Recently discovered Handyman Salvage and I'm so glad I did. My only regret is I didn't find them sooner. Incredible selection of so many items at extremely fair prices. The staff is great. My daughter & I worked with Britney Williams and she could not have been more knowledgeable and helpful. I plan on checking with them before going to the big box stores going forward.
I called about items we saw on Facebook so we drove over 1 hour from Rome. When we arrived I noticed that the items we call about were not as advertised. The only person that would help was the guy at the register. This place is a mess, guys on their cellphone hiding behind stuff, riding around on forklifts and one guy riding a flat dolly like a skateboard in the back. This place want top $$ for junkie mismatched materials. They tried to sell me fake plastic stones as exterior stack stone. What a mess don't waste your time with this place.
Went in for one item left with a truck load! Great customer service from the time you walk in the door to the time you’re loaded and pulling out. Thanks! We’ll be back for sure.

Just wanna say that it’s my pleasure to drive the half hour to your store — and really, it’s not so much about the bargains, which are real.
It’s about the experience. The vibe. I freakin’ love that you guys offer big box prices and yet are the opposite of the corporate vibe.
One of your dudes commented about my tee shirt. The exchange felt human, not corporate, if you get me. It was a natural-feeling interaction. Him and me, we may disagree about a dozen topics—but none of that mattered. We were just two dudes passing in a store on a Friday.
And that’s the point— the vibe you guys have feels so low-key and “local” as to naturally put off old school vibes.

We ordered cabinets from these folks and I'd recommend to anyone reading to not do that. Display cabinets were all hard wood faces, when we got our actual cabinets, the middle style was soft pine.....when asked about it, they said they use a variety of wood on the faces. Really? Soft pine on a cabinet face, some with mold spots, not even sanded down, just straight off the shelf, and drawers...one ding and a dent for life as well as a swelling fitment problem. We will be taking these apart and replacing the junk-pile wood they put in them.
Although friendly, for a few hundred more we could have had much better cabinets.
As a liquidation place, besides a few things we picked up, most others were flat out retail at any big box.
if i could give zero stars i would. Rude! all the workers don't know anything not prices not sizes. i came for one of their ads 3$. Rudest lady tells me "its not 3$ like the post i need to open the ad & actually read it i will see it says 3.99$" so i open it to show her it says 2.99$ and she walks away never to be seen again. if you like people without any knowledgeand are very rude this is your place. mind you we came out of town for this horrible experience.

I went to look at some flooring & the ladies up front couldn't help me because they were too busy on their smartphones. Pointed me in the direction to look.The 2 helpers in the back were having a smoke break looking at their phones as well & couldn't be bothered to help either. Just acted like I wasn't even there. I try to support local businesses but I won't be going back here again anytime soon.
****Buyer Beware*** Went to buy cabinets and Josh said that it would take 8 weeks on Unfinished cabinets….He said that he had finished cabinets…They were in the warehouse and looked dirty. We thought we could clean them up so we purchased them…Josh and a coworker loaded them up and when I got home to unload them I discovered they were more than dirty..They were poor in quality and damaged..I immediately took them back..Josh told that they have a non refund policy….He said everything is as is..This was not mentioned at the time of purchase…The no return policy is not mentioned at the time of purchase..they do have a sign which is attached to the ceiling, how many people look up. Also it is mentioned in fine print on the receipt. It makes sense to have a no return policy on salvage products however the cabinets are a product that they produce. A product that is very low quality…This is a lesson learned not do do business with a deceptive company...
Ive known most this family well over 30+ yrs. I bought from them when they were in Jasper building materials, And Ive also bought whole living room sets as well. Some the most respectful people I know in building industry, and always stay competitive or cheaper than most places.

I've purchased lumber, doors, windows, hardware, plumbing supplies, insulation, tile & grout, and custom cabinets for a complete kitchen renovation. I keep coming back!
They sell vanities that have tops that do not fit! Was told when I purchased the vanity and top that it was 60 inches. It actually measured 61 therefore not fitting into a 60 inch space. Called to try and resolve and they were very ugly about it. Never ever will I do business with this company again!
Service was excellent and the prices were great! I was in dire need of some windows and it was going to be 18 to 22 weeks at the big box store. Handyman just happen to have what I need for half the price.
This place has pretty much anything you need if building our remodeling your home. Just be prepared to search thru the indoor and outdoor areas. They have roofing material, lumber (sizes you don't easily find at the big box stores), cabinets, tile counter tops, hardware, sinks, doors, windows, tubs, showers and much more! The ladies at the front desk were very knowledgeable and willing to help. They also load big items for you.
These people are so friendly and go out of their way to help you. People just don't care anymore, but you leave this place feeling like they cared about helping you and appreciated your business. It's a great store!
I bought 38 sheets of plywood and paneling .Service was great .When we got to the sight to unload 1 of the bead board paneling had a 1 inch by 3 inch hole in the width side edge about 18 inches from the length.I am not sure I can spare this but I will see if I can use it near an electric outlet .If not I will be returning it for a sheet that's doesn't have a hole in it .Other than that I and completely satisfied with the price ,product and service
They have always taken great care of me! I do have a bed on order right now that is taking FOREVER, but I buy all my furniture from here and I refer everyone I can.
We drove 2.5 hours to come to this store for an alll in one bathtub surround! Best price I've found anywhere! We also found insulation at an awesome price! It is awesome! We will definitely be making a trip back! Josh was super helpful and everyone there was so friendly! We couldn't have had a better experience!!!
Great products at great prices! Bought counter tops and going Back for some cabinets and other things I need. The more you look around the more you see!
Got some great deals on some metal roofing. Be prepared to have to find your own stuff and load mostly yourself. But if you take your time you can find some bargain.
Very good price. The women who showed us around the store and helped us was more worried about her phone then answering our question. Didn't get half our stuff right now they don't want to take it back
The building materials section is much like other suppliers but the furniture section have some very unique pieces and very attractive prices. We bought our building material that we needed for the day but we will definitely be coming back for furniture
Went there thinking this place would keep me busy looking around at all their odd furniture I see posted online. When I got tbere.. it was extremely nasty and looked like a small ace hardware that a tornado had blown through. Found 2 or 3 pieces of furniture only and the rest was miscellaneous junk. Don't waste your drive!!
