My insurance assigned this company to me to deliver my vehicle to my mechanic. I would never willingly choose this company. I was telling the driver my mechanic requested for my car to be backed in a specific way and instead of the driver explaining why that was not possible he dismissed my request 3 times with a smile on his face trying to be passive aggressive and nasty. Customer service was also passive aggressive and nasty when I called to report my complaint. She told me that the way my mechanic wanted the car to be backed up could not be done and as a mechanic he should know that. And further went on to say “well he’s a mechanic right?” A lot of comments did not need to be said. You can politely explain and resolve things without speaking to people in a condescending way. Horrible attitudes across the board! Life is already hard enough, kindness goes a long way.
The way they just responded to this post proves my point! It could have been easily explained to me so I understood by the driver but instead I had to go out of my way to call the company just to get an explanation as to why. The mechanic did not know the car was being dragged he thought it was on an elevated platform. Miscommunication happens. No one told anyone how to do their job. They just didn’t want to inconvenience the driver when he got there and have to make him turn it around. (Which he will have to do anyway) it’s not even about what was said or being told no, it’s how it was communicated and the lack thereof. This place needs serious prayer. Just based off of how they handle negative reviews alone (not just mine) says a lot about how they take accountability as a company.
Amazing service from amazing people. They don’t just give you a bill and tell you to sign off without any breakdown or explanation like other places have done before, they actually show you the problem, explain why it’s a problem, and build a plan with you to have your vehicle running safely as pocket friendly as possible without any upsells. They truly just care about people and vehicles and want to make sure every person leaves the lot safe and have the pride and integrity you see most places lack. Extremely lucky to find a place like this.
I was told my driver would be here in 90 minutes almost 2 hours ago. Now he is still 45 minutes away. So hot outside very little customer service. Very unhappy. This was today July 9th 2025. Don't recommend this company to anyone. Smh
The crew here was so helpful. My son’s Kia soul caught fire on his way home from Orlando. S&S was called out by FHP. The insurance company dropped the ball and it sat on their lot for 57 days
They reduced the bill to the cost of towing and the recovery and minimal storage and the title signed over. They answered so many questions and they were patient with us. Thank you guys for all your help.
27 is a busy and dangerous hwy - my truck was misfiring and my mechanic said “don’t drive it any further.” So there I was, stuck…unaware of what to do, who to call, and how to get home. A friend of mine gave me the phone number to S&S. Dave was literally there in less than ten minutes and he never touched my truck one time! It was actually a great learning experience- he showed me what “misfiring” was and showed me how his truck did all the work where he didn’t have to disturb my vehicle at all. Just small kindness went a long way to a girl who had a very bad day. Thank you so much Dave.
S&S Towing came in clutch after a crash. My family had already been on the roadside for over an hour due to the crash scene investigation and when I called to have a tow, S&S came fast!
The driver was professional, understanding, and explained where my car was going. The owner even eased my concern of the repair center my insurance recommended. His working knowledge with the other companies in our area was very relieving.
If you are ever in need, esp if in Polk County, Florida, S&S will treat you fair and professionally!
These guys were great. Blew a power steering line and needed a tow for my pro-touring 81 Camaro. With almost $100k in this car, not just anyone is gonna touch it. They handled it with incredible respect and got me home safe and sound.

Predatory towing at its finest. Living in my community for the past year and I hardly ever see these guys during the day let alone around 11am.. if anything tow companies usually prowl at night. Take a look at their sarcastic replies to negative reviews which proves their lack of empathy, but hey you know they sure are happy for those quick cash grabs (which we all know a cash payment is super intentional). They towed my dads rental in which the bottom bumper where the latch is located they removed a piece of this and as my father requested information to this so he is not liable for a missing piece of the car the very nasty lady in the office said that while they take photos of every vehicle before it’s towed they cannot render these photos to us surely you are competent enough to know how to send an email? Or is it that you are predatory towers as I’ve stated and have no interest in conducting business professionally and at that with integrity?? The lady passively tells us over the phone that “she can try to send us these pictures” again WHAT is so difficult to send a picture? Or our option is to contact CDD. I mean at this point… you’re only making yourselves look worse, so yes I’ve had my fair share of experiences with predatory towers and S&S is among the rest at being slimey business owners. So be careful who you choose! I mean really towing companies should only be used for emergencies not stealing money from people 7 days a week. I look forward to the nasty reply that awaits my review since you all have nothing better to do. But remember I’m entitled to leave this here after our experience
I was stranded today when the linkage cable on my car broke. I was given the number to call S&S Towing for help. The receptionist was very pleasant on the phone and in less than 2 hours Mr David was there to help me. He actually assessed my situation, crawled under my car and reattached the cable so I could then drive myself to the auto repair shop, saving me a bill for towing. I cannot thank David enough for his service today. Service like this is hard to find in the world today but when you do find it, it should be recognized. So, David….THANK YOU! You are a good man and I appreciate you!
I was just wondering if you guys still doing the towing at Orchid Terrace. 452 Tortugas st. Parks on the wrong side of the street everyday and nothing is happening. Help.
I was stuck in sugar sand on a long and dark road. Mr. David and Ms. Becky came and were so helpful and so professional and caring. They couldn't get their truck on the sanded road, but got their ATV and was able to pull me out. I was really deep in that sand. I thank God that they came to my rescue on a late, dark and very hot night. Not only were they professional and caring, they were very reasonable which meant so much - especially considering the exorbitant prices I received from other tow companies who also told me I would have to wait over an hour and a half. S&S were able to get to me a lot quicker than that at a great price, You can't ask for any better!!!
Friday, The lady was nice at office at least when I picked up my car.At the time car looked fine but I’m writing review for further view of me trying to reach you guys but guy that answered on weekend said to call Monday to file a claim that he doesn’t deal with that. But my car was fine but coincidentally now my brakes are not working right. I have to press them to floor to stop car now maybe a line damaged. I’m going to take it to get checked out at dealership and If they do tell me it was damaged by y’all I hope you guys will take responsibility and I’ll take down this review and all if so. Also y’all should have a buisness email to be in contact to. I will be in contact soon to follow up on this issue
Watched one of their drivers in a flatbed almost run multiple vehicles off the side of hwy27 and acting like he was going to ram anyone who got infront of him while road raging.
My daughter's Jeep was towed here after an accident. When I call the lady I spoke with was very polite and helpful. She emailed me the form I need within mins. When I had everything ready I showed up without an appointment and after providing the forms and my ID I was allowed inside to get my daughter's stuff outta her Jeep. The lady I spoke with that day was also the person who towed the Jeep. She asked about my daughter and expressed her sympathy. My overall experience was fantastic. For all the negative reviews I read prior to talking to anyone at the business I was a bit nervous. After interacting with the 2 ladies and 1 gentleman I say "HA THOSE BAD REVIEWS ARE BS!". They treated me with respect and decency. As I've always said you get what you give. Thank you ladies and sir. Y'all made something that was very emotionally hard a lot easier. This is a 10 star place with 20 star employees!
I went to my car this afternoon and found my battery dead. S&S Towing came within 20 minutes and jump started my car. Brandon was very quick, kind and caring and is my reason for 5 stars. He is an excellent representative for S&S Towing. I highly recommend calling them for any Towing or roadside assistance needs. They are the best in the business!
Came to our rescue after Webbs towing left us high and dry. Husband had a horrible accident and S&S towing came to us within an hour told us how to handle the insurance company since they were the original company hired for the job and said don’t worry they got our car have a great night. SUPER HELPFUL AND GRATEFUL.
No one wants to use a towing service...having said that, I cannot say enough about David and his service...he towed my car 150 miles, had his wife follow in her car with the rest of my party, and charged less than his competitors. I am certain they spent a heck of a lot more time on this job than expected, as we got rerouted by a major road closure...The gig started for them around 9pm, and they could not have returned home until around 4am...the point is that this family run business makes sure they deliver for their customers with the very finest of service and equipment. They are much appreciated.
S&S towing is the pinnacle of professionalism. The owner Dave was exceptionally helpful and sympathetic to my situation. He was very knowledgeable about my car and how it needed to be towed . His tow truck is state of the art for tow trucks, the hands free operation is amazing, nothing was touched on my car except the tires. I did not have to worry about my car getting damage from the tow. If you find yourself in a situation needing these services don’t risk using anyone else.
Can I just say WOW! This is the best towing company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I called Rebecca and set up a tow for a new project of mine. I was given a great price and a scheduled time. I was cooking dinner when I heard the tow truck pull up, right on time. By the time I sat down my spatula, the guys almost had my truck unloaded! I got in a car accident today because some idiot didn't look and made an improper right hand turn. Thankfully God is good and so is S&S towing. They accepted the tow with out hesitation to take my car to the dealer with out me having to be present and I got updates along the way. Thank you to the driver and the company in general for your service.
S&S is great! My car over heated and I was far away from their shop. I didn’t have to wait long at all and they kept me updated the entire time. My car was fixed and running the same day! My car is doing well and hasn’t had any issues since.
Got my truck broken down on I-4 this morning. Called S&S and got an immediate response from Dave. He came within 20 min, and was able to bring me and my truck home safe and fast. Dave is a true professional in this industry, and his attention to the customer service is excellent.

Ended up going to S&S yard after my father's car was towed from in front of his shop. The dudes were super nice and even helped us load the car up since its engine was blown, and we ended up chatting with them for over an hour.

Back in December 2022 I had was stuck on the side of the road with my damaged truck. My "roadside assistance" left me stranded for 7 hours I called S&S and Dave rescued my truck for me in the middle of the night so it potentially didn't get impounded because no tow truck from roadside assistance would come and get my truck before the next day at 8 AM.
Fast forward to January when my truck was scheduled to go into the shop "roadside assistance" leaves me stranded again. I call Dave and he sets me up with his other driver John in the same truck in his fleet. Both Dave and John both handled my truck correctly and professionally and didn't leave me hanging like roadside assistance did. Highly recommend this Tow truck company.
Chris arrived very quickly and was accurate in his ETA keeping me informed the entire time. He took great care of my classic car and treated it gently. I would most definitely recommend S&S Towing and thank you Chris for your professionalism and punctuality :)
