I was asked to leave a review and decided to wait until I got the part in to do so. Aside from some phone tag, purchasing the engine was smooth, was pleased to hear they would deliver, it was brought to me 3 days after purchase. Great. Got the engine put in and it was immediately knocking. After a few minutes of running, the engine blew. This is all on camera. Tried to call from good Friday all the way til the next Friday and either got no answer or was told they would call back and they didn't. The engine came with a 30 day warranty and 10 days were lost trying to get a straight answer about a replacement on the phone. Again, documented with phone call receipts. Decided I didnt want a replacement, I just wanted a refund and was told it would require a 25% restocking fee. Which is not listed anywhere on the paperwork. Okay fine, I can deal with that, its ready and now I'm told it must be returned by me. After days and days of back and forth, waiting on call backs that never came and "I need to ask this person or that person." I work full time and the only day I can even try to return this engine is right around the 30 day mark. Even though Ive been calling since the 3rd. Just be aware, they aren't very forth coming with all the information from the get go.
Terrible place. Specifically told us they had the parts we needed and could only hold till Friday. So we had to come in Friday instead of Saturday. We took half-day off work. They texted us pictures. Everything was settled and we drove 2 hours to get there. The hours online and on their door said open Friday till 5pm and no one was there when we got there at 4pm. Very frustrating! If you're taking a special day off at least communicate that instead of asking us to come and you weren't even there.

horrible service, customer service sucks and they are a scam. both engines they sent didn’t work leaving me with a “non-refundable” 2500$ labor bill that they won’t help with even though they gave me bad engines 2 times… also lied about engine mileage according to my mechanic.
I bought an engine from them, and it was completely crap. It was knocking really bad and leaking oil around the exhaust manifold. So I traded it in with another engine from them, and cylinder four had no compression on the new one. Do not buy from butler recycling, they sell absolute crap.
they offered to refund me for the engine, but wouldn’t do anything about labor. I paid about $2500 on labor to take out and put in new engines since there were two.
My first time using Butler Recycling and I am pleased! I was in search of a part for my 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander and I contacted Butler Recycling and Ms. Vanessa helped me out! Had no idea it was there but I sure am glad it was! They have a wide variety of vehicles for parts. Staff was super friendly and showed all options that they had not just the best. Highly recommend!
Very solid experience. Was in need of a part badly and got it with in 1hr of a phone call. Shout out to Keshia for handling the paperwork and compatibility checking, and Andre in the field for pulling the part and assisting with quick install.
