Love this scrap yard but very disappointed that I showed up at the gate at 4 and it was closed and everything was shut.. is it gonna continue to close at 4 or stay open to 4:30 like it’s supposed too…
Drove 30 min in traffic, arrived at 4:24 with 8 rotors to turn in which would take all of 30 seconds to unload and they said they were closed. Great customer service. Will never be back.
Bunch of crackheads. Rip you off by saying scrap is painted when it's not. Don't trust they will do the right thing. Common sense doesn't apply to these people Look at your receipt closely before cashing out.
I'm giving this company five stars. I use them twice and both times they treated me integrity and respect. I got top dollar for my merchandise. I had a short conversation with the owner and I found him to be a very nice man.
If it was still Capital scrap I would love it but lately since they taking over SA recycling has not done a good job with prices but that's what happens when corporations take over a family-owned business I wish it was still Capital scrap where you got to talk to an owner and finagle prices now there is no negotiating what they pay is what they pay it's the closest non-ferrous yard to me but it's always a surprise with prices every time I go now but compared to the other non-ferrous yards in the area they pay better then Stuart recycling
Everyone was absolutely fantastic until I proceeded to the payout window. Katie behind the counter I believe her name was Katie required me to takeoff my head and my glasses twice so she could get my picture because she couldn’t do it right the first time and even tilting my hat back was not good enough for her I’m an older woman, and if I have a hat on because my hair is all messed up, so she humiliated me twice making me take my hat and glasses off, which by the way even the DMV allows me to keep them on. She was just absolutely rude to me. Everyone before her was great, but I will not be back because I was treated horribly by her.
Guess it depends on the day you come in. Not a pro scrapper. Had a decent load of aluminum. Claimed it was only 11 pounds. But it squated my truck. Guess they need the money more than I do. Probably last time I bother with scrap.
It's very convenient and the employees were helpful. The only thing I was concerned about was getting a flat tire. They should grade and clean the area where you drop of your scrap.
(This review was when it was Capital )..I Went to Capital metal a Long time ago.. I was treated absolutely respectful friendly service and I didn't feel like I got ripped off. Very nice people and a very nice place. I went there today with some scrap to sell that I had from my house. I removed a hot tub heater and had some other copper items from the roof etc. The copper and the aluminum was no problem but the pool heater was a problem because it's regulated as far as what they are allowed to take without proof of ownership. It's difficult and I understand they are just doing their job so I had to find a way to create a letter while I was there and give it to them so that they could prove to the sheriff's department they were doing their job. They also gave my kids free t-shirts which I thought was really nice.
New ownership s&a recycling.....sucks
This new company will nickel and dime you out of your scrap metal, not very friendly, long waits been there 3 hours plus several times over the last three or four visits.
Would not recommend taking any recyclable products here
People working there to help the venders is great. I have been to all the yards and I rate this one tops. Justin . Patrick. Bob as all the men and women who work here try to always make each vender as important as if they were friends for a long time. This says Bailey.
So I was disappointed initially because of how and where I had to drop off the aluminum I brought in. However the price per lb compared to Stuart Recycling was well worth it - got $82 more than stuart recycling - love that especially when trying to make the most of your hard work getting it.
I love this place and what they do to help save our planet. They take every kind of metal and can help you identify it. Katie in the office was extremely helpful and friendly over the phone and in person. Ignasio is the leader who controls the weighing, he is quiet friendly, and focused on his job, and I trust he is doing a fair job, all the people working there speak highly of him as a boss. I have one person in particular Patrick who has helped me several times and he always has good tips on how to tell what types of metal I have and how to maximize the money by taking out steel screws from other metal parts to make the pay a higher dollar IF I choose to, it's not necessary. They are a very busy operation but never too busy to help the person like me who doesn't have a whole truck load of stuff. My main motivation is to stop items from unnecessarily going to the landfill and can be recycled into something new, and the money I receive goes into my Grandma Fund and I use it to do fun things for my 5 grandchildren. I highly recommend this facility and the great people who work there. Helping save the planet a little bit every day!
P.S. I just called to get Patrick's name so I could acknowledge how helpful he is and spoke to Elliot who has recently transferred to this location, he was also very pleasant and helpful!
Work for OES , we do flatbed work and I loaded here on 8/14/20. Very clean yard, bales were not bad in regards to possibly ripping up straps and everyone there was very helpful! Scrap metal isnt an ideal day but this was a good instance. Katie in the office is amazing and on a 100 degree day after strapping down couldnt stop offering me water. Very nice place.
It's a pleasure to do business with Capital, I'm on a first name basis with everyone that works there. They put personality in the the scrap business. It's also good that they take all scap metals. One stop for all metals, so convenient!
Great place to bring your scrap unwanted metals. Friendly cashier named Katie she’s the best she always makes you smile when you leave. Love going there and seeing them all it’s so hard to depart to get more scrap cause they make you smile or get you to laugh while unloading or cashing you out. Always helpful staff at the scale, the guys out in field helping you unload and forklift helpers are very well knowledgeable of all metals. I would recommend bringing your unwanted metals to them for the highest paying Money.
Everybody here is so nice and friendly. I can not say enough about them. This place makes a dirty job much easier. Ignacio and Katie are always eager to help and no matter how busy they are, they make you feel like you are the only person there!

I was told I get get premium pricing due to the amount of scrap metals I would be scrapping. Instead they gave me lower prices than all the other places in town. I had specifically spoke with Rob before I sent my son and father . There was a difference of opinions on the brass. My father has been in scrap all of his life said it was clean. They claimed it was dirty and will no explination paid me for dirtly which is at least a $1.00 less. Do not trust this business! They refused to correct the issue when I went back to them.

Our scrap was clean but you had already supposedly processed it. You condemed all of ours with out offering to give it back any dirty which is common practise. We know our scrap was not dirty.
Then someone associated with your company "kenshinpk himura" gave us a one star on google. There is also two other fictional characters that gives you good reviews " Kokiri Kid" and "Metalman DU" .
Out of 10 reveiws there are 3 made up reviewers that have the same exact reviews for you and one other place, and and three 1 stars from real people that will never use your dishonest company. You can delete them all I have the screenshots.
This will all be reported to google. This site is for an honest reviews. I have the email from google to me and my resposes to your fictional review which has now been deleted as of this morning.

I got low balled on my copper and a attitude when i tried to correct it i got 8.40 for16 lbs of copper i won't be back a shame because its a good place to scrap !thanks gilbert. update they corrected the problem i will be going back thank you rob and the capital metal team you guys rock# 1 scrap yard in my book
