I've bought 2 engines from here, won't be buying another, I know when they pull the motors there in a hurry but they literally cut every hose and component on the motor for no reason so after you buy the motor then have to buy all new hoses and components you would be better off to buy a crate motor it would be way cheaper, stop cutting unnecessary stuff off the motors 2200 dollars for a used engine that I have to replace every single thing on cause there careless

Waited around for 3 hrs. Just to tell me that they can't get a window out a car that I needed. ( hatchback window for a hhr 07). Wasted my time. Bad business. You should let me know ahead of time. Very disappointed, and I won't ever do business with them. Tell me it will be tomorrow. How? When the guys couldn't get it out then, what difference will tomorrow be? Just ridiculous.
Called about a transmission for my '95 4runner, automatic 4wd, they said $600. (I put down a $50 deposit). Got there and they told us $692. We went and found a different salvage yard, where the guy said he knew some people that had a few for $500 and less, plus lkq online has several for $688 that are rebuilt AND inspected with a 3 year warranty. Will not be going back, incredibly disappointed.
Friendly knowledgeable staff! If they do not have the part you need on their yard, they will gladly let you know where the closest one is available locally.
Google states that this place is open until 5:30 pm. I needed a brake booster and had family members drive 2 hours to my house to help me out. We went to Salvage Hunter because their website said they had a brake booster for $50. We got there at 4:45, and I guess it was the manager, was walking out the door to leave. He said "Sorry we are locking up for the day, we close at 5." Mind you, it was 15 minutes until 5 and all I needed was one part. I told him that it says they're not supposed to close until 5:30 and he said "So what?"
I'm just saying, if I were running a business and a customer needed something and I could make a dollar real quick, I'd stay open for another 2 hours to make sure they got what they needed, not close 15 minutes (45 minutes) early. It wouldn't have taken 5 minutes to get what we needed, give him the money, and be on our way. And instead of letting us do that, or even politely telling us to come back the next day, the guy was super rude. There was a junkyard right up the road, Otting and Sons. Not only did they stay open for us, but they were super polite and the part was cheaper. Don't waste your time here for people that won't give you basic respect and show common decency.
I have searched high and low for a spare for my newly purchased used vehicle and could not find one at a reasonable price anywhere until I found this location through a friend! Great guys very helpful and positively reasonable! They will be my regular place for used parts from now on.
Worst salvage I have been to. No customer service. They close before they are advertised to close. They don't sell connections. As if people are lined up to buy whole harness assemblies. Would not even consider selling me the part I needed.
My experience at salvage hunter was a great. Their prices was very reasonable and the customer service was good as well. One thing I really liked was I was not reasonable for pulling my own parts! I will be back.
Way over priced! There is 2 more salvage yard right down the road with more cars, and a fraction of the prices. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
