I brought over 380 pounds of Type A copper and they said it was B, but then only gave me 260 on my ticket, they stole 120 of copper from me which is about $500, don’t come here unless you want them to steel from you.
Super friendly as well as super efficient unloading and weighing my load, but only $4 per 100?!! It’s almost $8 per 100 less than 30 mins down the road!! Not worth it unless you are just scrapping aluminum cans or something! Cash is nice though. Ga needs to change their stupid laws!!
I JUST TOOK ABOUT 200 POUNDS WORTH OF ALUMINUM CANS HERE AND THEY ONLY GAVE ME 45 POUNDS WORTH OF MONEY. I SAVED TWO YEARS FOR THOSE PENS. I HAD A WHOLE BAG THAT WAS CRUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN FLAT. YOU’RE NOT GONNA TELL ME THAT THAT WAS 45 POUNDS I WILL BE FILING A POLICE REPORT.
I’ve never been talked & treated like the employee did at this business today! They claim they a Christian company! I’m here to tell you that’s further than the truth! They went as far to hang up on me! I would NOT do business with these people! You can drive 10 mins to another recycling center!
I really don’t even want to give 1 star. They are giving people 1CENT PER POUND!!!!! I CENT!! That’s ridiculous they are rude and self centered and are not helping anyone but themselves . This is very sad. IF YOU CAN GO ELSEWHERE PEOPLE THEN DO . Cause they are only taking money from you no giving in return
This place is a rip off , we went there today and had 1426 lbs of metal in our truck , we only got $14.26 for it . When we told them that's a rip off and to put our metal back on the truck we will go else where , they pulled over to our truck about to dump it in our truck but the other guy stopped him , then they told us that if we wanted it back on our truck we have to put it back on there ourselves. We asked other people how much they got for that much metal and they told us we was ripped off cause we should have gotten at least $99.00 . We will never go back there and we will never tell anyone else to go there. That's crazy how these people treated us there.
Of all metal recycling yards in Athens, this place should be your choice if you have scrap that can be weighed on floor scales. Copper, aluminum cans, etc. No drive-over scales but if you get higher pay here as opposed to Alewine/Ga Recycling Group. Typically 10 cents higher per pound on aluminum cans. Not to mention the scales are more accurate than competitors. And they pay in cash before you leave. No checks to worry about cashing. Helpful and friendly staff, total opposite of their competition. And hardly ever will you wait in a line like you do at others. Tried them all. Take my word for it and see for yourself. For years i overlooked this joint and I regret it after seeing the light, so-to-speak.
This place is pretty good for any large amount of aluminum you have, but they do not take plastic glass or small amounts of aluminum. This business is not meant for household recycling.
I do not know what happened but I do know the 295 pounds should bring in more than $5. If you wanna get ripped off for and and go here. I will find a better place to haul to.
I use this recycle center about every 3 months for aluminum cans, the staff is great, friendly and very helpful and considerate of your vehicle. Convenient location for me so the loss I get is better than the extra time and gas to get to another scrap yard. The yard is very clean, as they clean as they go! All around great experience!
Everyone there was really nice and helpful. Their prices paid for scrap metal was higher than the other local scrap yard today. The men that helped me unload my scrap showed extra care with my vehicle, which I appreciated.
