What clients say about Pick Your Part - Daytona in Daytona Beach (FL)

I've only been to a few salvage yards before, but I was very impressed with this one. There was unfortunately only one Silverado that potentially had the part I needed, but the lady I spoke with knew exactly where it was, and had a list of parts that had already been sold from that vehicle. After I looked at the vehicle and discovered it didn't have the part I need, she even looked at their other locations through Florida to see if someone else had the part I needed. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, everything was very clean and well organized. I'll definitely be checking them out the next time I need any replacement parts!

I recently sold my Nissan Frontier to them, everything was smooth. They have an endless line of vehicles to choose from for parts and everyone is very friendly and want to help you. Recommend to any mechanic in Daytona

When you call for information, they tell you to drive there instead of providing answers. Customer service is poor—unless you’re selling a car, then you’re routed to someone in India. I wouldn’t recommend them. Their website doesn’t list pricing for all parts, and you have to go in person just to find out costs.

Some of their prices are ridiculous. For instance, a used rocker arm shaft assembly is $105 for a HEMI. You can get a brand new one for $68 online. Lots of their used parts are like this

Welcome to the corporate hellscape of private equity owning "junkyards".
If you need a specific part you cannot buy online, by all means, go in, pull it yourself, take it to the front and pay the going retail price for it.
Otherwise, just buy a brand new part online for $5 more then you would pay at a Pick Your Part yard.
They get an extra star because they have at least one nice staff member who treated us kindly. If you are looking for an old school experience where you get good deals for used parts, we should work together and build a time machine to go back before venture capitalist firms emerged.Dec 20, 2025 -
Places like this are just awesome. Found the part I needed for my little Hyundai and the process took less than 10 minutes. Prices are fair as well.

Cool staff, let me go in at 4:00pm with faith I could snatch a fuel pump assembly in 30 min. I made it back to the desk with minutes to spare. Well not really, they were trying to close up so I wasn't trying to take any extra time. But yea, cool staff, good prices, never got a bad part, A+.

Usually go to the Orlando location. But due to lack of my vehicle, we chose this and did not regret it.
Slightly nicer than the Orlando location with an air-conditioned entrance and so definitely would recommend very good prices for my car. But like every junkyard, Look at the date the car was posted. Obviously the pictures aren't going to look like the actual car when it's 4 months old. Mine came in 2 days ago so pretty accurateDec 06, 2025 -
I had an excellent experience. The prices were very good. Great service going in and checking out. Thank you

They had what I needed very nice people show me where to find the car first time their thing easy to find the door i needed was about a 9

They dont tell you about all the fees they have till you already pick your part. A lot of things are cheaper brand new online. Don't waste your time unless you absolutely have to.

This place is gone downhill. I went today to buy a. Valve body for my truck and after taking it out, I guess the price wasn’t too bad but the fact that they couldn’t tell me how much mileage was on the vehicle and that they were not guaranteeing it. I feel stupid for actually buying it and hoping for the best Now when you buy a motor and transmission there, they can’t tell you to mileage so I don’t know who in their right mind would buy something that they don’t know nothing about I mean yes you take chances, but mileage is a big part of it and the fact that They’re not going to guarantee a product or a part that they are selling you you kind of wonder how to in business

Changed it up a little, make of vehicles dont seem to be with each other anymore. You know all Chevy or all Fords together. They just mixed them up. Trucks here cars there. But still great parts

Super friaendly staff at check in and check out. The yard is well organized. Just be prepared with your own tools and Man Power. Most of the parts are OEM and at a super Low Price. It's a Treasure Trove of Parts. The y have a great refund policy as well. Definitely take the time to go online and see if this location in Daytona Beach had your car. Oddly they've had 2 identical models that I own, BMW and Benz Same color and features as well. We all know how much those parts can cost. $$$$ not at PYP, my replacement rear tail light out the door brand new looking $37.02. BTW there is a $3 fee to get into the yard. Good luck!

Dude, I absolutely love this place! The selection is always phenomenal and I’ve always found the part I needed when I needed it. Prices are fantastic. Very reasonable.Had an amazing interaction today with an employee named Tom. I work in customer service for a living, and that man went above and beyond to take care of me and help me find the part that I needed. Thanks Tom!

Have decent selection of vehicles, inventory is never right so dont count onbthe part being there. If you have ro drive a distance save your money. Horrible customer service . Another great (SARCASM) company that pays to make sure you cant talk to a person. Left my wallet on the counter at check in, because you get charged to go look. And ive been told twice they won't look , j jave to drive over an hour to see if its there. Ill never use or recommend LKQ again.
Sep 02, 2025 -
This place has turned into a scam. I have been coming here for 15 years. Since LKQ took over, you might as well buy your parts new. I hadn't come here in over a year because every time the price is outrageous. Pull your own parts and pay what the part is worth for a warranty?! While paying double what the part is worth to begin with. I hope everyone wakes up and boycotts this place. $85 for a 20 year old crusty throttle body, or $65 with no warranty. $90 OEM shipped to my door new through Rock Auto.

I’ve been peddling cars to this location for about two years and have always been taken care of by the Pyp team. Unfortunately due to corporate changing the prices for the car buying department, I am unable to bring in anymore vehicles due to the low priced quotes I have been receiving. I would still shop here for parts because the team at the Daytona location are the best of the best . Other than that , it looks like I’ll have to start selling cars somewhere else

Update 2025:
This location got a huge change in the past few year, they got new building (was a small pavilion) and new system that easy to find parts and stock online, new employees are friendly now, definitely best yard in area!
2022: Their pricing is some of the most expensive I've seen, and each car's accessories are billed separately (I don't have a strong goal of needing what, usually going to the junkyard just to find some meaningful collectibles) We only took 3 plastics covers, and they charged 15 bucks (usually only a few bucks in other junkyards) and they were very serious about the vehicle I took off the parts (there are so many identical cars out there, how do I remember Which accessories were taken from which car)Aug 13, 2025 -
I came to get a piece and they were able to eat them take it off the vehicle for me turned out because of my misunderstanding. They still refunded me all of my money. They are very professional polite and if you need any vehicle parts, they have a field full of cars.
Very impressed and will highly recommendAug 08, 2025 -
I don't go here a lot.....I know it's been changing a little over the last couple yrs. Seen online they had a Jeep I wanted to scavenge. The office area is a lot nicer that's for sure. The people were nice and they can look up vehicles for Ya....cross-reference parts....and even give Ya a printout tell'n Ya where the cars are Ya need. I was able to go right to the Jeep I needed and get whole punch a parts.
Very happy.Aug 03, 2025 -
The employees at the counter were so nice and kind and helpful. Made sure everyone was hydrated after coming in from the yard. It did say they would pay top dollar for a car. They offered me $700 for a 2012 hyundai genisis. Top dollar!?!? They did not ask if it ran or what it looked like. 700 is ok for a seized motor not a perfectly running/ condition car. False advertisement.

The selling a vehicle process should be pretty straightforward. I noted several times when speaking to them over the phone that it was a secondhand sale but the title holder was there with me. It really should have been straightforward, but the wrecker driver had the title signed in the wrong place. So I then had to get a ride to their location to sign an affidavit, which of course is at my expense. When speaking to people, also try not be be so grouchy. I didn't treat anyone with disrespect or with anything other than a smile. I could have gotten at least respect in return. Overall, a situation that could have been a oided multiple steps of the way, and disappointed that it didn't go smoother.

This business has a 1- 800 number call center and when I called they wouldn’t connect to the yard directly nor would they contact the yard for me. I live over a hour away and dropped a personal item when I was there and needed to know if someone may have found it. The call center refused to help and told me I would have to personally go back there to ask. Difficult to believe they have no communication in or out.

I buy parts here all the time. , maybe 5 times a month for my vehicles and to help out others vehicles , the Manager is very bad mean lady , out receipt expired on 5-20-25 ,we went there that day , even it was on Easter , they were closed on this particular Sunday , so we went next day and won’t return , lost $250.00 because she won’t budge and mean , even though she could have override but didn’t want to loose profit percentage.. ridiculous a few bucks over a customer happy ..

Super experience for selling our beater car. Online quote process was smooth & straightforward. When I went to drop car off, Logan was courteous, prompt & professional. Car was inspected within 5 min & price quoted online was the price they paid. I was all ready for junkyard haggling, but nope. Our 1st time @PYP was a great experience!
Fresh 2006 Chevy Malibu on the lot if you need parts! lol
Highly recommend.Feb 05, 2025 -
I visited this yard over the weekend. I was able to grab what I needed and missed out on some other items which was my fault. Yards organized and easy to navigate. Cell signal is great and you're able to surf to find the locations of your victims...
Good prices, friendly staff and ice cold water, that's free !!!
My replacement rear door. The tire cover wasn't part of the deal lolJun 14, 2021 -
I like this place. Dodge sold my elderly mother a van without a spare tire or jack and didn't tell her. She found out when she got a flat. Dodge told her the cheap Jack alone would cost $400. I came here and got a full size tire, two different types of jacks, tire tools, and a set of jumper cables for $66. I think that's a great deal.

Honestly Best junk yard I’ve been to!!
I have never seen a junk yard so clean and organized in my life.
Every car is nicely organized next to one another. They are all up on these nice built wheels things they made. which hold the car in the air 3 feet with wheels hanging. Which makes it very easy to work on. Every car is spaced out from eachother.
Ladies at the front desk are very nice and helpful.
Paid $23 for a truck bed liner that’s worth $300 new. What a deal !
Only thing that sucks is having to pay $3 everytime you go. Otherwise I’d be in there everyday looking at the new inventory.Sep 29, 2018
