I called this company a on June 23 2025 and was treated in, my opinion, very disrespectfully. The man I spoke to was very rude and dismissive. After I tried to describe my issue with my Cadillac Lyriq and asked for an appointment he told me that an appointment would not be available and he “was not sure when he’d able to get to” my issue. I can’t explain why any serious collision business would deliberately turn away a potential brand new customer other as a pretext for discrimination. You would expect that a legitimate business would at least ask you to come in so they take a look at your problem. Clearly a discriminatory business and you can be sure that you’ve just lost some potentially good business due to your discriminatory treatment of me over the phone.
10/10 would reccomend American Collision to anyone with their car repairs! The whole process was smooth, timely, and my car came out better than I even expected. Bob is amazing at getting back to his customers within a reasonable time & answering all their questions. My whole trunk was destroyed from a car accident & my repairs came out amazing! I truly would recommend choosing this place if they have the room for you, you will NOT regret it! I will definitely be coming back if I ever need a repair. American collision is also VERY reasonable in pricing.
After reading his reviews I felt more comfortable sending my vehicle here after a collision than any big name shop. The whole process was smooth, timely, and came out better than any expectations I could have foreseen. I would highly recommend this shop to anybody in need of repair and will only be coming back here from now on.
I brought my car to American Collision because my mom recommended them since her car was put back together so well, so that is what I did. This is the second time I have had this car’s body repaired. The first time was shortly after I bought the car when I rear-ended someone and had it taken to a dealership for repairs. The dealership returned my new car that looked more used than new. When I got the car back from American Collision it looks like a new car again and the repair bill was less than the original estimate. I will be sure to recommend Bob to anyone who asks me where I would get my car’s body repaired.
I took my 2017 Azera to Bill, the Owner of American Collision. He replaced my front bumper. The repair and paint job was PERFECT!
Turnaround time was 3 days. The best part was that his quote was 14% less than Caliber Collision. He has been in business at the same location for 43 years. I highly recommend him!
How lucky am I to end up at American Collision! I had an accident with my 2001 Chrysler Concord and was towed here…Bob and his wife are the nicest people ever! Although very very busy, Bob got right to work finding the parts he needed to fix my car…from all over the country! He personally drove me to a car rental place! We cannot praise Bob Root the owner of American Collision enough. We thought we were down and out when our insurance company set us up with a national collision firm in Cape Coral to fix our rear end collision damage. We were told by them that it would be two months before they could work on the car at all; they wouldn't order parts ahead of time; and they wanted to keep the car for a month at least. Not only that but the woman who was out of the office that day was supposed to call the next day to set up our appointment. We waited two weeks and never heard a word. They had done an estimate that we truly questioned as being too low as well. We only had one car and our rental reimbursement was $30. a day for 25 days.
That's when a miracle happened---a neighbor told us about American Collision! He had had a truck and a car repaired there and was extremely happy with Bob's work. We immediately went to American Collision and Bob went over the previous estimate with us and examined the car. The other national collision firm had missed a very obvious rail that needed to be replaced to the tune of almost $1000.
Bob knew we only had the one car and worked hard to make our repair time as short as possible. He ordered all of the parts ahead of time and didn't take the car into the shop until he had all of them in hand. Even though he did a little extra work above and beyond the estimate, he didn't increase his billing to the insurance company nor for the personal repairs that we asked him to do which we paid for out of pocket. His work is impeccable and his honesty and integrity and thoughtfulness remind me of how things were done back in the 50's and 60's when we didn't even have to lock our doors. We hope we never have another accident but Bob at American Collision would be the first one we'd call if we did.

Friendly local service at its best. The owner helped with estimates and re-quotes on work that needed to be done . He was very informative with different options we could take with repairs and how the process with a salvage title works.

Auto Colision repair is most often complex .. Thus, knowledge, experience and skill are absolute necessities for getting the job done right and absolute requirements for a very competitive industry.
As well, Bob, the owner and person you will speak with at American Collision, is straightforward and honest. That was very apparent.

I entrusted American Collision with my Range Rover after a collision and was surprised to find the Shop open on a Saturday. Bob, the owner, promptly greeted me and within very few minutes provided me with a detailed quote. I went to 3 other body shops and for various reasons truly felt most comfortable with American Collision. Bob surpassed my expectations, his repair is truly similar to a factory finish completion, the vehicle was returned fully washed too. I found parts that I didn't think would be replaced but Bob assured a beautiful job. First of all let me echo how phenomenal Bob is. After my ordeal with Caliber Collision I called him and he quickly explained the procedures to me. it took him three business days to repair the vehicle (2008 X5 gold) that the other shop kept for more than 12 days and did nothing.
The work quality is excellent and Bob exceeded my expectations even with the date of repair. Should I need any repair, I definitely will return to Bob. So far the most honest I have met in the Fort Myers area so far.

American Collision is the real deal! I recently had my car repainted by AC and I have to say that I was blown away with the results. AC takes pride in their work and it is sadly a very rare thing now a days. I will be taking all my paint and body needs to AC for now on. Need paint or body work? Give AC a call you will be happy you did. On top of an excellent paint job I was also greeted with great customer service. Price was right on the money too =).
