Hobbs Metals-Recycling JunkYard in Clearwater (FL)

Hobbs Metals is a great memory for many locals! Established in 1967, the 5acre former pig farm at the end of Rainville Rd, was transformed into an auto graveyard, gradually becoming the go-to for most anything! Over the decades, as the concrete plant, just across the street, poured out the leftover mud from the trucks, to slowly cover the work areas. I personally had a very unique upbringing... But continuing to be in that toxic hazardous environment has left myself moving on. The junkyard had hosted many people, from many places. I am honored to have known those amazing souls! Ask anyone from the area if they remember Clarence Hobbs? If they do, I assure there is a story there. The location was sold the year my father passed. My family and this crazy end of the road junkyard, truly meant so much to so many... It will be missed! 😔 Post memories or photos if you have any ❤️
