Took and old safe and some other scrap. They said we weighed more going out then coming in which is physical not possible on earth. They are cheats and beed to calibrate the scale. The lady lied to my face.
They’ll do whatever they can to avoid paying full price for aluminum. They don’t even use a magnet to check anymore, just ring you out as irony aluminum. Not all bolts are iron it’s not 1965 anymore

I do scrap metal recycling a lot the lady that runs the scale (Kerri) always friendly nice willing to help get you to the right place for whatever type of scrap metal you are recycling the place is clean and fair price I have seen a lot of others that are not .

As the owner of a fairly large junk removals company I cover 3 counties and I assure you, this is where you wanna go. And Kerri behind the counter is a dream to work with. Online says it's open on Saturdays buuuut definitely not open. Obviously this business does not care about your time life etc.

On two occasions I have went to this facility. Both times I have been ripped off!
I recycle for the concept not the money! But I find it comical when I bring in 50lbs of clean crushed cans and get paid for 9lbs. I brought in solid aluminum and got paid cheap metal prices my man’s magnet was broke that day. See I didn’t say a word I just called an old friend at the Florida AG’s office…But ya see all thieves get caught it’s just when! Happy Trails
You pull up to the bins and fill them with metal. Show your ID, they weigh it up, give you a ticket that you bring to a window on the other side, then scan your finger print, and get another slip you take around the side to a machine and scan your receipt and the machine spits out your cash.
Well organized yard, easy to access and the scale tender is always honest and will offer suggestions to maximize your yield. I owned a couple of small yards and can attest to the fair deal you will get. Don't try to screw them by filling hot water tanks or throw rocks in your washing machine barrel or fill the trunk of a scrap car with concrete blocks.They are well aware of the various nefarious ruses that scrap dogs try to pull.
This recycling facility has helpful and friendly staff. It is kept clear and clean where you have to drive in and dump your steel materials. The staff in the other drop off area are helpful when your not sure what kind of metal you have.
3 mother boards with the Intel pentium gold processors in it. A whole HP lap top, 5 lb of wires and 5 hard drives for 10 dollars. Someone needs to control this business. Dishonest , unfair and unlawful. They are crooks. True that they don't force you to make business with them but you don't realize the payment or the prices until they pay u. I had the feeling to be robbed I will never return to the place
i love how friendly and helpful the staff always is with me and my daughter as i am trying to teach her how to not only recycle but that she could also make money doing so. they were very helpful and kind and gave us a step by step intro (for the next time we came back), just to make our first visit feel very easy and comfortable. A+++
a company that reportedly rakes in 1-2 mill a year that still doesnt have the resources to record a message on their phone that has the hours of operation. its not posted anywhere. "thank you for calling onesteel recycling, we are currently closed, our hours are ____" but no, its just a full mailbox. clean the place up, and do some costumer service.
