This place stole my car and all the belongings in it. They took my car before the date it was supposed to be picked up and never called me nor did they ship my belongings back. Lawsuit coming soon

I have been in the automotive business for 30 years. If i could give them a negative star I would. I have never dealt with any company like this. They use a Natural disaster to milk millions off of customers. Then they way over charge in fees but offer no service. You can't even get ahold of them by phone. Don't do business withe these guys. Your better off buying from your neighbors.
Took 3 days to get someone to contact me after repeatedly calling them about my car that had been towed after the hurricane in Fort Myers. We had scheduled for them to get it on a Monday specifically so I could clean it out, they took it the Friday before without informing me, with all of my belongings still in it. Told me I could retrieve my things in Clewiston, an hour and a half drive from where I am. Went up to Clewiston and they told me everything had likely been dumped. Called insurance to talk with them about it with IAA on the line, they called me back a few hours later to inform me they just found out my stuff was in Fort Myers (after having been told multiple times it was in my car in Clewiston). Finally got a couple of my things back after two weeks of contacting them. Hope whoever took my skates enjoys them, thanks for the awful service. I've had better communication with non-verbal infants.
After reading the reviews I felt the need to write one as well. Fred Morgan and crew do a great job at scheduling, dispatching and prepping vehicles for sale. As for others complaining about hold time for call in, yes it may be long however its a small branch with limited personnel. If you opt to email they will respond to you. I appreciate the service and thanks for handling our vehicles.
Poor service. They don’t answer the phone. After 2 days of calling, being on hold for hours, using the call back feature, I went there. The manager Fred was rude and unhelpful. They refused to release the car even though the owner was there and had the insurance company on the phone authorizing the release of the car. They would not provide payment information to the owner although they said that payment was needed before anything could be released. The insurance company was waiting for the payment amount for 3 days as there was no answer when they tried to call as well. IAA is a horrible company with Horrible customer service.
