I find out that Matthew pretty much works there every day and the reason why they separate all this out is so that they can give you the run around. If you find something wrong with the motor they will tell you to go to the mechanic. The motor was installed after waiting a week and the day we picked it up we complained because the motor was ticking louder than my previous motor was before it died. There were several dents on the fender and it was covered in oily handprints in and out. The owners and the mechanic assured me that the engine was fine and that this was common for this type of engine. I was not satisfied and I let them know that. However, I needed a vehicle. My vehicle had already been gone for 3 weeks and I'd already spent $3,000. So we took the vehicle. After about a week the vehicle dies again. We have to afford another tow to have it towed out to the junkyard. After repairing it, we have it for another week or so and it dies again. Making us pay for yet again another tow. This would be the third time I complained. I was told there was nothing they could do. Again, I went to who I believe is the owner and complained about the motor. He assured me the motor was going to be just fine. I asked him if he had the motors checked out and he said he did and that some ticking was acceptable. I don't expect a used motor to be brand new. However, I do expect it to work as it should. After this, it has been about a month and the motor sounds horrible and lacks power. We are worried it's just a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. we've spent $3,000 and 3 tow truck bills about 100 a piece, that we could have put down on a new vehicle. And now I am not able to repair the motor they should have repaired. I feel absolutely screwed. Update: The engine I purchased started misfiring again. Replaced every coil pack every spark plug. By the way, the mechanic told me he had already done this at the junkyard. I replace several other parts in the engine. Still runs like complete garbage. The engine throw codes after codes and even the dealership is clueless. Thanks Givens! You screwed another good customer. 12/27/23 It died. I am gonna check into sueing them.

My attempt to procure used car parts from Givens parts yard 1 via phone left me thoroughly disappointed. The customer service over the phone was remarkably unhelpful, displaying a lack of concern for customer inquiries. The staff seemed disinterested and provided minimal assistance, making it challenging to convey my specific needs. Instead of offering guidance or suggestions, I was met with indifference, leaving me frustrated and questioning the reliability of their services. Moreover, the prices quoted over the phone were unreasonably high, far exceeding the market average for used car parts. The lack of transparency and willingness to work with customers on pricing only added to the overall negative experience. Even though I didn't physically visit the yard, the poor customer service and inflated prices encountered during the phone interaction are enough to discourage me from considering Givens Auto parts yard 1 for any future automotive needs. I would caution others against relying on their services based on the many disappointing encounters I've had with this company

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They sold me the wrong ECM for a jeep wrangler and refused to refund me even with proof that it didn’t work. They are crooks and will treat their customers like garbage. Go ANYWHERE but here!

Rudest, people I have ever dealt with in my life, they are a business open to the public, but they become very upset when you start asking questions. It's like they were inconvenienced by you coming into their place of business and giving them money.

Do not expect good costumer service. The staff in the office was rude, short and dismissive. I got the impression that just showing up was an annoyance to her. The yard staff was not any better. I will definitely not be back. I would suggest if you get a job that deals with the public, you should actually like dealing with the public. All the staff I was in contact with today should go to charm school or something. I will never come back.

I sent my son to pick up a lower control arm. They made him pay before he even saw the part . Get home and you can see clearly the part is garbage.. Gave him back half the money and said it was a gift for doing that!! They were also very rude to him for no reason whatsoever.. Do yourself a favor and run far away. It’s obvious why this place has a 3 star rating!!! I’m really surprised it’s that high!! No refunds is a definite red flag for a business

Bought a used engine for our business. Two weeks later it spun two rod bearings. They did not stand behind the engine and when we went to get the casting number to order parts needed we discovered that it had been ground off. Beware! Do not use them for salvaged parts.

I called and asked how much would a inner fender would cost and this lady told me 110. That's a lot of money so I did some research and I got one for 18 dollars on a website called rockauto. They have every part that you need for your vehicle and way cheaper. The people at this givens place is very rude and charge a lot of money for used parts.

I bought a used transmission in March of 2016 for my 1999 Infiniti QX4. It has been absolutely flawless! I like that they pull the parts after you ask for them so they don't dry rot on a shelf. The other negative reviews I've read I can't relate to because everyone was nice to me. I say nice.. they weren't like, "hello sir! How are you today?!? How can we serve you??" It was like walking in to an old hardware store. If you know exactly what you need and be assertive then, in my experience, you get what you are looking for. You can't go in there and be like "I think it's either a 2005 or a 2006.. what's a production date??" Do your research first and then go in there with answers to all the questions they're going to ask. Michael Greene

ZERO STARS!!! We went in to see what they would charge for a Nissan upper duct air intake hose. Keep in mind these are used parts they have. They were asking $75.00 for a used one. I called the Nissan dealership in Buford, they have a brand new one for $80. Advanced Auto Parts has a brand new one for $72. I also found a ton of used ones online for anywhere between $54-70. The people at Givens were very rude when I asked them if they would be willing to come down in price. I asked them why I would pay $75 for a used one when I can get a new one for $5 more. They replied "We sell 5-6 of these a week, so we can't go lower than $75" . So basically they are willing to rip everyone off because people actually buy from them not knowing parts are far cheaper at other locations. I imagine this is why they have such poor reviews.

Can I say less than 1 star? Terrible customer service, they greet you with an attitude, followed by talking down to you, and topped off with being short with you. How they stay in business I have no idea. After quoting me an outrageous price, I found my part cheaper- new - from the dealership! This is not my first experience with them, it's the standard atmosphere. Steer way clear!

Only USED PARTS store that had an engine for my 05 Equinox for under $1k and also under 90k miles, every other place wanted over $1k and the miles were way more than what my car had. Pulled it apart to do visual inspection and it looks good. Warranty has expired for over 2 months now and engine still runs like new.

I gave this place a shot despite the negative reviews and I am glad I did! I found the Jeep engine I needed during an online search and gave thes guys a call. They quoted a very low price that seemed too good to be true for the mileage but they assured me the info was correct. I drove down the next day to pick it up and the staff was very nice and professional. They showed me the engine I requested and then loaded it up in the back of my truck after I agreed to it. I payed and was headed home in about 15 minutes. The engine is now in my Jeep and it is running as smooth and powerful as a 4.0 with 76,000 miles should! I'm looking forward to this engine outliving my Jeep and when the next thing goes out Givens will be the first place I call.

DO NOT SHOP HERE Their selection is huge, they have one of the largest salvage collections I have seen. I called a week before I drove 220 miles to pick up parts and they said they had all the parts I wanted and they were in good condition. Unfortunately their computer system was wrong. The transmission I was told was "good" had a badly cracked case rendering it completely useless. They never once apologized for the situation and didn't seem concerned at all that I had driven 220 miles to buy parts they didn't have. Aside from this, their policy is to trust the computer system (that was down when I showed up), they don't pull the parts until you pay for them so for some parts you can't be sure what you're getting until you have waited hours for them to pull the parts first. I wouldn't recommend shopping at Givens Auto Parts. They don't seem to offer good service and their prices are not competitive. Keep in mind the service hours posted on Google are wrong. They are close Wednesdays and Sundays. That is on their website and on their phone recording but wrong on Google maps.
