We needed a box truck in a collision repaired. I reckoned it would take a month just to get the parts. These guys had the truck repaired in a week. The staff is highly professional and the guys who work behind the scene as well. I'm impressed. Have no problem recommending these guys.
First time doing a google review which I feel the need to do because of the experience I had…I had a great experience at Gene’s Auto. I was in an accident so they towed my car and repaired it. Price was affordable, the repair looks great, and the few people I spoke with were knowledgeable, nice, and responsive.
Thank you Genes Auto for help me with my car issues last week. My car broke down and was going out of town the following day. They towed it, repaired it, and stored the vehicle for a fair price for a few days till I was back in town.
I had a great experience with Genes. Their customer service was excellent, and their prices were reasonable compared to other towing companies I’ve dealt with in the past. Rick and Irwin were professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth. They arrived quickly, handled my vehicle with care, and even took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s not often you find a towing company that combines great service with fair pricing, but this one does. Highly recommend if you ever need a tow!
Gene's is a trusted autobody of mine. I go there for my oil changes because there is more accountability at a small shop versus a large, corporate shop. Corporate shops like dealers have employees come and go like water, so they might not take the care to make sure the correct oil goes in or make sure the tires are rotated correctly and the bolts are tightened. At Gene's they care about the service they put out because it isn't just "another" car, it's your car. They understand that where as a dealer just treats them like cattle. I definitely recommend using Gene's. I ask a bunch of questions and they always ask their lead mechanic, Rich, when they do not know the answer of the top of their head. I cannot thank them enough and will continue to use them in the future.
These reviews are all over the place. I guess it comes down to what driver you get for your call? You usually can't plan what tow company you are going to get in a road emergency. I got Irvin. He deserves more than 5 Stars! He was professional, personable, polite, and knew exactly what he was doing. He arrived completely prepared for the tow job, and quickly improvised a relatively complex plan to get the job done to my satisfaction. Pricing was fair, and quoted accurately for the service provided. Heather in the office (my initial contact point) was equally delightful. Great job!
Came across Gene’s by chance. Had no idea that they did all that they do. I think the name threw me off since they are listed as “Gene’s Towing”. But make no mistake, they were full service. Misty was a pleasure to work with and Rick and Nick were incredibly helpful with getting me taken care of. Service was fast and friendly! I highly recommend them!
If I could give zero stars I would. Don’t waste your time with this company. They don’t even know their own pricing or have the ability to relay clear information on pricing or their policies. They just add new ‘rules’ as you go along. Certainly not helpful or conducive. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and get a receipt as some of their business is ‘cash only’ and seems exceptionally shady. And when you go to pay all of a sudden their ‘pricing recently went up’ and now it’s more.
They towed my car that broke down, all my doors were locked when i left it. when i return to the car on their lot, my tools were missing and the car was obviously searched, trash thrown in the floorboards with the floor mats on top, upside down.. they even re locked the doors but left the obvious remains of the car being gone through. I'm furious about my missing stuff. don't leave your car alone with them if you value your stuff, or remove anything you care about before they pocket it
I had a disappointing experience with Gene's Auto Shop. The staff was consistently rude and unresponsive. I repeatedly called for updates on my car but couldn't get through to anyone. When I walked into the shop, the front desk staff ignored me.
I was given a quote and paid half upfront. When the work was completed, I paid in full, only to be informed that additional work was needed. Despite this, my car still isn't running correctly. When I called to discuss the issues, they showed no concern and even blamed me for the problems.
The next day, my car wouldn't crank, and they again shifted blame instead of taking responsibility. Overall, I'm deeply dissatisfied with the service and lack of professionalism at Gene's Auto Shop.
Stay Far Away: Gene's Auto Frame & 24hr Towing - A Nightmare Experience!
I wish I could give Gene's Auto Frame & 24hr Towing zero stars. My recent encounter with this so-called "company" was nothing short of a nightmare. After my car was involved in an accident, I had the misfortune of having it towed by Gene's. Little did I know that this decision would lead to a series of distressing events.
First and foremost, their towing service is exorbitantly priced, taking advantage of people in vulnerable situations. But that's just the beginning of their scheme. Once they had my vehicle in their possession, they conveniently couldn't pick up the phone, conveniently leaving me in the dark about where my car was and what was happening to it.
Days turned into weeks, and each time I attempted to reach out for information, I was met with evasive responses and downright hostility from their staff. It became evident that Gene's wasn't interested in providing a legitimate service but rather in extorting money from unsuspecting customers.
To add insult to injury, they even had the audacity to claim ownership of my vehicle, demanding absurd fees for its release. It felt like I was trapped in some twisted scam, with Gene's holding my car hostage until I coughed up an exorbitant ransom.
If you value your sanity and your hard-earned money, steer clear of Gene's Auto Frame & 24hr Towing. They are nothing more than a predatory operation preying on the misfortunes of others. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable towing service that won't leave you feeling like you've been taken for a ride in more ways than one.
We used Genes towing for 2 box trucks and 1 car over 2 days.
The staff at the office and on the site were very easy to work with. One of the trucks was in a very tough place to get it out of. They were patient and was able to get it safely.
All 3 vehicles were delivered as promised and timely.

Had my truck stuck in the mud in a very hard to reach area. They showed up extremely promptly and when the first truck could maneuver to get mine out, they called a bigger truck right away. Got my truck out with no issues and no damage to my truck! Extremely courteous and good guys doing the work.
Took my 2008 Nissan titan to this place to get my frame pulled they damage my fender on the right side told me they would order me a new one they lied to me. They never ordered the fender Try to fix it looks like the spray painted it Scott is a liar do not trust him. That whole place is a scam.
They say what you pay for is what you get .. and I believe in that strongly .. the gentleman that help me arrive in a timely manner .. complete communication thru the process .. this company was worth every penny for the service they provided.. they help me load a van that did not run on my trailer.. exceptional service..
today October 7th 2022 shortly after hurricane IAN ...Nick and his crew came over to placida Florida not that far away from Boca grande to flip over a boat and put it on a trailer with zero additional damage for a customer that was scheduled ......at the same time both of the guys took time to flip over a 40 ft race car trailer and pull a 40 ft shipping container that rolled out of my boat yard into a field half a football field away with reasonable prices great attitude......NICK is outstanding if I could give it 10 Stars I would hands down these are my kind of folks ..... you can not go wrong with them absolutely outstanding phenomenal good-hearted reasonable people... Love you guys
My rear suspension completely broke off on 41during rush hour and I couldn’t thank Irvin enough for helping me out in the rain!! I was afraid my car will have additional damage but he was very professional and I was amazed by his work and experience..Irvin had my car on the truck with no issues in a speedy 15 minutes. Not only that, my car keys got locked in the car and he took care and of me. THANK YOU IRVIN
Thank you for assisting us in getting one of our trucks towed on a late Friday night. We are located in Casselberry (about 3hrs away) and unfortunately had a truck break down. We called multiple companies in Fort Myers and you were the first to actually answer and get our truck to the shop. We truly appreciate your services.
Having been screwed raw by 4 different repair shops in 3 months I finally remembered that years ago I was maintenance manager for a large brick mfg co and took our semis and company trucks to Gene's for alignment and other services. I took my Mazda pickup there to get the front end aligned AGAIN after being shafted at Old Fashioned auto repair in Lehigh. He aligned the front end, test drove it TWICE and then when he returned the truck told me that the right front tire had a bad belt and needed to be replaced. No one else caught that !!I replaced both front tires and the truck drives beautifully.
These people for years have done the sheriff's cars, county school buses and just do damned good and honest work. Makes me sick I had forgotten about them and got shafted at these other clown shops. Lost a lot of money. You won't go wrong with these people. They know what they are DOING.
I took my Jeep to this shop in October and was told that it wouldn’t take around 3 weeks to pull the frame. They were not able to do estimate right away because bobby was not in. A week later they called me and gave me an estimate and I agreed. After that I herd nothing from them unless I would call and ask. They billed me twice the amount that they quoted me for without telling me anything. No communication from this shop what so ever. We came in to talk about my car when I was picking it up and the lady at the front desk was rude. The manager of the place has no idea what’s going on. The frame guy says he doesn't know anything about pricing. They keep going back and forth. The funniest thing the gal said at the front desk. “Don’t bring totaled cars to us next time”. What’s the shop for?? Please save yourself and avoided this shop.
Great service. Great driver Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. I hit a curb near Ave Maria after driving all the way from Illinois. Insurance company contacted tow services. First two did not arrive after promising they would. Gene's driver (I apologize I did not write down his name) was very courteous and professional. Showed up when he was supposed to. Was very calm and helpful and hauled auto back to our rental house. I was impressed with your service
Absolutely worst experience ever. They make you come in person to pay cash to release a vehicle. Tried several times to pay over the phone. Their claim is that people can walk away and reverse charges. This whole experience is by far the worst customer service I have received. Not sure how you are supposed to carry thousands of dollars in cash with you to get the vehicle I own. Not willing to help or be reasonable in the slightest. Gene, you need to work on your customer service. I strongly do not recommend this company as a choice for services.

I called to inquire about towing services. They provided the pricing up front; even looking up and totaling the mileage to give an accurate quote. The price did not change from the quoted price. They were there within the timeframe promised. Both individuals I spoke with from the company were friendly and professional. The driver was very knowledgeable and did what he said he would do. I would definitely recommend this company.

Originally went there cause an engineer told me to go there after Caliber Collision let me down. Then I was talking about my car accidents with a friend and he said go to Genes. He's a retired engine mechanic that grew up here. He knows the local shops and their employees.
Their towing guys are super nice too. They are a popular shop for a good reason!
I wish I remembered the name of the tow truck driver but I want to commend him for excellent customer service. He is an older gentleman with a mustache/ glasses and has been with the company 20 + years. I was told by my wife that he came out to help her after her work vehicle would not start. They were able to get it started and he offered to follow her to her destination just in case it shut off. He also helped pull my semi truck out awhile back when I got stuck at a construction site after I attempted pulling my truck out with my Moffitt. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of. Gene's has always and continues to be a great company, highly recommend!
My car had some trouble starting so I called Gene's and they came in a timely manner. He was reassuring and had my car towed in no time. The pricing was great seeing as I had to get it towed to Lehigh Acres. I will definitely recommend them to friends. Great job
I needed to have my front bearings pressed into my wheel hubs & installed on my vehicle. I took my van to Gene's for an estimate. I was told the work could be done the next morning & I was given a price in writing. The next day I showed up first thing in the morning. I stayed and waited in the office area and did some work on my computer while my van was being serviced. I experienced a friendly atmosphere and warm environment at Gene's throughout my visit. My van was completed as stated & the price was actually a little less than what I was quoted as the mechanic stated I did not need a service which I thought I did. Overall, I had an incredible experience & would highly recommend Gene's.
