Unprofessional. Youd think in a world where they hold LIKES highly companies would move accordingly. I guess they can afford NOT to care.

These people screw you over. Take your scrap metal anywhere but here. I took 1200 pounds for commercial grade cast aluminum and got $78.00 / 6.5 cents per pound!! The going rate is 50 cents per pound. Complete RIP OFF!!

I have been recycling metals here for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's quite an operation to see what they do to turn scrap into usable metals. Every time I go I feel like I'm doing my small part to reduce waste and to help our environment.

My first time coming to recycle metal and would recommend anyone going for the first time or does this type of thing on a regularly basis to come to this location to do business and I would ask for Robert in the front. He is very professional, knowledgeable and was very patient with my 1 million questions and answered them all! Definitely would come back to him.

Prefer the location down in Atlanta. Guy told me my #1 copper wire was gonna be like a buck sixty a lb which is crazy. Pressed him on it and whaddya know it was actually 2.50. Didn't like that. Kind of busted my balls about separating double insulated #1 as well so I just kept that and will bring it elsewhere

I like going here, but be prudent and confirm that your materials are classified correctly. Today at non-ferrous the nice attendant was about to dump my painted yellow brass into aluminum old sheet when I pointed out the discrepancy. He did grind the brass and confirm that I was right, but he forgot to change it on the ticket. I assumed he would correct it on his computer and I did not check my ticket until later and realized I was paid about $14 less than I should gave. I'll return but will be more careful next time.

I don't know how they do it but they are not the most honest when it comes to weighing copper, there is always a representative difference in terms of what you carry and what they weigh. I would not recommend this site to exchange copper since honesty always has to come before everything.

Worst place to load due to poor communication on the premises and they overload the trucks with no regard to safety to the driver or others on the road

Place is very busy. I hope I can get in and out quickly. First time at this location.

A little confusing about where to go when you enter the yard but everyone was very nice and helpful. Once you understand the procedure, it seemed to be a very efficient operation.

Awesome place to scrap metal, very clean for a place like this. They do get pretty busy but the staff here are nonstop and get you in and out at a pretty decent rate. Scale team are very nice to me and my wife and always helpful. The people outside are very helpful as well. Totally recommend this place!

Confirm with as many people as you can before bringing your car here. Was told with full confidence they could buy my car and wasn’t told until the tow truck was there with it that they could not.

Awesome recycling business. Nice employees. Hard working employees. Very organized. I find it interesting to watch all the big claws grab the metal to move stuff around. I could watch it all day. Hard to explain how neat it is to watch how organized this operation runs. You have to see it to understand.

They're busy so front office seems a bit hectic, but the staff on the yard itself are great and help with requests or just moving things along. Good rates too!

Great group of people, first time to a place like this and thanks to these guys I will be returning again. Very helpful in all angles!

Great staff and very helpful. I go about 6 times per year but it seems the price goes down each time I go but never goes up even 1 cent, seems weird.. Not sure how much of that is their pricing and how much is the market pricing.

Was a very pleasant experience. Very very helpful people here from the scale to the loader. All very professional and courteous. Would definitely come back. While I'm sure some do wait out is to be expected in the scrap metal recycling business. Seen a few waiting to dump their scrap loads but I was there to load scrap circuit boards.

Horrible communication with customers. Lied straight to me more than once. I'd look elsewhere for your metal needs.

Horrible place called to verify that they would except a price of equipment before going and drove a hour for them to be very rude and every way they could and then turn me away after all was said and done the worst recycling center I have ever been to in my life would give a zero if possible take your stuff else where

Great prices and staff. I've tried several of the others in the area but this yard is ways the most professional. They are doing it right!

I have been going to the guys here on Amwiler Rd for few years now, I don't have a big commercial account, just a guy who does some scrap on the side. They use to be really good about getting people in and out rather quickly. But now that they have changed their processing system, be prepared to wait a while! I am not sure of all the locations, but the one on Amwiler Rd has gotten VERY slow. It takes over 30 minutes just to get on the main scale. What should be a 20-30 minute delivery (like it use to be) now takes over an hour!! Overall the attitude of the staff is not that friendly. The only reason I keep going there is for convenience, but seriously thinking of taking my business elsewhere.

Great group of people at this location. The people here are honest and work hard to get trucks in and out and you can get paid immediately.

All five stars, the only thing negative I have to say is the wait was LONG, but, it is not like it was a few years ago because .... scrap yards (not Newell) were not doing due diligence and knowingly accepting stolen property including copper wire and A/C units. So, the STATE has everyone fill out forms out the ear, you have to be registered, they have to check VIN numbers, if you have a suspicious load, they have to report it to the state, copy of your license, they have to pay by CHECK and not cash, etc. To the people complaining about $0.03 per hundred, did you know the spot price is $0.09 per hundred (actually sells by the 10 ton unit). Why? Depressed world wide economy and China that buys our debt (look up Deut 28:12 some time) no longer needs it and is moving away from the US dollar as an exchange and going for the ruble with Russia and for oil. That and stocking up on gold. Yea, I would like $0.12 like a few years ago, but, scrap spot was $.50, gold was well over $1800 oz and silver tipped out over $45 an oz (go check out KITCO) and gas was close to $4 per gallon after Katrina. Then they have to pay the bill for an employee that did an insane thing, even after his training, and blew himself up and to death with a gas tank. I think that is what closed Lawerenceville? Guess why they no longer take any gas tank no matter how many holes are drilled in it? $0.03 per 100# is fair when scrap spot pays $0.09. On that slim profit margin, they keep everyone employed so they have houses, cars, and can send kids to school clothed and fed,, conform to all those STATE regulations under threat of penalty, conform all those EPA water and air regs, and then take my useless scrap and junk cars I cut up to fit into my converted boat trailer and give me some gas money -INSTEAD- of me paying someone to take it away. Where is the down side ??? BTW: Yea, the guys speak Spanish and the English is not that well for some, I (ghost white) got treated better then I do at fast food places with white people that speak perfect English, if they are not too bored to help you. My Yankee accent isn't the stasis thing to comprehend, so, I can't complain. I have been to scrap yards where I couldn't even fit my whole van and small trailer on the scales and had to back up and turn to make the turn to get off the scales. They had no where to park and had to park outside the yard where I couldn't see my 4x4 and trailer. So, to sum it up, the wait is long, but, it is not their fault because of the extreme amount of paperwork and being forced to pay by check. The scrap price is reasonable, especially considering the current market where there is a glut of scrap steel. The people were nice and helped me even though I did ask a few stupid questions, easy parking, clean lot, and they took my worthless scrap and I got enough to cover my gas, No down side, :-)

I called before I loaded my scrap metal on my truck and was given the ridiculous price of .03 a hundred. The stuff was in my way so I took it out there anyways. When I arrived there was no line but I still had to wait quite awhile to get help with an old car body unloaded. The employee said the machine that he needed was broke, again. I finally got off loaded and pulled back up to the scale to get my check and when they finally came out the amount was very low. I was in a hurry by that time and didn't do the math or notice what they paid until a couple days later. It wasn't the amount I had been told on the phone so I called back and asked about the low price. They said the price had never been that low! Go figure.

Newell fails to suck. They were helpful and paid some good pocket. Each person in each department I had occasion to work with acted with a smile and went the extra yard. My Asus TF700T sucks, another story for another day. I suppose Android is not so hot either; Newell was ok though.
