Popped in to fill up our tires quickly and was greeted by an INCREDIBLE sweetie dog and friendly staff. Efficient service and pleasant people with a clean comfortable sitting area.
If you're in the Lower Keys, I definitely recommend A1 auto for work on your vehicle. I broke down on the 7 mile due to a worn fuel pump, and A1 diagnosed my car and replaced the pump in just a few days even though they were short-staffed at the time.
After my pump was replaced, there were some unforeseen issues (unlike other vehicles, my rollover valve is installed separate from the fuel pump in a very hard to see/reach spot, and had come loose). They looked at it right away. My car was fixed and ready the next day with no extra charge, despite it being so hard to get to. Huge shout out to their whole team for putting in so much effort to get me back on the road. I'll be coming back for any work I need done in the future! :)
An excellent experience! This shop offers the best service I've encountered in the Keys. The owners are exceptionally kind, and the pricing is fair and reasonable. Highly recommend.
This auto body shop is amazing! My truck was leaking large amounts of fluid and called A1 Auto of the Keys at 4:45 (they close at 5) the lady who answered was so kind and said if you can get here before 5 we will check it out! Pulled in 5 minutes before 5 and they had it up in the air and assessed by 5:15! Couldn’t drive my truck home and the lady even offered to give me and my son a ride home. I can’t thank this auto body shop enough! Very professional, kind and caring! Great service in the keys! They made my day! Thank you!
By FAR the BEST in the Keys. We absolutely LOVE Kipp and his staff. He never overcharges us, is honest, fair and does business with integrity. I highly recommend A1 and won’t go anywhere else. Thank you for being such a great man!
Came here to get a fresh set of tires after calling a bunch of local shops. A1 sourced my tires from their supplier at a price that beat online vendors, and offered to retorque my tires after breaking them in. Great crew and great service.
The owner of this shop Kipp more than likely saved my life not only with his prices, but he notices something was wrong with the battery that 2 other dealerships completely missed and was almost fatal to the entire car. The whole staff is stand up civilians and Kipp especially saved my family over 3 grand on the main problem, the catalytic converter alone. After going to a few other auto shops around the area, I can certainly say that this is the absolute best, and most sincere staff imaginable in the Keys! I very highly recommend this A1 store and am very appreciative of the staff for doing things that the dealerships couldn’t. God bless. 🙏

Came to the keys and brought two spare tires they quickly mounted them on my rims and at a reasonable price would’ve had me done in probably an hour but I had plans so I left my truck over night. Great customer service!
Most dishonest garage I’ve ever had the misfortune of using. Brought my truck in to have the new engine attached to the transmission, before I did this I had all my nuts and bolts bundled for what part they fasten, taped together and labeled. When I got my truck back, the transmission was attached, but all my bolts were thrown into a box, askew, completely disorganized and most of them just flat out missing. When I brought my truck back for them to rectify this situation, Kip, head mechanic or whoever the hell he is, took 2 whole weeks to contact me just to basically tell me there’s nothing he would be able to do without an obscene amount of money. I now have to pay for storage and make runs back and forth to the hardware store to resemble the engine myself. Do not trust these guys with anything more than a part replacement.
Over the top service! The owners were friendly and quickly got me in for a rapidly leaking tire during our vacation. The mechanic who did the job was friendly, efficient and overall a great guy. The price charged was so reasonable that I gave them a big tip for pizza or whatever the shop wanted. 5+ star recommendation!
There are approximately 1 septillion stars in the universe. If I could give them all to A1 Auto, I would. Sadly, I’m limited to just 5 stars. Awesome people to deal with. Had an issue with a tire while traveling with my wife and baby and they got us back on the road quickly and at a very reasonable price. Friendly people and a well run business. Thank you!
Absolutely awesome people! Got a flat tire heading north out of Key West. This was the first tire shop I could find that was open. Very clean. They got us right in and took care of our problem. Everyone in there was friendly. AND they didn’t kill is on the repair cost. I would definitely use this location again!!!!
If you are in Keys and something happens to your vehicle, you think that it couldn't have picked a worse place to need repair. Everything in the Keys is overpriced, right? So I was most pleasantly surprised by the quick, kind, and affordable service I received when I took my van in. While there is no such thing as "cheap" car repair, rest assured that these folks are honest and won't rip you off!

Great place, awesome staff! Stranded on the overseas with a flat. Brought it in with a replacement tire. They changed out and got me back on the road in under 30 minutes! Very reasonable price too! Good, solid folks!
Traveling the keys in our Interstate van we had an inside back tire not holding air. Wife called and spoke with Heidi. She said bring it on in even though it was getting close to closing time. We took it in and KJ proceeded to work on it immediately. Within 30 minutes he had both tires off valve stem replaced and tires back on torqued to specs. Very professional and personal. This was service like I would get back home. One doesn't expect this traveling. A+ Thanks.
Start to finish, this place was professional and fair. The owner could of charged me double what he did, but was honest. That went very far for me, especially with everyone being either out of work, or affected financially during these times. The owners wife is absolutely lovely. Thank you for being good people. It did not go unnoticed.
Great service and convenient, I was able to drop off my vehicle before business hours and pick it up after hours as well. They came highly recommended from quite a few people we asked when looking for a good mechanic. We will be taking our cars there again.
They understand what I need and go beyond that. They discuss your issues and your needs. Very friendly people to work with with a understanding of the Public's need. They charge you for what you need not what you think you might need would certainly saves me a lot of money. Very honest hard-working people which is very hard to find anymore. 30 years in business I know it good and bad businesses are. They're not trying to sell you a harmonica when you're trying to buy a flute. Highly recommended
Drove down 1200 miles and 20 hrs from Columbus, Ohio. AC Compressor failed outside of Orlando. Made it down to the Keys with no air and windows down in 85+ degrees. My friend suggested this business, so i went. Staff was friendly and professional. Kip is super cool and a straight shooter. YAY!!! I now have an auto mechanic in the keys! Highly Recommend!
They are nice and seem to do good work. This was my first time coming in here so I will review again next time. I had them replace my transmission. All they did was receive the rebuilt that I had purchased and did the removal of the one and install the new one. They were patient in letting my truck sit there until the replacement came in. They also worked with the transmission company to get the core returned. My only issue was that I wish they had a copy of the paperwork that was signed by the shipping company showing they picked it up. It seems as though the transmission was lost in shipping.
A1 Auto was awesome!! I called them for my air conditioner not working in my car (which we all know can potentially be an expensive fix) they got me in right away! That very same day! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Come to find out they fixed the problem faster than I could drive off of the island!! It was a simple fix that I was unaware of. They could have totally ripped me off and charged me an arm and a leg for something so easily fixed and they didn't. They called me back and didn't charge me a dime! They not only will have me as a repeat coustomer, but have my respect. Thank you A1 Auto!! You guys are awesome!
Great Mechanic! Was referred to A1 by a good friend, am very happy with their Service. Timely Reasonable and Professional. One Stop Shop too, capable of handling any automotive repair from oil changes to complete engine repairs. Very Friendly People.
