DO NOT USE THIS AUCTION WEBSITE
There was an auction in boise idaho which there is no known location for this auction
They require a membership to go through this auction. On the website they said the auction started at 1130 am and to bid live you needed to be a member so I paid for a membership which later it says it can take up to 24 hours. Then when they finally approve my account which was at 1120 am I entered the auction list to find out the auction started at 930 am which was then complete 2 hours prior.
All this led me to call and ask for a membership refund and they told me its not refundable to pay to enter in a auction I couldnt be apart of overall this is a big scamFeb 13, 2026 -
The delivery service is incredibly professional. They got me my car promptly, it was in perfect condition, and honestly, the quality of service exceeded all my expectations. They deserve more than 5 stars.

I am not the type of person to do reviews on places that I have purchased from but ordering a car from the auction was very stressful my second time with them. The first time was really good but then I won an auction and they informed me that I had to wait for days until they received a confirmation for the car. They never reached out to me. I was the one that kept on reaching out to them. their communication is not good. I would say try your best to avoid using SCA-Auction. They collect a lot of fees just for nothing. I basically won the bid and they told me that I did not win the auction.

I used other sites before but this one's been more consistent. Jason answered when I called and sorted a document issue quick. Delivery worked fine, licensed shipper, no probs. As long as you read the bid terms you got no surprises later.

Cars as described, no fake stuff. Got title on time, delivery handled right. Good people and solid customer care overall.

Extremely helpful and very friendly staff. I talked to them multiple times during my vehicle purchasing process and they assisted me so well.

I strongly recommend avoiding SCA Auctions. They present themselves as an auction company, but in reality they operate more like a broker whose goal seems to be collecting as many fees and deposits as possible while providing very little actual service or transparency.
I deposited $1,000 so I could bid on motorcycles, placed a bid, and appeared to win — only for the listing to suddenly disappear with no explanation. I later learned that because I did not have their “Premier” membership, I could not even see the final live bidding stage. So I paid the additional $200 for Premier Access… which never activated. All day long I kept getting the same “waiting for documentation/approval” error. I called, chatted, and emailed support trying to get it fixed so I could bid on the next motorcycle. Nothing.
A phone rep told me to email my bid so they could place it manually. I did exactly that. My bid was never placed. I watched the auction stay “live” long past its posted end time, then the listing simply disappeared again. When I asked what happened, they told me the seller rejected the low bid (not mine, because they never placed it), and had already relisted the motorcycle — now suddenly labeled as a non-repairable vehicle. None of this was communicated upfront.
Only after speaking with a staff member did I learn that their “auction times” do not actually mean anything. They pause bidding for an hour, then reopen it, then run a separate, very short auction window that you cannot participate in unless you have the Premier upgrade (which, again, they took my money for but never activated).
When I finally gave up, I asked for my $1,000 deposit back and was told it would take 1–2 weeks. I asked for my $199 Premier membership refund since it never worked — they refused. I’m now disputing the charge with my credit card company.
In my experience, SCA’s system is confusing, inconsistent, and feels designed to generate fees rather than provide a fair auction process.Dec 02, 2025 -
If I could provide this with negative stars I would. Just a heads up, this is not the auction they are the brokers. I purchased a car that unknowingly had a rollback. They said that it was the actual mileage when it was not. Now they are taking their time getting back to me because they claim that they are waiting to hear back from the auction. Photos from the contract vs car fax review. I have put over 5k into this dud of a car only to find out that it was pointless.

On July 7, 28, 2025 I won the bid on a 2008 Nissan Maxima, Invoice# 147136 from SCA AUCTIONS LLC. I had a maximum bid of $575 and was charged $1,696 (details below).
Winning price + Auction fees = Sale price 1080
Transaction fee 250
Documentation fee 199
SALES PRICE DUE $1696
SCA Auctions did not contact me until September 16, 2025, stating they received the title.
On September 29, 2025, SCA Auctions contacted me and stated the title had been delivered by FedEx. Apparently, there was no signature required and the FedEx envelope was gone before I came home from work.
I contacted SCA Auction on October 20, 2025, about the missing title and they responded “We've sent a request to the auction to check if they can order a duplicate. Once we have an update, we'll let you know”. On October 31, I still had not heard back from SCA, so I sent them another email. They responded “Hello! Let me see if we have an update from the yard”. On November 3, 2025, I received the following response from SCA, “Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to get a duplicate for this unit”. I responded “DMV said you're the only one that could get a duplicate title. Can I ask why you cannot request a duplicate title? SCA response was “That was a reply from the auction house”.
So now I have a car that doesn’t run, that I was overcharged in auction fees, with no title and SCA Auction refusal to assist me.
It only takes one other person to have a similar experience with SCA auction to file a class action suit against them.
Let me know.
SCA, please do not add a lame response to my review.Nov 03, 2025 -
I put a bid in on a Jeep and I was high bitter and it was pulled from the auction and it was not listed with reserve and it did not have a price on it for buy until the next daythe next day. The price for buy was on it which to me is illegal it has to show with reserve to pull it and if it has a price on it to buy they can pull it but it did not have a price on it to buy I'm waiting for a phone call but I don't believe that's gonna happen Right now if I don’t hear from these people, I will go to a different auction place and these people are not right at all.

SCAM alert!!!! I placed a “buy now” payment because the truck was such a good deal. The buy now price said $7600. The website says that I would receive an invoice in 12 hours. I then get an invoice for $14,600!! They said that there was a glitch in their system that showed a lower buy now price. They said that the glitch happened but I must pay the $14,600 plus fees. So they had a low price for buy now, when I clicked on it and won the vehicle, they “fixed” the glitch and then say I have to pay an extra $7000 for their mistake! Pretty wild. I wish I had read the reviews before doing business with them. I have documentation, proof, pictures, their emails admitting to it being a glitch on their website but they still say I must pay? Heading to court because they won’t fix the problem. I offered to have them honor the price I was shown, cancel the order or do arbitration. They said no to all of it. Stay away!

I thought I could bid on a boat and have a chance to start a project. Every time I made a bid it was immediately out-bid. I did some research and it seems that the back-end software only updates bids once-in-a-while, clearly not acceptable for a bidding process across multiple web sites.
For your information, most if not all of their vehicles come from IAAI dot com (where you can find a bigger selection of pictures for your specific vehicle). SCA does have two competitors (look under the broker section on the IAAI site). I monitored the pre-bids from both SCA and SalvageBid and that's where I found out the reason for always getting out-bid. The screen shot below shows two boats I was following clearly indicating the difference in the pre-bids. Even though the bid increments were $100, there was a difference of $7000, so on other sites there might have been 70 other bids!
Unfortunately, I paid the $199 to use the site before realizing their back-end software is rather antiquated and clearly not appropriate for on-line, time sensitive transactions.Jul 15, 2025 -
Awful! I bought a boat in full, expensive!! We have been waiting for 3 MONTHS for the title and still have no received it! Boat was purchased in January. We have called over a dozen times, amateur hour and I am starting to get concerned. We will be fined at the time of registration a fee we should not have to incur. It is ridiculous!

SCA is a broker that adds many fake fees to your purchase price.
I purchased a vehicle for $4,050 and after fees, the amount owed was $5,626 ($1,576 in fees = auction fee of 1127, transaction fee of $250, document fee of $199). Fees equaled 39% of total purchase price.
I purchased a vehicle for $2300 and the final amount was $3559 ($1,259 in fees = auction fee of $810, transaction fee of $250, document fee of $199). Fees equaled 54.7% of total purchase price.
I purchased an RV for $1,375 and the final amount was $2484 ($1,109 in fees = auction fee of $660, transaction fee of $250, document fee of $199). Fees equaled 80.6% of total purchase price.
For every auction won, you will be charged a Transaction Fee of $250, Documentation Fee of $199 and an Auction Fee.
WARNING: Do NOT use them as a broker, unless you want to pay extremely high fees.Dec 24, 2024 -
Grade A rip off. They take your money to bid...then hold up your application for DAYS.
Meanwhile, the item you were interested in has come and gone.
They charge you a fee to get on their platform and buy. And then they don't give you the ability TO buy. Epitome of a SCAM.
Also...good luck getting thru to customer service. IF they even answer. Next stop. BBBNov 13, 2024 -
Very Unimpressed with this company. They advertise very well "bid on any auction cars" but they DO NOT tell you that there are restrictions until it comes time to bid. This company DOES NOT have all the licenses to be able to bid in all states (referring specifically to Wisconsin) this information was only disclosed to me AFTER I went through the process of purchasing their $200 membership and placing a ~$2500 deposit all to be told "sorry we do not have the proper licensing to bid in Wisconsin" very unprofessional and honestly very upsetting as now in order to bid on the vehicle I am interested in I will need to pay another fee to another broker and I am now out the $200 for their membership fee as when I bought it I was under the impression I would be able to bid on whatever auction car I please due to their advertising. Would not recommend this place as they advertise you can "bid in 200+ auction locations" and have advertising that leads you to believe you can have access to most/all auctions and they leave out the fact that they don't even have all licenses required to bid in all 50 states. Unbelievable, borderline a scam for a $200 membership fee.

Brad did an amazing job at helping us through the whole process from bidding, documentation and receiving the documents. SCA Auctions really goes above and beyond for there customers. I truly appreciate the help and will only be purchasing cars through SCA Auctions from now on.

I used this brookage company for IAAI live auctions. SCA has great service that is quick to respond and help, as well go out there way to help with problems they may see on there end. The site is simple and easy to understand. The live autions are very responsive, even on mobile. Also they provide important information on the vehicles you look at that will help with your bidding. Lastly the pricing and fee's are moderate/fair and (MOSTLY) transparent. I say mostly because they give estimates of closing fee's. They aren't to far off, but closing fee's can range a few hundred dollars higher than the estimated amount. By no means are you getting a deal using SCA as a brooker. But the service, site UI and responsiveness is worth the money. And I will use them again in the future.
P.s. those who read other reviews. Please understand this is a brookage company, and the product people receive from auctions shouldn't reflect the review of using SCA.
Thank you for reading and happy bidding!Jan 31, 2024 -
By the time you bid on a vehicle and if you win, they're going to charge you the extra couple thousand in hidden fees more than what you bid on a vehicle and if you don't get the vehicle, After that, they're going to keep your $1000 that you put in and charge you an extra $600. This is the worst auction ever and if you win on a little bid, The seller don't have to sell it to you because the bid is too low. So 9 times out of 10 you only win in vehicles that the seller wanted to sell him at anyway. Do not, and i repeat, do not use this site. It's the worst if I can give a less to one star. I will give it zero stars.

gave it one star only because lowest I can go. SCA auctions accepted $2000 in deposits for bidding on vehicles. I attempted to get a refund but business claimed they not show that amount. they claimed that they had only charged my credit card 1000.
I contacted BBB, yet they still claimed they had only taken 1000 from my account. my account showed two withdrawls of 1000 each. SCA claims that am not willing to show them paper work backing up my claim.
who in their right mind would contact the bbb and ask for assistance just for the fun of it. a customer service business should understand that chances of someone contacting the bbb with a complaint may have some truth to it. this business is not customer service oriented, and will take your money if given the oppurtunity. they took the oppurtunity to do that, and they succeded. for a company that is core business model is to provide a service, they most certainly not meeting that benchmark.Dec 14, 2023 -
BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I buy 5 cars and did the wire money. BEWARE OF SCAM after making 2 wire transfers of a Truck I purchased on this site I received a email stating that unfortunately they couldn't ship the vehicle. I immediately called and sent emails the same day to SCA Auction for my refund and have yet not received the vehicle or my refund and its been 3 weeks!
Jul 13, 2023 -
Be aware! They're trying to sell me a truck that I never bid on. I only created an account to buy a small family vehicle cuz I couldn't afford to buy a car from the dealer. After paying for a car I bought from them, they followed up with another invoice showing that I owe over $13,000 on a truck that I never bid on. This is my first month having an account with them.
SCA is a nightmare. Future customers be aware and stay away. I'm hiring an attorney to deal with them at this point because I can't do anything by myself from what they're already saying to me. This proves that they try to sell you something and if you don't buy it then they'll charge fees. I hate tonppost bad review but I am doing this to save future customers.May 09, 2023 -
I have won a few vehicles over the years through SCA. In my experience the auction site and everything works fine. I strongly recommend going and picking up your own vehicle. Just show up to the yard paid in full and act like you know what you are doing, get your vehicle, and leave. DO NOT under any circumstance use their Shipping. They demand payment and money wire and once they get it, good luck getting your vehicle. I have been waiting for multiple weeks and call everyday, and everyday they say we will call you this afternoon with an ETA to be at your house.i still havnt got that phone call yet. They also removed the tracking info from my profile so I can't see anything and it looks like it was delivered. Again DO NOT use their Shipping, or suffer the same fate as me.

Extremely shady company, avoid at all costs.
I purchased a 2007 Cadillac STS back in November of 2022 from SCA Auctions via their “Buy it Now” function for approximately $750. The total came up to approximately $1,900.00 after tax, fees, and delivery. They took a security deposit of $1000.00 on my credit card and they demand that the rest of the fees are to be paid by wire transfer. I went to the bank to make the wire transfer and they advised me the the company name on the invoice for the banking information was different than “SCA Auctions” and that I should proceed with caution. The bank account listed was for “A Better Bid LLC”. I contacted SCA Auctions while still at the bank and they could not verify the authenticity of any of the information.
I decided not to proceed with the wire transfer so I left the bank. Later on, SCA Auctions sent me an email with their banking information which was completely different than the original invoice. They were trying to get me to send money to someone else’s bank account! I have phone call recordings with SCA Auctions, my bank, and I have records of all of their documents. I’ve been trying to get my $1,000.00 back from them since November with no cooperation. Please take this review as a warning and buy your car from another auction.
Also, their phone service is terrible and the line disconnects every time they transfer you (I have recordings of multiple calls of where this happens). Their email service is equally as bad, they have only send me their terms and conditions in regards to this issue even though they are in the wrong.Apr 03, 2023 -
I am impressed by the level of customer service they provided each time I gave them a call. Every question was answered in detail and the delivery estimate they gave me was accurate. When I received my bike, I was happy to see it was in the same condition as it was displayed on their website.

I have only great things to say about SCA. They shipped the car I bought promptly and answeres all of my questions during our last communication. Wonderful auction probably the best I’ve ever worked with.

DO NOT USE!!
They scammed me out of a $199 fee for their "Premiere Membership". I paid the $199, then added a $400 security deposit so I could bid on a car and I lost the opportunity to buy the car because their site said I hadn't added a security deposit. The only reason I signed up was to bid on a particular car, I missed out on it because their website did not work and now they won't give me my $199 back. Paypal offered no protection either. DO NOT send them any money. Use another service.Oct 12, 2022 -
The car I bought was delivered on time and the condition was just as when I saw it before bidding. I took my time to visit the auction yard and look at the car prior to finalizing the purchase. I think that was the best decision, as it gave me clarity.
