Called to find out if they had a battery for a nest thermostat in stock. She told me she couldn't look it up without the battery number. I'm not around the unit but I'm close to Batteries Plus where I could have picked it up. I'm not sure if it's laziness or a poor computer system that can't look something up but either way rather disappointing.
All I needed was a key cut on a key fob every lock smith including dealer ship wanted to program the key but that's not what I wanted . All I needed was the key made so after spending all morning being turned down by lock smiths, batteries plus made it happen! They were nice helpful and honestly saved me 150.00.
I tried to get a new battery, and my key fob was destroyed.
I went to get a new battery put in my car key fob, which I have done a couple of times at this location in the past few years. The price increased to about three times what I paid before, but the employee said if I paid $4 more than the base price of $18, it’s a free “lifetime replacement,” so I went with it. He replaced the battery, I paid, and then when I went to my car, it wouldn’t work (normally the car recognizes the key fob is present and you can just open the door). I went back inside; there now was a different employee at the desk, and I explained what happened, so she put a different battery in. I went back outside, and it still wouldn’t work. I tried using the buttons on the fob and it would unlock the car, but the lock button didn’t work. The car would not recognize the key fob was present, and it would not start unless I used the backup emergency process of pressing the fob to the starter. The car has a consistent alert on the screen that there is no key present. When I told her again what was happening, the employee asked if this happened a lot, and I said this had never happened before. She just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. When I got home we followed some repair videos to take it apart and see if the buttons were misaligned, but it still doesn’t work. So I paid $22 to have my key fob destroyed, and now have to pay $200 to replace it. I’m beyond disappointed.
Had my phone brought in to replace the screen. Had great signal and worked perfectly minus the broken screen. Got my phone back and no longer had signal even when connected to wifi, and my screen pops when touched. Got in touch with my carrier they said that my antenna was no longer connected and to take it back in to batteries plus for them to fix their mistakes. My wife and I contacted batteries plus they said to bring it in for them to look at it. I called them on a Monday and the tec said she will not work on it because she was alone and to bring it in another day when she feels like working on it. Contacted my carrier and had to end up getting my phone replaced and paying my deductible which I shouldn't have had to do, if my phone was fixed right the first time. Very disappointed in the neglect and horrible attitude of employees when confronted with their mistakes. Avoid this place at all cost!
Arrived at store at 3:50 Sunday afternoon. We were going to purchase 2 batteries but were told at 3:55 that they could not take cash. They had closed the cash drawer and could only take credit cards. She said we close at 4. I said I realized that, but it is 3:55, not 4.
Service has gone down hill! High prices and poor service. Very disappointed this purchase.
The battery purchased last year has died. Was put on a smart charger weekly when not in use.
Sales person of new battery said the batteries plus battery was incorrect size/amperage.
I would have given 0 stars if possible! I paid $135 for a motorcycle battery, when trying to install the battery I dropped one of the battery cable terminal nuts and couldn't retrieve it, as it fell into a tight spot under the battery compartment! I called back to the store and asked if I could somehow get a replacement, the lady that sold me the battery was terrible and didn't seem to care, she said they didn't have any spare hardware and I was just basically SOL....I'll find what I need somewhere else! Thanks for nothing!!
Wonderful prices and amazing service. Batteries plus in Athens has been my go to for battery needs in automotive and otherwise for as long as I can remember. Dominic got my battery replaced in record time.
Made appointment for battery change in 2 iPhones. Was told by store manager they had stock of correct batteries. 5 hours later they returned 2 destroyed iPhones‼ AT&T said they cut the wrong wires!
Technician handed my wife an iPhone he insisted was hers! Turns out it was not. Not real trustworthy people
I had an wonderful experience at this Batteries Plus location in Athens GA. All the staff were welcoming. Dominick provided above 5 star service. He was very helpful and knowledgeable on the products!! I ended up buying the X2 Power 1500 auto jump starter. I'm very satisfied with this product, its lightweight and super powerful!!
This location charged $20 to install their car battery. Never been charged for installation before at Batteries Plus, that's the reason I shopped there.
What a nightmare trying to buy five batteries on national account. The one girl was absolutely clueless and the other had the worse attitude. I won’t be buying from this location again. The only location I’ve ever had an issue. This was on 1/8/25
When I walked in the store 12/28/24 it smelled like weed. It wasn’t strong until the 2nd employee came from the back. Then it was overwhelming. It got stronger with every step closer he came. It makes customers have less confidence in the employees and the business.
We received great customer service from Jason today with our key fobs. At our request, he also checked our car battery, alternator and starter. He was patient, kind, and extremely helpful. We strongly recommend this store.
Great shop with helpful staff. They helped me get the correct battery for my APC BackUPS and were helping others get key-fob batteries installed. I will use again when I need something!

Sitting in the parking lot, writing this review before I drive off bc Andrea and the whole crew working today (8/23/24) just provided EXCELLENT customer service to me and all the other customers that walked in as I was there.
This was my first time needing to replace a battery for my mom’s scooter, but I will definitely be back for our lawnmower battery or anything else bc these ladies and the guy working were friendly and greeted everyone genuinely when they came in.

I went this morning to have my battery tested and left with so much more. Andrea’s knowledge and customer service skills in this male dominated field were so refreshing. She went out of her way to show my son (and me) the mechanics of my car. She was honest and thorough and went above and beyond to test more than I initially went for. This experience was priceless.
Kevin was awesome and replaced the battery in a nice G shock watch I have. He told me about the lifetime battery deal for only $4 more so I went with that! Very friendly, helpful, and I will be back. They always take care of my watches although I have had car batteries tested here too. Great place to buy batteries!
Ordered the new car battery online at a discount and scheduled an installation for an hour later. I arrived to a friendly and helpful staff. I also needed to order new keys/fobs for the car which we did easily. Hayden quickly, and expertly installed the new battery in minutes. A job well done!
This is the go-to place in Athens for all types of batteries. The store's selection is extensive, from batteries for cars to ones for watches or car key fobs. Prices are always reasonable and the staff members there make you feel welcome.
The customer service is unbelievable. I brought in a car that needed a new battery. Corrosion had built on the battery extremely thick and made it hard for the battery to be removed. An associate at Batteries Plus took so much time and effort with me to get the battery untrapped. I much appreciate how professional and courteous he was. He did me a great service and I will continue choosing Battery Plus.
Love this place! Super helpful and friendly team members. All of my off the wall bulbs- roll top desk, China cabinet, picture light- they've got it. They also do vehicle FOB's battery changes- while you wait, 5 minutes and $8, so much better than going to the dealership. We'll be back! Awesome service and prices. Highly recommend- I seldom give a 5 star rating. They've earned it!!!!
Awesome employees and awesome business! I go here regularly for batteries but recently I smashed the screen on my iPhone 6plus. Even though there were stripped out screws on the home button that has to come out to replace the screen (the screws were stripped out when it was sent to Apple or possibly from that guy in the Mall.) Anyway... The technicians at Batteries Plus were able to carefully remove the screws and replace the screen at a very reasonable price and quickly. Normally it takes about an hour I think, but this time I left it at breakfast and had it back at Lunchtime. The phone looks and operates like new! The folks at this store are always courteous and helpful, and never try to sell you anything you don't need. That is very rare these days and much appreciated! I highly recommend this store in Athens. Don't forget they do keys and fobs etc... not just batteries.
This place definitely has the absolute best selection of batteries that you'll find anywhere in town. They are a tiny bit higher priced but you are always guaranteed to find what you need which is worth a premium when you're dealing with time. When I brought in a car remote they even sprayed out the inside of the remote to make sure the battery worked as well as it could. Well done!
