Had a poor experience at this location – called to speak with the manager. Was told there was no manager on site. Asked to speak to somebody in charge was told there was nobody I could speak to. So apparently this operation just runs itself with workers which one explain why I had such a poor experience. There’s nobody there holding them accountable.
Great service, great prices and friendly people is why I come from Lakeland. Also they helped me with a trailer issue I was having so I could get back on the road. Thanks guys!
Best scrap yard I’ve been too. Mostly always polite and helpful, I love how they spray the yard with water and keep the lanes clean. I don’t believe I ever have gotten a nail in my tire, been going for a few years maybe 100 trips. God bless and Thank You
Outstanding Experience on Landers Recycling -which happened on April 18th 2025 Friday....Nataly who took the call was really helpful on the phone, quick and highly responsive.. She cares for the customners... highly resoruceful and humorous.
Other Great folks we cannot miss is Dylan warehouse manager- highly efficient, quick, sharp, intelligent..he can tell things including in Information Technology in a second... Wow, that was awesome in these kind of locations... Other good who tells what they do and take is Brandon.. Please ensure these people are well recognized acorss the board

Ran out of gas backing upto the shred pile,they brought me a gallon (asked if I wanted more) nobody was mad, do that in sanford,they push u out the gate and say "good luck" ,prices are way better than sanford,it's a few miles further for me,but worth it
I have been coming here for a year faithfully..They have a really good team which is hard to come by in any business nowadays..The whole staff is great and I have not had no issues..Great place to recycle your metal..The negative comments below just ignore them.
Screwed once again by landers. Sat in line for over an hour and a half watching guys walk around doing nothing only to turn me away the second the clock hit 4:30. Anyone going here make sure you get there 2 hrs before the close cuz the last hour 3 guys will be working while the rest of them stand around watching the clock.
What they do not disclose to you ahead of time is that if you're in a commercial vehicle, they will only write a check in the name of the business.
I'm not a thief. Whatever vehicle I'm in is my business.

Never again. Took in a load of clean cast iron this morning, got paid $.09. Took in a load of #2 steel this afternoon, got paid $.07. They don't bother cleaning up their travel lanes, so now I get to go spend the pennies they gave me fixing my tire. Should've just went to CMC, at least they keep the travel lanes clean and their guys know how to sort scrap. Don't waste your time with these people
First time there today, didn't know their process and had a mixed load but have to say the friendliest scrap yard I've ever been to and they most definitely help you sort out your pricier metals and give you the most dollar. Took a while as they were busy but will definitely be back.
This is a great recycling yard I have been going there for years and never have I ever had one issue. Always friendly and there willingness to help you or explain anything to you about different metals or how the system and the laws work is great. I would highly recommend bringing all your recyclables to this location.
Nice and neat yard although the communication with pickup has much to be desired. They set up a pickup with my customer but neglected to tell us there was an appointment time for it. This caused me to lose a full day of driving and I lost my next load due to this. They took 2 loaves off my table.
Very professional business! I went here for the first time and everyone was so nice. Prices seemed good to me, but honestly I don’t know any better. I was surprised how much money I got for my car.
We had a great experience. From being greeted to being directed through the whole process, they made this a breeze. All of the employees were so kind & helpful. It we have more scrap we know where to bring our business.
This place is friendly; clean and VERY well run. Had a great 1st time experience there scraping some old structural aluminum (pool enclosure) and it could not have gone any smoother. From the friendly ladies running the scales, to the guys helping unload the scrap aluminum to the final stop at the Red Rooster Cafe (where you get paid) this was an A+ experience and I will certainly recommend Landers Recycling to all who inquire. I have been going to Landers for about a year now for another company and only a couple weeks under my own company. The ladies that work the front window and weigh stations are very sweet. I am greeted every time the same way with a smile. I am greeted from the warehouse crew by my name and with huge respect from Jessie who always helps me understand how to separate my clean brass from dirty brass and Mike who answers all my questions. As well as the scrap guys, who are always ready to jump on the truck to empty your haul of stuff for you.
Best Metal Recycling business I have been to. Everyone treats you with respect and they are so willing to help you make the most out of your materials. The scale ladies Kayla and Laura are very efficient getting customers in the yard, and there is always a helping hand whether out at the piles or at the non ferrous warehouse. Landers is a very honest and well ran business that I highly recommend. Plus free chips and water on top of great service! Nothing like it around.
Landers is the best place for all your recycling needs! They are extremely helpful and informative about what can be scrapped and how to maximize the money received for your items. As an HVAC contractor we have many different types of recycling. We have dealt with numerous recycling companies over the years. Landers Recycling is by far the most professional and courteous business we have used. My crew are always treated well and even given water while they wait. Terry always keeps us updated on current prices and current trends. Terry goes above and beyond to make sure we are well taken care of. If there is any issue (which there hasn't been today), I know all I have to do is call and everyone there would be willing to assist.
The folks at Landers Recycling are true, honest business people who have grown their business because they treat everyone honestly and fairly. Unlike a bunch of places who blow a lot of smoke and never deliver, these people really do treat their customers the way they would want to be treated themselves. it is truly a joy to work with them.
The friendliest and most helpful recycling plant I have ever used. I would highly recommend this location. And they are conveniently located right off of 441 in Apopka.
I'm a locksmith and yellow brass is very valuable now. So it's always nice to go in there and collect some cash
