Obnoxiously rude, cussing employees in the back of this business. I will take my scrap metal to the dump and pay to get rid of it instead of dealing with these extremely rude people. The ladies in the office have always been good. But the 2 men in the back are just ruining this business. If you hate your job that much that you have to cuss at your customers, you should find a new business that you don't have to deal with a single customer or retire...
Last year they hit my brand new ram 1500 with a skid steer and refused to pay for the damage. I let it slide because I’m friends with a lot of their family friends. They never once contacted me or even tried to make it right. They’re lucky they did it to me and not someone else because if I would have called 911 and got John Morgan on the phone they would have been out significantly. That’s my story that’s the reputation this family wants left when they’re gone. I’m out 1200 dollars I’ll eat that just to maintain my reputation of earning everything the right way. I’m very disappointed at how this was handled. If you have a nice vehicle STAY AWAY they will damage it and refuse to give any insurance information. She told me you know “Joey get him to fix it” but never once offered to pay for her employees mistake and hasn’t even tried to reach out to make it right. I too am a business owner when I do wrong I make it right and always will. I no longer scrap metal I throw it in the trash the pennies it brings isn’t worth the experience.
Very unprofessional rude staff in the back (drunks) that expect you to be a mind reader ,stand around talking while you wait or playing with machines vrs doing their job
This place is a nightmare. Its always a mess and no one working there seems like they even want to be there. It’s almost impossible to leave there satisfied. The only plus is the pretty lady that hands you the cash while ripping you off.
I’ve been going to this place on and off for 20 years but the last couple I’ve tried to do it as a job so I started monitor my loads where as before I didn’t…WATCH your tare weight had the same truck for 5 years and the tare weight is always different and I’m the only one in it 90% of the time… I’ve had extruded aluminum they put it as aluminum clip etc. KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE ask what they say it is before you put it on the scale…Don’t go past the stop sign which is either covered by overgrowth or upside down or you’ll get screamed at he may even chase you with his front end loader back to the stop sign then have you wait 20 minutes The guy they have in the back to direct you is a stand up guy will help you but he’s hardly there wonder why? If you’d like I have plenty of receipts some from the same day where you can see what I’m talking about the tare weight plus they have no read out at either scale so it’s whatever they want it to be
Rude ppl .n pay is always short...very rude ...and weight is never right .guy on loader is beyond rude him n his chic .think they can just take ppls money ...nitemare to get in an out nails in tire .i would never ever go there n i tell everyone not to go unless they like bein ripped off .js.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. My 3rd time coming to this scrap yard they decided to rip me off on my copper. I had a few pounds of dirty copper but the rest was clean. They decided to weigh all my copper as dirty copper for 1¢ a pound and then quickly removed everything off the scale so that I could not point it out. I knew they were up to something when they walked over and looked into my truck bed. Then when I brought it up to them they were very rude and said there was nothing they can do because the already removed everything off the scale. They robbed me of $70.95 and I will not ever return.
All us locals know...Best Family Run business and Great Service...Always have been more than fair on thier Payouts...Very Trustable...Very Helpful...Been coming here for years..And Will Always come here...
Went today and like always great service like always I went again today on September 23rd and they were very nice to me I never have one single problem when I go there they are wonderful so I don't know why everyone's giving them bad reviews because I go there all the time that's the only place I go so keep up the good work Holly Hill Salvage
Don't go here!!!!! We were cursed at, and a guy called my friends mom a "female dog". He came after us with a tractor, our first time visiting. He made me reverse my truck across a Cliff on an enter only ramp. The guys on something. Luckily, we made it out alive, and we should have called the police. Just wanted to get rid of our metal which he didn't even look at it....... very unsafe operation. Do not make the same mistake. Stay away from them. For my sake don't support there business.
Love this place... In w/ metal scrap and out with cash in under 5 minutes plus they consistantly offer a bit more than other recyclers in the Volusia Flagler area, it pays to call around if you have hundreds of pounds, and this place always pays top dollar w/ zero hassle.
Me and my husband had been going to this place a lot because the people were friendly. Than they started ripping us off, the first time they forgot to give us all our money to us so my husband went back and they made good on it. Than it happen a second time they forgot to give us our money for our cooper. So if i were you i would not go to this place. We decided to go to another place instead.
Good people and great prices! I just started scrapping and the staff is very knowledgable and friendly. The staff is patient and they help me unload and weigh my loads every visit. When I have a question, they answer it, no BS. As far as pricing goes I feel that they live up to the signs posted at the gate BEST PRICES PAID. I've talked to a couple friends who got me into scrapping and they have all had positive experiences at Holly Hill Salvage. And when see the cashier it's always a nice fair chunk of cash and a pleasant smile. I will continue to bring all of my recyclables to Holly Hill Salvage.
Don't show your weight to you and rips you off! We took an 80gallon air compressor in and they gave us $31! I call BULLSHIT! That thing took 4 people to load and unload! Weight was 580 and price was 5.35, they rated it as tin when it was solid steel!
Best place to scrap. Very honest and helpful. Brought some copper in that was mixed up. The girl who does the buying separated it for me so I would get more money. Was impressed by how friendly the employees were. The girls in the office are really cute too!
great place to take your scrap.i have been going there for years and it is a down home type of place owned and run by locals....no corporate ceo's at this place just good people at a good place at a good price
This place is a s******* at best. The employees there don't really give a crap about customers what so ever. There's no official driving area. There's no coordination. It would be well worth your time to go someplace else. Just for the lack risk.
