We loved the historic vibe, atmosphere and staff. The staff was so hospitable. Very friendly, helpful And pleasant. Loved out treehouse getaway!!! Will definitely come back! The zip lining and guides were very good as well as the horse backing!!

Great place We went Ziplining and stayed over night at the motel.. Ziplining was fun only problem was the young guides, some off them didn't really have it all together.. didn't make you feel safe. The motel was a little bit run down. But comfortable. The free breakfast was great and they were very accommodating to any dietary restrictions. Over all we had a good time and will tell our friends and family to go and check it out. And we did appreciate the free pictures that was taken during the Ziplining. Making memories forever

We visited with kids and had a wonderful time. The Crazy Squirrel Adventure course was awesome, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. It's probably best for kids ages 5 and up, and if you have teens or adults, there is a TON of ropes course and ziplining to do. They hold the Guinness record for multiple things like tallest rock wall and longest zipline canopy. Highly recommend, especially for a day trip from Atlanta. A great getaway that is still super convenient and short drive from the city.

Our group of 4 did levels 1, 2, and 3 on the zip lining tour! We had a GREAT time! It was beautiful and so much fun! Our guides, Kaitlyn and JD, were very friendly and very helpful! We will definitely visit again!

We had a great time at Banning Mills. We stayed at one of the tree houses and it was great. There are a lot of fun activities to do for everyone. We had a 6 course meal for Valentine's day and it was delicious, the setting was beautiful and the service was great. We also did the ziplining and the guys were awesome. They were super friendly and made us feel at ease. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic experience. So much to do and see we felt like we were there an extra day. The treehouse room was amazing. The staff is great, always making sure you enjoy your stay. Big thanks to the guys on the zipline crew. Really made it fun.

This place is amazing! We did the extreme zip lining, the Swin car tour and the horseback riding for Activities. We had dinner and breakfast in the lodge, and we stayed in a treehouse cabin that was really cool and very comfortable. All the staff were amazing!!

Kaitlyn and Abigail were nothing short of outstanding on the Level 1 zip line tour for my son and me! The rest of the staff was just as good. Very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to coming back.

I booked the tree house cabin for my husband's birthday as well as a couple of excursions. We did zipling and horse back riding. We also did the "romantic dinner" for two. Ziplining was fun and my instructors were good! I'd come back to that. The dinner was okay. There were 4 courses, the appetizer was really good to me but not that great to my husband. The salad looked very dry like it came straight out of a bag and was not washed at all. The dinner was pretty good, we had the salmon meal and it came with mashed potatoes and string beans. For dessert we both had the cheesecake that was also pretty good. Our room was cool because I've never stayed in a tree house but sadly it was not clean! There were pee stains on the bathroom floor. You could tell that it hadn't been moped or swept which was disgusting. The towels were old and raggedy, I wouldn't dare have used them to dry my hands let alone wash and dry my body with them! There was an old beer cap and dirt in the corner of the room so I knew they hadn't cleaned. The hot water was coming out white. When I told the night manager she told me to just run the cold water for 20 minutes and it should be okay, the white water was just minerals and it was ok. I guarantee if I were a white customer it wouldn't have been brushed off like it was nothing. Horseback riding was the scariest thing! The trail was so scary going up and down hills with one of the horses that looked like his legs were buckling going down hill. At one point we were on the side of a cliff and I've never experienced a trail like this riding a horse. All in all I would only go back to zipline. The room wasn't clean the water was white when it should've been clear and the trail was scarier than Ziplining on horseback riding.

My kids, their friends and my husband recently did the tier 1 Crazy Squirrel Christmas experience and they had a blast! The guides did a spectacular job with teaching them the ropes and helping them when needed! The location is great! It’s far enough from civilization, but not too far. It really makes you feel like you’re in the wilderness! We will definitely be coming back for more!

My 6 year old and I did the Crazy Squirrel Christmas Tour and it was amazing! We were the only ones there that night so we got to take our time and be as silly as we wanted. We had two guides with us. Caitlin and Landon I believe. They were professional and fun! My son at one point did get scared and needed to come down. They handled the situation to my “mommy standards.” They made sure he safely got out. The Christmas lights were magical. The courses were fun! Thanks Banning!

First of let me start by saying the guides were great! We chose Banning Mills because they have so many zip lines that you could spend an extended amount of time there doing instead of these other zip line courses that after 1 to 2 hrs your done. They have many zip lines here. We did the all day rush tour supposed to be from 9am to 5pm. Got there early as mentioned, they came got us right at 9. Started on time. We did courses 1 through 4. We them needed to lunch which is included in the all day rush package. The lunch was decent. Hamburger, sweet potatoe fries, a salad, and a pretty good dessert. After lunch we did another course, 2 springs which we enjoyed. We chose not to do the Falcon. It didn't take till 5, so felt like we were missing some but it was OK we did a bunch of zip lines. Now my daughter thought the course itself was a bit "sketch"! Lol. There was some rotten wood and tiny platforms at the top that is really pushing it to fit that many people on and still be stable. The wood and wire bridges all too many have pieces of wood (your steps) knocked out of place and really needs someone going over all of them adjusting them so you don't have to take such a large step to get to the next board. Then there's one bridge on the 2 springs course that is leaning to the left big time making it a difficult task. The metal spiral stair cases going up some to some of the platforms seem flimsy. Overall the zip lines themselves seemed well maintained, just not the surrounding structures (platforms), bridge steps, and regular stringer steps. We did have a great time though, it's expensive, almost 300 dollars a person and it really isn't anywhere near 8 hrs long. We didn't like the manual braking that allot of places have gotten away with and went to automatic braking systems. The safety system of connecting yourself in the beginning of the course and not being able to come off the safety system until the course finishes was really good! One other suggestion is to make a less extreme line that you lay down on so you don't have to jump right onto the falcon which is pretty extreme. Would have liked to have done it, just have never done one you lay on your stomach for and starting on the extreme falcon was not for us.

This place is hidden gem. I highly recommend it. The treehouses are really nice and very comfy and the entirety property is simply amazing, there are all sorts of easy and fun trials, beautiful bridges including a super long and fun suspended bridges and plenty to do And It's less than 1 hour drive from Atlanta! I went with my family including a 2 and 4 years old and we all had a blast. The stuff is so helpful. And most importantly the zip line options are all what you can hope for. All levels are wonderful

We stayed the night in the basic economy lodge room and booked the level 4 zip line adventure for the next day. The zip lines were a lot of fun, but not without a good amount of hiking and obstacles to get to the good ones. We got Brandon and Megan as our tour guides, they did an awesome job and made our adventure fun and exciting! I would definitely recommend.

Where do I begin? What an amazing and incredible experience at Historic Banning Mills - I have nothing but positive comments regarding my experience. The lodging was cozy and clean. The food was absolutely phenomenal and never boring. Some of the best desserts that I've ever had were here (Basque cheesecake, anyone?). I enjoyed and looked forward to every meal here. The staff (shout-outs to Claire, Sienna, Kierstan, Kaitlyn, Andrew, and Christy) were top-notch and extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I actually looked forward to seeing the staff, especially Claire and Sienna - they made this stay so very memorable for me. I have never experienced such warmth, kindness, and helpfulness from retreat staff. I was very impressed with them and everyone else that I mentioned. There are unlimited activities that you can take advantage of including (but not limited to): ziplines, exploring the beautiful nature, mini golf, ropes courses, suspension bridges, Swincars, and many more. I also made 2 friends while I was there, Bee Bee and Buster (resident kitty cats). If you're thinking about staying here, don't think any further - just do it. I was so happy with my stay and can't wait to come back. Thank you to Historic Banning Mills for becoming a special and cherished place for me!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the best time on our family zipline adventure! It was exciting, a little bit of an adrenaline rush, and so much fun from start to finish. The guides were awesome — super friendly, funny, and made everyone feel safe and relaxed. You could tell they really love what they do. Each zipline had amazing views, and we were all smiling (and maybe screaming a little!) the whole way through. It was such a great mix of thrill and family fun — something we’ll definitely remember for a long time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun outdoor experience!

The zipline course is awesome. We did level 2 which is good for people who want more than the first level but not too scary like the 4th level. The tour guides make you feel very comfortable and are great at explaining things. And they are full of one liners to help lighten the mood. :) 10/10 recommend Banning Mills and the staff

Our stay in a treehouse guest room was such a memorable experience! We loved every minute. The views from our balcony were so relaxing. Our dinner at the lodge was great. Food & service was wonderful. Everyone treated us so well and were so helpful. I would love to return for a longer stay.

It was a good experience. My daughter went for her 23rd birthday. We all got the Rush pass. We did All 4 zip lining phases, my husband and son got fall off a very high building. We had incredible lunch Greece style with a huge piece of cake. We had a great time and a great work out! It had beautiful sight seeing places. We loved it and had a blast! We only went for a day! , and our tour guide Brandon was great knowledgeable and friendly, with a take charge attitude made sure everything went smooth. We will surely go again!

Absolutely love historic Banning Mills. The zip lines are so scenic, so fast, so nice it’s sooooo much to do here. The eco spider cars are fast and nice as well. Oh my, I won’t even talk about the food, whewww, it was an absolutely top tier. The breakfast. We slept in the treehouse and it was so nice how they allow you to have quality time with your loved ones; it was so fun. I would definitely go back. I also tried the Moonlight Tour where you zip line at night, and man, what a night that was, such an adrenaline rush and thrill. I love the workers; they are very knowledgeable, friendly, and definitely put safety first. This will definitely be on top of my list to visit once or twice a year.

This was the 3rd year we hosted a ladies retreat at Banning Mills, with around 70 guests. Christy is phenomenal to work with on all the details! Everyone raved about the helpful and enthusiastic service we received from the team at Banning Mills. We appreciate the rustic and relaxed accommodations, as well as the extra activities for our Saturday afternoon free time. Ladies were able to choose horseback riding, ziplining, or indoor activities that we offered as part of our retreat, such as bible journaling and "Not-So-Bored" games. The meeting space was ample for our group size, and the meals were delicious. Highly recommended!

Had the most amazing time with (hope I get the names right) Gary, Makenzie, Jenson and Keaton. They gave us the best experience on the zip lines and bridges. No rushing or any negative vibes. They made it the most fun we've had in years. We will definitely be back. We might even rent a room at the lodge next time. The whole place was great.

I booked the moonlight Zipline tour for my Birthday. It was more than I imagined! It was extremely scary at first but definitely worth it! The guides explained the rules & procedures very well. Everyone was extremely patient & helpful. I wish there was a tad bit more lighting, maybe along the bridges we crossed or even wrapped around the trees just to be able to have a little more light. Other than that an amazing experience! Definitely will be back during the day to enjoy the scenery!

I went ziplining with a group of friends over the weekend, and I can confidently say this is the BEST place to go! We chose the Level 3 package, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Booking was super easy, everyone in our group completed their waivers online, and I could manage the reservation through a simple link. They also sent us all the details we needed ahead of time, which made everything so smooth. When we arrived, the staff were so kind and helpful. We were given clear instructions, and our tour guides, Ben, Brandon, and Katelyn, truly made the experience unforgettable! They were hilarious, encouraging, and made everyone feel safe. We completed Levels 1, 2, and 3. Level 1 was a great warm-up, and Levels 2 and 3 offered stunning views of the beautiful autumn colors . On Level 3, we zipped right past a gorgeous creek surrounded by colorful trees which was absolutely breathtaking! Overall, my group had an amazing time and an unforgettable experience. I can’t recommend Historic Banning Mills enough and will DEFINITELY be coming back!

I wish I’d known about this place years ago! I’ve lived in Atlanta for 35 years and had no idea it was only about an hour and a half from Sandy Springs.||We did Level 2 (out of 4), which lasted around three hours — and it was incredible. Each level takes longer and adds more adventure.||After zip-lining, we discovered there’s so much more to do: a pool, volleyball court, and hiking trails we didn’t even have the energy left to try. The treehouse rooms looked amazing from other guests’ photos — next time, we’re staying overnight for sure.||It was Brad’s birthday, so we booked dinner. The filet mignon was perfect, and the staff even came over to sing happy birthday — they knew his name from the waiver!||Every staff member we met, from check-in to the zip-line guides to the restaurant team, was genuinely kind and helpful.||We’ll be back soon for a hike and the fall leaves. If you’ve ever wanted to zip-line, this is the place. You don’t need to go anywhere else!

I took my boyfriend to Banning Mills for his birthday and we had a fabulous time. We stayed two nights and loved our cabin that overlooked the creek. We had the absolute best dinner in the lodge and we enjoyed our two breakfasts there as well. We went on the spider car tour and our guide was fabulous and the car was so much fun. We plan to bring family back this fall to rent the family cabin because we had so much fun. Loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Every time my husband and I go out to Banning we always have a wonderful time. All the staff in the office and guides on our adventures are very helpful, nice, knowledgeable. I highly recommend all the adventures they have. The restaurant food is also excellent. I have had breakfast and dinner they are definitely 5 star. We have spent the night twice and the cabins quiet and cozy. “Who knew we have such a jewel in our backyard” we go back in October for a two day rush and overnight stay can’t wait.
