Pretty young lady entering has no customer service ethic . She’s very rude so young an pretty guess job isn’t for her didn’t look happy @ all even on worst days smile an you don’t like your job it’s customer service sweetie need to be more polite other then that quick in and out . This is actually the best recycling centers in Clayton county. Been going there for years never had an issue always paid Fair recommend them every chance I get.
2/2023- still the best staff and service, always fast and correct on cash outs, exactly the way it should be, great facility all around.
The staff at SA recycling will really really helpful. Was able to get rid of some scrap metal that I had from my car easily and quickly. Went into the front office. The lady there sent someone out to help me with whether or not the item I wanted to scrap was something that they could take. A man came out and brought my scrap metal back to the scale for me and everything. Just be mindful they do not give out cash they either do a debit card or a check.
Friendly staff but very unorganized and no one seemed to know where to go or what to do, and the amount of mud, it was just different in price and assistance from other places that I've gone to before. I don't see how the 4+ stars is accurate or up to date.
I had visited this place about 4 or 5 years ago under the previous management. It was very disorganized and trashy then. Under the new management SA Recycling has cleaned up the place and is more efficient. A very good overall experience.
SA Recycling is hands down the best, scrap yard I have ever been to. Customer service was excellent, the process was simple and quick. I will definitely go back again even if the other places beat their price. This is the only review I have ever posted in my life, about anything, I was that impressed.

I strongly appreciate the assistance of (all) Staffer's from my entrance point to my departure.. I was greeted with respect and helpfulness.Thumbs up for the (Black lady) at my entrance and the (Jamaican gentleman) at the Aluminum/Metal area. Also, last but NOT least the (Black lady) at the Cashier counter.
Came in 40 pounds of copper they said its 17 pounds shut them down rip people off thieves pay out was 27 dollars I had more but they showed theyre true colors right away
What a rip off! I took a universal weight machine (complete) and received $20. The scale doesn't work and you will never know your true weight going in or coming out. I went on-line when I left their yard and looked up the specs on my vehicle, they showed my vehicle weighing twice as much as it does and I off-loaded approximately 300 pounds, which was worth $20 to them. I weigh more than 300 pounds and the bars weighed more than 300 pounds, that was not including all of the other pieces of metal that made it into a fitness station were you could do multiple exercises. Significantly more than 300 pounds but that's what I was paid, then I got the language barrier when I asked about the amount received and I had other metal too! I wouldn't go back until they have the scales working an calibrated by the state because this is unfair business practice! Leave it alone.
I started scrapping metal a long time ago. Now I only do it part-time. When I started scrapping metal United Recycling was my main recycling company, a small company. Now they have grown into a larger one that lacks manners and professionalism.
They have new employees now that cheat you on metal and are short with you. The last couple times I have been at this location has been unpleasant.
Last time my girl friend took some metal the employees told her if she didn't like what they were doing she could keep her metal. Today they asked if my stainless metal was clean, I replied yes, and put it on the scale. Upon leaving I see they gave me unclean stainless, did not give me proper weights, and deducted on the metal I turned in with no explanation. There should not have been any deductions.
I now go where my business is appreciated. Amerigo Recycling on Forest Parkway. Always friendly and fare to me. A smaller place which is further away, but well worth it. They were closed today.
The check that I was given was returned. I went back to get another check from the company, took the check to there bank (Chase) and they refused to cas it.
