Called and talked to the counter person about the door I was interested in. I was assured the door was in great condition with no scratches, dings or dents. When I got there he said they would take it off the car and bring it out (I told them that I would be in my way and be there in 15 minutes). It took them 45 minutes to take the door off and brought it out. The door had major scratches and multiple dings. The guy who took it off got pissed that I said this is not what was described and I didn't want the door. I understand it's a junk yard but don't lie about the condition just to get me there.
Extremely helpful did not have to wait long for thr part I needed. Thr gentleman that helped us verified the vehicle info multiple times for the correct part. Very happy!
Travis sold me a set of audi wheels claiming they were good and when i took them to the tire shop 2 of them were bent and not fixable, called the office the following morning to ask for a refund and they refused and said ill only be able to get store credit
Went to Sanford Auto salvage to purchase an oem replacement radio for my Ford Focus they had listed on Facebook marketplace. I specifically asked the representative Travis before purchasing " hey can I go hook this up in my car and if it doesn't work can I bring it back?" To which he replied of course... Since this is a one-star review you can probably guess what happens next- I paid $90 the radio, took it out to my car in the parking lot to try and hook up and discovered that my focus doesn't have the right wiring kit to hook up to this radio so I go back inside to return it 5 minutes later and the response I get is "sorry we can't do returns on electronics"... Like you literally told me 5 minutes ago I could bring it back if it doesn't work in my car! He then even tried to go out to my car and flook it up himself to prove me wrong before I guess finally understanding what I was talking about that my car doesn't have the correct wiring to plug into this radio you just sold me so I just want to return it. ", I can give you a credit that you can use anytime"... So I guess now I have a $90 store credit for a junkyard... Lol that's useful.

I found Travis on Facebook Marketplace & he brung me to this Sanford Auto Salvage Yard where they had multiple vehicles just like mine, & I was able to find all of the parts to fix the air conditioner and power steering on my Honda CR-V. I ordered one of the parts on EBay, and was told that I had to wait 2 months for shipping from China. Not anymore! I’m sending that junk right back as soon as I receive it Very friendly and courteous people. & their prices are AMAZING!!! Thank you Sanford Auto Salvage!

I’m not sure why this place shows 4.6 stars. It doesn’t doesn’t deserve not even 1. These people made us drive over 2 hours to then tell us they did not have the car shown in pictures nor the color. The doors we needed were not the doors showing in pictures they furnished or what was spoken About several times over the phone. And we were not the only ones complaining about this issue. They apparently tell you that they have exactly what you’re looking for and then it’s not the color or the correct part. This place is a scam and makes you waste your time trying to convince you to purchase what they have.

I am very impressed with these guys. I needed a specific "red dot" sway bar only found on a specific trim of RX-8. I found this junkyard through car-part where they had an affordable price. They are quick to answer. While they are pretty busy, they did pickup. Anyways, I made the 2.5 hour journey to see the RX8 and chance that it was what I needed. Turns out it was but it was buried behind several cars
These guys used a forklift and moved several cars to lift the RX-8 and retrieve the sway bar... in under 30 minutes! I have no idea how these guys do it.. but I am impressed. The whole process was pretty seamless from check in to check out(less then an hour) and I was able to inspect the part on the car before buying. I would recommend them.

Now, I’m no mechanic—far from it—so I wasn’t even sure of the exact names of the parts, but he didn’t mind. He guided me through the process, which was a huge relief. This level of service right from the start made me feel confident that I was dealing with a professional, customer-focused business.In-Person Visit:Fast forward to today, a Saturday. I called in the morning to confirm, and he told me to come on by. When I arrived, the place was busy, and understandably so, since it’s a weekend and not all the staff work on Saturdays. Despite that, the guy at the front desk was super gracious and didn’t make me feel like I was being rushed, even though he had a lot on his plate. I really appreciated that. He even had someone walk back with me to help locate the parts.A Word to the Wise:Here’s where I want to give future customers a heads-up. If you're going to be walking back into the lot (and depending on what part you need, you might), come prepared. It’s Florida, and we’ve had rain nearly every day for the past week, so the ground was muddy. If you’re like me and not expecting this, you’ll want to wear heavy-duty shoes or boots, plus pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Trust me, the mosquitoes back there are no joke—they had a field day on me! I’m pretty sure they ate more than their weight in my blood. So, be ready for that if you’re heading back there in this kind of weather. A little preparation can save you a lot of discomfort.The Parts and Prices:As for the parts themselves, the prices were more than fair. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was, especially considering the current market for used auto parts. I found what I needed, and the parts were in great condition. It’s clear that Sanford Auto Salvage takes care to ensure they’re offering quality items, not just random junk.Final Thoughts:All in all, Sanford Auto Salvage provided a fantastic experience. On the phone all sounded GOOD, but I won't believe it again. Don't forget that Ken is a junk salesman, so if he says something that sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true. I am giving 5 stars because Chris and the older gentleman were very accommodating to my needs.
