This company is beyond unacceptable. They promised to arrive within the hour, but I waited over three hours with zero updates. When I called, the staff was rude and dismissive, acting like my situation didn’t matter. The driver finally showed up with a terrible attitude, handled my car recklessly, and then slapped me with a bill nearly double the original quote. Completely dishonest, unprofessional, and not worth a single cent. Avoid them at all costs.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. The driver was unprofessional, arrived far later than promised, and offered no clear explanation for the delay. Communication with the company was poor — calls went unanswered or I was put on hold for long periods. When the tow finally happened, my vehicle was handled carelessly, and I was charged more than the original quote with no justification. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company and looking elsewhere for reliable, honest service.
Tim took the time to help me out when he didn't have to. My vehicle was treated with respect and all my belongings were Intact. Very professional and very compassionate people. I don't recommend anyone else. I never write reviews so that should say something. Five stores is not enough

Called in for towing, told me 1h wait I agreed waited 2 hours, called again very rude lady said he is on his way, another hour no one showed up called again, same lady told me again he is on his way after another hour no show called different company came in after 30 min … worst towing company ever left me stranded in 98 degree heat on highway….
Ronnie and his staff are the best! They respond very quickly, are attentive to detail, keep open communication and handle all vehicles with great care.
These ladies are incredibly sweet and kind. Most people who have a vehicle impounded are going through a rough time and both of the ladies I dealt with were so, so nice and patient and understanding. If I ever need any towing at all, American Towing will be my first call.
Roswell PD called American Towing for us after my son was in a wreck. Ronny came promptly and gave me collision advice and put me at ease about where my car was headed. I even got in the action and drove the wrecked car onto the flatbed, that was a first for me. Ha ha! Car ended up being totaled by our insurance estimators but when I went to the yard to get my final belongings out of the car, Carrie in the office couldn't have been nicer! And...I could NOT get my plate off so another guy came out and wrestled in 90+ degree heat and assisted me to get the plate off. Everyone was really nice and helpful! If you need a tow service or any of their services, I recommend!
I pulled up there today because the shopping center entrance to where I needed to go to the cleaners was being worked on by the city so it was blocked, I pulled into the parking lot I asked nicely if I could park there while I go get my wash and fold clothes and that lady who works there I don’t recall her name. She was the rudest person ever she told me I could not park my car there and get my clothes then I ask if I can speak to the manager, so she called the manager and she insisted that she said no first she would not let me talk to him myself they are very rude she had a snippy attitude and I was asking her very nicely I said may I please park in your parking lot to go get my clothes in the shopping center across the way I will never refer these rude people to tow my car they will probably steal something out of it.
Outstanding company! They delivered a 40 foot reefer container down our very sketchy driveway and the driver Westley was an absolute master with his truck! I've seen many truck drivers over the years with large deliveries to my business and the two drivers we've seen from them (I believer JR was the other driver) they were hands down the best drivers I've ever seen, so impressed!
Roswell PD called these guys up to pickup my car after an accident. They got there very quickly and gave me their business card. They pick up on the first ring! Super professional and easy to work with. They were very respectful of property and kind.
Extremely expensive towing. Got into my first collision and was not aware and not notified I had the right to call my own insurance's towing service. When we asked the tow truck driver to tow our car to a different place than their impound lot, he said it was too far. The tow truck driver was extremely eager to tow our car on the site of the accident and not very communicative. Since we were very shaken up by the accident, we let him tow our car, as he just said, "we'll bill your insurance." (We ended up having to pay out of pocket.) The bill came out to $255. Please note there is a per-day charge of $20 that your car is left at the impound lot. We scrambled to get our car out of there as fast as possible. Just all-around a headache.
They were actually pretty nice. I talked respectfully to them and in return they were helpful and made the process of getting my car back a little less stressful.
I had my first accident today and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced, I was already pretty scared that I was getting towed but when the guys showed up to get my car they made me feel sm better cause they were so nice. They explained to me what my best option was and helped me explain it to my mom and overall made my experience better.
RIP OFF ALERT! My Yukon was totaled yesterday(5/24) when a taxi driver pulled out of a parking lot, crossed two lanes of traffic and pulled in front of me in my lane. The police were called and the city of Roswell uses American Towing to clear accidents. The guy came immediately and I told him I had the address of where my vehicle needed to be taken. He told me to let him get it off the road first. (have that on video) When I gave him the address, he said they were not allowed to leave Roswell after 2:00. THIS WAS AFTER HE LOADED MY TRUCK AND PULLED OFF THE ROAD. He was truthful in telling me he could not leave Roswell after 2 because they are on call with the city so I asked him to take my truck off his flatbed and leave it there. His said he would take it off but I would have to pay him first. He would only accept cash (which I later found out was not supposed to be the case) and the charge was $155! I did not have that amount of cash with me and he refused to wait for my husband, to get there to pay him. My truck was taken to an impound lot and by 10:00 this morning the fee had gone from $155 to $255 when we sent a tow truck to get it. After a couple of calls and letting them know we had already talked to an attorney, they finally agreed to release my truck for $195. (tow fee plus $20 impound fee for yesterday and today)
When my husband spoke to the owner after our truck had been hauled away and the owner told us they do accept credit cards. Sure they have to clear the road but what this driver did was not right. Maybe that's why he would not give me his name when I asked???? By law, they do have to clear the road for traffic but they do not have to take your vehicle especially if you ask them to leave your vehicle and are willing to pay them.
Heaven forbid, if you are in an auto accident in Roswell and American Towing shows up to tow your vehicle do not let them take it! Yes, they do have to get it off the road and you may have to pay them for that (AND you can give them a credit card) but DO NOT LET THEM TAKE IT TO AN IMPOUND LOT. Bad enough that you're in and accident but over charging and demanding cash is 'highway robbery' at it's best!
We own a local repair business and use tow companies many times a week. I can assure you if a tow driver or company ever treated our customers in the manner I experienced yesterday, we would NEVER call them to help our customers again!
My daughter was involved in a head-on collision. When I went to collect the totaled car, I was presented with a towing bill for $400. Charges included $50 for “clean up”, $60 for “admin letter”, and a $5 “fuel surcharge”. These charges are completely unreasonable, and I’m embarrassed to have paid them. I would not recommend using this company under any circumstances.
Awesome Customer Service from the initial call I made to have someone come to me and tow my truck, they came with a sense of urgency and the driver was so nice and helpful....would recommend their service to anyone!
I've never had a wrecked car that was towed before and I had no idea what the process was. Martha from American Towing couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She explained all of my options, gave me multiple phone numbers of people who buy wrecked cars, and set a cap on the storage fees since I was actively trying to remove my car from the lot. [Side note: none of the four people I called were reliable. Most sounded really shady.] That's when I decided to donate my old wrecked car (1998 Buick Park Avenue) to Catholic Charities, who used Pull-A-Part used auto parts in Norcross to pick-up my wreck. Pull-A-Part called me the same day to arrange the pick-up for the next day. Their driver, Kelvin, called me two pick-ups in advance and again 45 minutes before my own pick-up to meet me at American Towing so I had plenty of time to re-arrange my schedule. Very courteous and timely. American Towing (Martha) allowed Pull-A-Part's tow truck to enter their yard to retrieve my wreck. Martha made a stressful experience much better with her friendliness and helpfulness.
Absolutely fantastic company to deal with. Great driver and operator of his equipment. I had a special request to move a container and they did it perfectly. I had some trouble moving it into the location I wanted. When American showed up they had it covered and completed the move in a timely manner. Highly recommend this company for your towing needs. Horrible towing company. I was in an accident and my car had to be towed. while I was talking to the cops american towing began hooking up my car to take it. They never asked for my permission or asked if there was somewhere I wanted it towed to. Next thing I know their taking off with my car. The next day i call AAA to get my car towed to a shop I trust. American towing wanted $350 before I could take the car off their lot. So they basically stole my car and wanted money for a service they were never asked to do. Do not trust American Towing, they will steal from you and still expect you to pay them.
