I had an unpleasant interaction as a pedestrian with one of this company’s drivers at the roundabout crosswalk outside The Miami Beach EDITION. I had already entered the crosswalk heading toward the beach when the driver, who was exiting the hotel parking lot, stopped and yelled at me, calling me “stupid” for not stopping and letting him enter the roundabout first. When I turned around and took photos of the truck, he rolled down his window again and sarcastically asked if I wanted his autograph but refused to provide his name. I called the company to report the interaction, but the person who said she was the manager did not handle the complaint professionally and responded sarcastically before ending the call. This behavior was surprising and unprofessional, especially from a driver operating a company vehicle in a high-pedestrian area used by people walking to the beach.

This was my second time to Miami Beach to visit a friend. Apparently there was some sort of celebration going on in the parking lots were charging $100 for a few hours to park. I had found a vacant spot but unfortunately there was a tollway zone sign that I could not see from my car and it was not visibly posted. My car was towed because it was reported as being parked in a tow away zone. Regardless my car was towed 1-3/4 Miles. The final bill was $425. Highway robbery. The city of Miami should be ashamed of itself and so should this company. Not only did they not take credit cards but I had to use their own ATM which charged me for using my credit card. And because the credit limit on the machine was only $400 I was charged twice to get the remaining cash for using the credit card. Because it appears that the city of Miami does not care about their visitors by allowing such outrageous costs to be permitted I certainly will make sure my other friends are aware of this problem and I definitely will not be coming back to Miami Beach anytime soon. I wish the sinking of the city should move quicker than it already is.

Somehow south beach is not regulated by Miami towing laws and they have ridiculous prices. Legal Scammers worthless people and zero customer service and are actually pretty rude. Hung up on me 3 times when asking if they had my car and what time it was towed because I had a parking pass. Losers

TOTAL EXTORTION: The 200 South Pointe Dr. Towing Trap If I could give this "business" TREMONT TOWING negative stars, I would. This isn't a towing service; it’s a legalized car-theft ring operating in broad daylight with the blessing of the City of Miami Beach and the silence of Catch Miami Beach. The Scam Breakdown: • The Setup: I am a local Miami Beach resident (33139). I parked in a MUNICIPAL spot at 4:00 PM and PAID the City of Miami Beach for my parking session. • The Snatch: By 6:40 PM—less than three hours later—this towing company had already swooped in and hauled my car away. • The Trap: There is zero visible signage at this location describing the length of parking allowed or the immediate, aggressive repercussions for staying. It is a "Gotcha" system designed to prey on residents and diners. Complicity at Every Level: 1. Tremont Towing Company: Predators who sit in the shadows waiting for a timer to hit zero so they can hold your property for ransom. Their "business model" is based on deception and lack of transparency. 2. Catch Miami Beach: A "luxury" restaurant that watches its guests’ cars get snatched from their front door and does absolutely nothing to warn them. They are happy to take your money for dinner while you’re being robbed outside. 3. The City of Miami Beach: As a local taxpayer, I am disgusted. The City fails to provide proper signage so residents can actually follow the law. Instead, they’ve turned South Pointe into a hunting ground for towing companies. The Verdict: Avoid parking anywhere near 200 South Pointe Dr. This towing company is part of a coordinated extortion scheme. They don't provide a service; they exploit a lack of signage to fill their pockets at the expense of law-abiding residents. SHAME ON TREMONT TOWING COMPANY, SHAME ON CATCH, AND SHAME ON THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.

Very disappointing experience. I parked to shop at Publix and made a purchase, but my car was towed because I briefly left the building. I have proof of purchase from Publix during that time. If there is a rule about not leaving the premises, it needs to be clearly posted. This felt misleading and unnecessarily punitive.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. My car was towed and held for less than an hour, yet I was charged $458. That amount feels completely unreasonable and excessive given the short time it was in your possession. I double checked, if not triple checked, that my car was parked correctly before leaving. There was no clear signage or indication that I was in violation of anything. The lack of transparency makes this situation even more frustrating. When I contacted the company, the service was unprofessional and dismissive. I received little to no explanation about the charges, no clear breakdown of fees, and no meaningful clarification about why my vehicle was towed in the first place. Overall, the experience felt predatory and poorly handled. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious.

SCAM Alert - Don’t Park on Miami Beach in a Parking LOT. We were towed even though we paid on the App by the CITY. The employees confirmed we must park on the street parking if you don’t want to get towed. $425.00 for being in IMPOUND for 1 Hour. We are from out of State and have never been towed in Florida. STAY AWAY from the Parking Lot & Towing Mafia

This company is violating Sec. 30-473(k) concerning forms of payment towers must accept. They told me cash or Zelle only that’s a violation of the Board of County Commissioners rule. Not only that the law states that If you arrive at a scene while your vehicle is towed, and would like it released on site, the tow operator must release your vehicle for half the towing rate (currently $72.50). They told me that he couldn’t make copies so it has to be done at the office. I am filing a consumer complaint against this mafia agency.

Terrible service, a young blonde woman answered my call and was unable to tell me the address of the place where the car was taken. She put me in hold for 30 minutes! She was rude, I'll never be back to Miami again.

As far as parking illegally and getting your car towed goes, I was able to get it back with ease. 10 minutes I was back in my whip.

I never been here! I'm just a huge fan of the TV show South Beach Tow. I see a lot of negative reviews. Bernice must of pissed them off

Worst company ever! Insanely high towing fees! Over $500!!! They illegally towed the car when I was still there, the driver refused to drop the car! Extremely rude people! When I called them they refused to admit that my car was there so they can charge more for the storage, but luckily my car had a tracking device! They act barbarous!! Hope karma will get them all soon!

If I could.i would give 0 stars. Went t9 pay 3893 dollars to get my cat back after the park and pay went over 10 minutes the are scammed. The pot smell was also overwhelming when I went to the office to get my car and had to go back because he did give me a receipt. What a scam!

Evil. Thanks Miami Beach for the conflicting signs. We paid the pay per plate and were towed after 2 hours. There’s NO REASON a $274 tow has a $118 storage admin fee and a $33 release fee to a total of $426.

The worst company, very rude service, they refuse to help and act like they're being punished at work. Their prices are out of this world. We received a damaged car.

Tourists & non-residents: what to expect at Tremont Towing I’m a non-resident visitor and my car was towed and kept less than 24 hours. I was charged $632. A few things others should know: The rate board inside shows much cheaper prices for Miami Beach residents than for non-residents. As a visitor you’ll pay the higher schedule, even if your car is there only a few hours. If it’s a rental car, they will not release it to the renter, even with ID and the contract. I had to go back to the rental company, get a replacement car, and the rental company had to pick up the towed vehicle themselves. Although there are signs listing several payment options, in practice they refused credit cards and insisted on cash or Zelle for the full amount. The office has notices about your “towing bill of rights” and how to complain or challenge charges, but none of this is explained unless you ask. My advice: if your car is towed here, bring cash or Zelle, document all the posted signs and your receipt, and if it’s a rental, call the rental company immediately because you probably won’t be allowed to pick up the car yourself.

This company repeatedly breaks the law and has been caught time and time again doing exactly that. If you are a victim of their illegal actions, I would recommend pursuing a claim against them. Otherwise, why would they stop?

“Service with kindness” is not exactly the word I would use to describe this place. DO NOT GET TOWED HERE! the workers are rude and disrespectful to everyone who requests assistance. They also told me all I needed was license and registration to get my car back but they lied. They told me now I need a NOTARIZED letter to get my car back. What bull. The workers need to take a crash course on having empathy. Getting your car towed is stressful enough as it is. Throw in some rude disrespectful workers with attitudes bigger than the tow fees they charge and it’s a recipe for disaster. Terrible customer service.

Tremont Towing removed my Rivian from what they inaccurately labeled as a private lot; I have clear evidence it was public property. The vehicle was towed without activating Tow Mode, contrary to manufacturer guidelines, putting the drivetrain at risk. When I attempted to resolve the matter, I was denied an official contact email and advised not to disclose information if pursuing legal action. I am filing a formal complaint with Miami-Dade Consumer Protection and reserving all legal rights.

SCAMMERS! My car rental was recently towed. I’ll take responsibility in whatever mistake that was made on my end. But for them to “try” and charge me $400+ dlrs is insane. The tow truck spot was less than a mile away and I was parked for less than 30 mins. These ppl are desperate vultures. They can have the dam car for all I care before they get over on me! National Car Rental was notified and they can have this battle with those scums. . And I wonder how much did they pay the few ppl that left them 5 stars reviews…

Parking spot wasn’t properly marked , they refused to drop it on the spot they just started hooking the car up when we got there , and we offered to pay to have it dropped in the spot but they took it to company 0.8 miles away and charge us 700 dollars , we have prove and gonna be writing to customer protection and the state attorneys office , 700 to have the car 20 min in their possession is insane

The man that was towing the vehicle was so rude it was my mother's birthday. We are on vacation eating at a restaurant and waiting over 30 mins at a restaurant for my mother's meal to come out to a very unprofessional man telling us if we don't pay him 130 dollars he was going to tow it to the yard for 500 dollars!!!! This company is a scam and money hungry and is desperately willing to do anything to screw over tourists. This man said he only excepted cash not any other payment to Me it's due to no evidence and pocketing your money .

Be careful with this towing company. Looks like they are notorious in towing rental cars from non-miami residents. We paid $400+ for towing fine. They don't accept any mode of payment other than cash. Girl in the front/admin was really unfriendly and rude.

Up charges Florida residents escaping hurricane and can’t even pass a building inspection. “We have a printer… …Doesn’t mean I’ll let you use it” Actual quote from the miserable and rude woman who works at the front desk.

They busted my back suspension on my 2011 dodge charger on Sept 6 , my car was towed out in front of my uncle house on 81st and Harding Ave at 4am , I went to get the car around 1pm , and the total was $443+51 dollar ticket , now my car is in the shop and once I pay the total I will have to file a suit for damages , court fee, and trauma …… miamj is not a commonwealth like north it’s privately ran with some deal with Miami Beach police with no one monitoring them because again the police create they own price. So the police, who I pay my taxes every day I go to work , allows private towing company’s to take advantage of people , I have lived in north bay village for 3 year in the picture below you will see evidence and why a lawsuit and the BBB was also contact …. I’m going for everything I can get for the negligence, I missed worked because of my busted suspension and it’s still in the garage. The BBB is helping me to recuperate damages this company done we will see you in small claim y’all made money off the shows so yall can cover for the damages one way or another because that was pure negligence and I won’t allow something so unjustifiable and so mafia to happen to regular hard working people who are struggling in this economy you guy are taking extreme advantage !!!! 443 DOLLARS FOR 8 hours of having my car in a space below shows I can park here is a lost case so everyone that read this wish me luck in court

UPDATE: when I went to pick up the car they said “we cannot get the right keys to the gate” it took over an hour to get the car after paying them more than $1,000. It’s easy to understand why the only good reviews about the place are about the show. These folks are likely to damage your car and are unable to work efficiently. More likely that you’ll be teased than anything.

They will cut your tow fee in half IF you pay in CASH now!!..they drive around looking for victims to hook up to and scam you into thinking they'll tow you when all they want is your cash. He obviously had no intention to tow my car due to the fact that it is an AWD car AND it would need to be dollied which he was too lazy to do to make it look legitimate.

Parked in Miami Beach where it clearly said no parking between Monday- Saturday 6am-6PM and today is Sunday… also smart thieves bc you need to pay cash so you have no way of disputing the charge cause clearly they know they are towing people who should not have been towed. Horrible

This company is trash. You pay for parking & they still take your car. On top of that you call them & they say that it isn't there. I spent almost 3 hrs on the phone trying to find out. They did end up taking the car but it was picked up by the rental company but they had no record of it. I see a lot of ppl are dealing with the same thing. I parked at 1629 parkmobile a lot on Collins. That spot was recommended by the hotel.
