I HIGHLY recommend Surplus and Salvage Sales to anyone needing building supplies of any kind. Their staff is more accommodating than any place of business I have ever visited. Additionally, the materials I purchased there are of the utmost quality and very reasonably priced.
Great place to get your supplies, whether you are a contractor or a do it yourself kind of person. The staff will assist you with whatever your needs are. The prices are GREAT as well.
Great place that we stumbled upon! Wonderful selection of lumber and anything else you might need for projects around the house. They load all the lumber for you!!! I'll never go to the big box stores for lumber again.

I would give them a better review but who ever the lady is that answered the phone needs to learn some phone etiquette. Unbelievable how rude she is every time I call she is just the rudest shortest most miserable person I've ever talked to. I told her thank you for everything and that I appreciated her help and she just hangs up, I call back to ask her questions and she gets an attitude and talks to me like I'm ignorant. It's unreal how rude she is, she has no business answering phones for her business if she isn't going to be personable and reasonable. They may have the best prices and a good product but I would almost rather spend my money somewhere else just to avoid dealing with the poor treatment.

Great place to get a pole barn. I have purchased two from them. Everything needed was included in the price. The first barn, I purchased on the phone and paid by phone. I had an installer pick up the barn and install it. The second one, I purchased and paid on the phone and then picked up myself. Both times the barn kit had everything we needed to install.
Have gone through them multiple times for building supplies and materials for many jobs, always good to great customer service. Much more friendly in person than over the phone, that's my only complaint. Very happy with prices and product.
The people are nice and super helpful. The wood is reasonably priced; that is, it's the cheapest around. Can't speak to the affordability of their other goods. Haven't bought anything else there yet.
If requested, they'll give you a printed copy of their lumber prices (which change with the market). Again, very helpful.

Excellent service, product and price. I've purchased large quantities of metal roofing from S&S on several occasions and have always been satisfied. Will definitely continue to purchase from them.
These folks are very helpful and knowledgeable. Materials are of good quality and the price is comprable to big box stores. They are closed on Thursdays and Sundays though and close early on Saturday so just be prepared for that and you will have a great experience with them.
We've been to the Surplus & Salvage for carpet, lumber and hardware on 3-4 occasions. Always good service. This week we picked up supplies for a chicken pen and house. Clifford helped us, and gave us excellent and friendly service. Highly recommended!!
