I have owned and operated a few autoshops myself in the past.
My opinion: Auto Hobby Shop has highly skilled staff, who are very quick and friendly.
I have had them do tires, alignments, and replace all 10 coils in my vehicles. It's always great work. Or they can provide knowledge and you can work on your own. Labor and parts prices are highly discounted.
Excellent help and very affordable rates. I really appreciate the autonomy you get at this place when compared to other hobby shops. They also have a paint booth!
Great and friendly service from Mr. Michael. I went to get an estimate to compare to dealership pricing. I will be getting car service here. A 200 saving for brake work.
One of the many under used privileges offered to military. The skills I have learn here working on my civilian vehicles have helped me with my military vehicles. It's good training. My kids like to come and help. Tha ks guys
The Auto Hobby Shop has taken on some challenging obstacles to keep these doors open. Thanks to facilitie's higher ups, and the staff at the shop for make it possible - thank you.
However, I feel as though quality to customer care has been compromised, and is lacking. This isn't a facilities that should underestimate the volume of
you consumers the utilize this shop for a multitude of benefits. The main one is obvious, being able to do the work yourself. It's imperative that you employ someone who facilitate this efficiently and properly. This is important, so that the shop...doesn't become an inconvenient visit.
I express this AS a customer, and not just a disgruntled...critic.

Great facility! Great collection of tools and lifts which make any car project easy. Attendants are extremely helpful and willing to provide advice and suggestions.
Fantastic asset for "DIYers". Tools available to cover just about any repair. Prices can't be beat considering the level of assets available. On-sight mechanics are knowledgeable and willing to provide the amount of help you ask for.
Excellent shop. Michael and Lateef are awesome- both very nice and quick to lend a hand. The shop is well equipped and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to work on my cars here.
Machinery needed was not in operating condition. The Airmen who use this place most likely do not care about the equipment since it is not theirs. Staff knew of the issues with the machines but haven't made much effort to fix it.
Awesome service. My 6 year old love to go here and do oil changes and stuff. Plus skills I learn here transfer to my military vehicle. It's good training and keeps my personal vehicle safe and reliable.
What a great place to do DIY maintenance on your vehicle. Prices are too reasonable, with fees coving the stall and tools. Staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable and will help and point you in the right direction.
Of course I love it because you can take your vehicle there and work on it. However, for someone who has been going there since the early 1980s, it has definitely changed. Again, it's great that you can you use the lifts to work on your vehicle. However, the tool boxes now have very limited tools to use. Unfortunately, you might as well bring our own tools. In the 1980s each stall had their own toolbox and would be inventoried before and after use. Specialty and advanced tools were checked out using chits assigned to each stall.
Can’t beat the service and treatment. They were busy and took the time to show me around and set me up with an Hydraulic lift. 4 dollars to rent a hydraulic lift. I rotated my tires in under 10 mins and saved 15 bucks.
Great service. Lafif (sorry if I messed up your name) is a refreshing change to what you normally get at service shops. Straight honest shooter that helps with a smile. Will be back.
Fantastic shop. I got quoted a fix from the Mazda dealership in FWB for over $600. And the guys here fixed it my car in under $200. I inspected it when I got home and they did a great professional job.
Employees were very nice and helpful. Stall 14 had some issues with a sensor at the top to detect when a vehicle is at max height. I was able to get a spot quickly and complete my tasks in peace. Price was $8/hour for a lift, not sure what a flat stall costs.
This hobby shop has EVERYTHING. Paint, welding, brakes, A/C, etc. Friendly staff that is knowledgeable. They have honest process, the cheapest I've found in the area and they use warrantied parts

went there to get u joints replaced, took them 5 hours (not there fault they were frozen in there) got the bill, less than $100 and that included parts and labor. any other shop would have charged parts and 5 hours labor. I love this place and will go back anytime.
I do most of my own work. I love having access to a lift. The staff will help advise you when you ask. They can do the repairs if you are not capable including tire rotation and balancing.
They replaced the water pump for my Saturn Ion, which was a $400 repair when I had to have it done at a different place five years ago. I was only charged $233 here. For as long as I'm here, I'll be their customer.
The stall tool boxes are a disaster (missing sockets, impact wrenches keep spinning). They're unfortunately understaffed so you'll have to interrupt theme while they're mounting tires to get tools which would otherwise be in your box.
Otherwise the staff is nice and knowledgeable.
