Excellent service at St. James Auto. Rob, the new manager, is very professional and helpful. The service was fast, the estimate took only a few minutes, and my car was handled immediately. Very clean and well-organized shop. Definitely coming back!
Best place on Pine Island to get your service done corretly. They can do almost any repair at a fair price and you are treated with the most friendly manager, Rob!!
First time using SJ Auto. Just had a small repair completed there. Booked an appt last week. Dropped the car off at 9 as scheduled completed by noon. Service manager was polite and professional. Will return in the future.
1 week for an oil change , and they doubled the price from 3 months ago....who does that?. Then you have this nasty new manager who looked like he was gonna jump over the counter when i questioned the price. Ever since Brian and Shaun left, this place is terrible.

I had an estimate from Shaun when he was still there, and it was changed. So ,your prices have changed, or you just decided to charge us more. And yes, My Grandfather Tom has been coming there for years., but not anymore. Also, why do you have a manager working there with 4 charges on his record?. 2 of them are for domestic battery?.
St. James Automotive was such a great place until Brian, and then Shaun, moved on. It was an honest and fair place. Now, the owner has jacked the labor rate sky high and hired a manager that seems so sketchy that I did a little googling and found quite the questionable past. I won't be going back. There goes the last of the good mechanics on the island.
I don't think id be bragging about hiring someone with 4 arrests on his record ( 2 of them being domestic Violence charges)
Also, i was a customer, and Pine Island is cheaper.........i guess we cant rely on a truthful statement considering the aforementioned..
The guys here know their stuff very reasonable in their prices and get the job done fast and get it done.Right the first time. Very happy with everybody here.The staff is friendly and listen to your needs and act upon your needs and do a great job.Keep it up guys

This rating is only for the online. " make an appointment" feature on their website. I tried Sunday, march 09, asking for Oil change, tire rotation Tuesday morning, march 11.
No reply, no indication of receipt of message, nada.
This shop comes highly recommended by an island resident. I'm tourist at koa.
I drove down to see if they had my request and to get a status update. Clerk behind the counter said only that she was booking service for nxt week.
So I'd drop this on line service.
I have a few more days on island so I'll drive down tomorrow, wednesday and see if I can get in nxt week.

I have always loved St. James Automotive and the work that they do, but the addition of Alex and her smiling face at the front desk has made it seem more welcoming! Keep up the good work!!
If you need your car or truck fixed this is where you need to bring it !!! The only problem is there are a busy place but they know how to fix your car or truck !!! And will fit you in.
I have an older Honda Pilot. Shawn put a drive shaft and many other parts that I didn’t know I had problems with. At a far price I might add.

So, just before 4th of July, The wife and I moved our daughter to Pine Island for a new career. That's 13 hours from home. Of course we started having serious front end issues on her car.
We noticed Pine Island actually had a few auto repair shops with high ratings & good reviews. St. James Auto had the highest rating and we liked the reviews as they seemed genuine. So it was an easy choice, especially since we're antique lovers and animal lovers. B T W - the grey tabby shop cat is a real laid back love bug.
The shop had a lot of regular customers ahead of us since it was a Holiday week, but they understood my urgent situation. I dropped it off Tuesday, he diagnosed it, had it back to me Wednesday afternoon. He knew we needed our daughters car back on Wednesday so we could leave for home on Thursday morning and he came through for us.
When you dump your 25 year old little girl 13 hours from home, it's good to know she has a team of mechanics that will take care of her rather than take advantage of her. We had some major damage and replacement to the front brakes and it was just over $500. I was expecting much more.

What an awesome experience! Our Tahoe was overheating on the way to spring break pulling the boat and being miles away from home we did not have much of a choice close to where we stayed. These guys were extremely helpful and worked us in the schedule knowing we would be stranded after spring break with out them. If I lived in Cape Coral or anywhere near St. James I would be taking my car to them! Thank you guys for the assist and working to get us back on the road.
I was doing volunteer work on the island and my tire pressure warning went off. I pulled in and asked if they could check my tires. Shawn was kind enough to check all 4 tires and top them them off. Thank you for helping me out!!!

Stopped in for a low tire just wanting to get some air. Never expected he would pull the tire, find the nail and fix the hole. Talk about customer service! Small town at its finest! In and out in less 15 min. Thanks for being great!
We were able to bring in our vehicle the day after we called to fix our air conditioning. After dropping it off at 8 am, it was ready by 3:45 pm the same day! Cost was extremely reasonable. Very friendly and professional, we couldn’t be more happy. We highly recommend them!

We were staying in St. James City for several months and needed to have a strange issue with our truck sporadically not starting with turning the key. The owner kept our truck until he found the issue and it has now worked flawlessly. We also had new tires put on the truck and they were great for our long drive back home. Great service, would highly recommend.
I travel apx 20 to 30 miles for my vehicles to be superbly taken care of and am so happy to have found them. Brian is the only one I trust with them and I do love my vehicles as he well knows, he is the best and the establishment is well worth my trip.
I am an ex mechanic and this is the "Best" auto shop I have ever gone too. They never try and to sell me anything I don't need ...wish I could give them 10 stars . The crew are all exceptionally well trained and they take great care of all my vehicles. I recommend them to everyone!
We have had our vehicles up for routine service about 3 times since we moved here last year. They are always accomodating, friendly and reasonably priced. Love the office cat!
I love these guys. They are very honest. Maybe they aren't the cheapest but they do it right. I trust them. I've been taking my cars there for many years.
If you're looking for reliability, an intelligent diagnosis, trustworthy mechanics; your search is over. While it's quite a hike to get to them even when on Pine Island, their week in advance scheduled appointment speaks volumes on their popularity and repeat business. From air in your tires to transmission rebuilt, if it's got an engine they can fix it, they have the expertise and ASE certifications to prove it. I've been going to these guys for years, and so has everyone I've suggested them to. Never had a problem after the fact, always fixed it the right the first time, and are willing to explain exactly what's what without a guilt trip or treating you like an idiot. Rates are either at or below industry standards, and work is usually repaired on the day (depending on issue of course). You can go to a closer mechanic shop, but here you won't have to worry about pushy mechanics upselling you on some sort of "routine" fuel injection cleaning, or adding on repairs you never asked for, or taking their sweet time on something that could very well take money out of your pocket every hour it's out of commission. They know how important your vehicle is to you and would rather have a happy costumer than just another sale.
