I have to update my review. These ppl are definitely not the average scrap yard..( and I know all the the local places) I had an issue recently and made a complaint. Honestly didn't think they would care, let alone fix it. I was very surprised! They responded quickly and were very professional and courteous. They didn't act like looking into the matter was an inconvenience, which you can expect at most places, but they also didn't give me my money and send me on my way...The owner/ manager took the time to listen and explained what he could do to resolve the matter...while I waited, the guy who had cashed me out the previous day, took the time to go back over my receipt and was able to fix the issue before the owner had returned. I was in and out in less than 15 mins and left without the "cringe" I had expected...at least until my car wouldn't start and I was stranded for the next 10 mins lol!
Obviously not their fault but, they were nice enough to check on me and offer a jump. Like I said..really nice people. I highly recommend this place.

These people are the scum of scams. Do not take none of your stuff to these thieves. Like they told me they are a small mom and Pop shop. They don’t pay good price for your hard earned materials.
Sold a lot of scrap over the years here. Not what it use to be for sure. Wouldn't buy catalytic converter Wouldn't accept bill of sale(TITLE), with me being on it as new buyer, as proof of new ownership. Good thing they didn't buy it, because I went to Port St Lucie recycling and got double what they offered me.
Very vague over the phone regarding price per pound to recycle, but I disregarded as I was trying to reduce waste and support local businesses. Once I hauled things down I was told they only accept cash. Would have been good business practice to explain the need-to-know basics over the phone before wasting a trip.
Excellent place to do business, the BEST in Stuart. The prices that I receive from the cashier are always the same as the quote from the guy weighing my scrap. The guys are very helpful off loading my scrap, they're a bunch of good, hard working men. The ladies that cash me out are always a pleasure.
I'm far from a professional scrapper or anything, but whenever I find myself with copper wire or a pile of aluminum I ALWAYS come here! Their pricing is exactly what I expect, since I always check around a bit before I come in. I've never had them miss categorize any of the weird stuff I've brought them over the years. The staff is always friendly, especially for a scrap place!
I've been going to this scrap for years now and I can honestly say they are the worst recycling facility I have ever been to my first complaint was a few months ago when I bring in a large load of #1 grade copper insulated wire. The receipt read 348 pounds of #2 insulated which infuriated me I received 95$ and change for what should of been several hundred dollars worth of wire. When I tried to complain about it they said the wire was already sold off to their upper hand dealers which I thought was highly convenient for them considering it filled up the entire back of my wife's car and was obviously highly undervalued when looked at. Since then I have been ripped off on brass 13 pounds which I weighed out myself came out to a mere 3$. And also a bucket of number 1 grade copper which weighed 23 pounds and I stripped myself for hours bring in only 17$ I will never bring my scrap here again it is absoulutely not worth your time and money.
They are straight crooks and thieves. Just took what should of been a $100 load and was paid $28. Was told that my BARE BRIGHT COPPER was copper #2, my CLEAN YELLOW BRASS was low grade brass, and my 6 and 8 gauge INSULATED #1 was insulated #2. They even put my stuff in the CORRECT piles right there in front of me!!! If I were to blatently steal from someone like that, I'd be in jail right now!!! I will never return to this lying, stealing, crooked business!!!
I have had nothing but great experiances with this company. They are honest, friendly and very helpful. They are family owned and their care for the local people and businesses is truly inspiring. Thank you guys for all you do.
The biggest rip offs in town from now on I will drive the extra distance to get the rite price for my scrap wire. I had a roll of 18 gage solid copper wire was given their B.S #3 price of .24 cents a pound . Really! This place need to be put out of business.
Rude father, rude daughter, tried to rip me off and lie about the price of aluminum recycling. Told me it was $0.05 a pound .... it's more like $0.50 a pound. Don't bring your stuff to this place

Very upset i will never go there agin .ill take my scrap to fort pierce where at least I wont be treated like an idiot i know the diffrence between coper and brass.This isnt the first time i got ripped off there but it will be the last. beware
