We had a good day at the local scrap yard.
My boss sent us in with a trailer full of steel. We had no idea there were that many different types of steel. At any rate, we learned today. The guy in the magnet gave us a rundown on how it worked and what was what and why. The way he picked the beams off the trailer while leaving the buckets was nothing short of amazing.
My boss was happy because we got more money than expected.
If you have steel to recycle, this is the place to go. Definitely a step up from the other scrap yard.
I wanted to take a minute to give a shout out to the guy in the steel yard. Honestly at first I thought he was gonna be trouble. I thought he might be an Aryan.
We cleaned up a large lot and had a trailer full of steel equipment. We had no idea how to go about it but he explained everything in detail and got us way more money than we expected. He helped by picking things off the trailer individually.
It was really a sight to see considering how large the machine is and how tedious it seemed. He made it look easy. We had a good day. As far as appearances... he's a textbook example of why not to judge a book by its cover. This guy looks like a time bomb but was so polite and respectful. That's the main reason I wanted to leave this review aside from making the money.
The scales in the back of the scrap yard house very rude customer service people. Between the snotty attitudes and mealy mouths I’m surprised that they still are employed. I guess TMR doesn’t do customer care any longer.
I had a small amount of aluminum. Had never been before and everyone I had contact with was kind, patient and respectful as I tried to navigate. Pleasant experience
Today was the rudest person Patricia B working in the fort myers location. She is an older lady with white hair and a bad attitude. They may want to hope she doesn't cost them business.
4:30 is 4:30. Showed up 10 till with the gates closed. Change your hours or people so customers don't waist the time and gas. Not the first time ither....
Very precious on sorting your metals so you get paid in the correct manner. Absolutely love the staff here, they are highly respectful ( as well as respected among each other in the work place ) and definitely are happy to help make sure you get in and out in an orderly and efficient way.
I use this scrap yard everyday as much as I can. But today I go to drop off sheet iron at the spot by the second house an Joe the dude that has 3 teeth in his mouth he wanted to say some really nasty things when he walked away an then when he got caught saying something by another guy an my wife he magically didn't say anything....if this is how you have your your people running your stuff it a shame I guess I'll wight another review when he is delt with
Don't go they continue ripping off customers. Turned in my 5 gallon bucket with full clean nbr 2 coppers they tried me for $50 told them cancel the sale!! Return my coppers went another place got $400 don't go Trademark they cheat off those steel carts they need be thrown out all thumbs down!!!
Go to "Mome Metals Recycling" and "Allied Recycling" or "All Scrap". They are 4-7min away. They pay better and have better reviews. I have my own junk removal business for the past 5+ years. This review is mainly because of the two older women that have been there for many years when it used to be Garden Street. I actually stopped going there because they made me and my drivers feel unwelcomed ( majority of us are Latino). I decided to go back and see if the new management ( trademark) improved training so they can provide better customer service without being prejudice. It's still the same. I'll come back maybe in another year to see if it's better. New management please consider making some changes. I never recommend to my hundreds of customers, friends, family or other local businesses to go to your location.
I've been here a few times back when it was Garden Street and just recently started coming back around. It's definitely under new management, and it's seems like for the better . The staff at the weigh stations are always nice and greet you with a smile, and everyone there is just all around friendly.
Great people. Always friendly. Will continue to go back there. A lot has changed unless you're a regular customer it's kinda hard to navigate around. But everyone is helpful
Hands down Top of the line recycling location. If you have steel I definitely suggest scraping it here. The guy running the magnet looks a little intimidating but you can't judge a book by its cover. Probably the nicest and most respectful guy I've met in a long time. He was very informative on how to get the most money for my material. He promptly ushered us to a safe location with shade and then the extravaganza began. He used a massive electromagnetic crane and systematically removed all the steel off of our trailer without even stirring up dust. His abilities were uncanny. It's as if he's hardwired into the machine. Like a ninja with a sword or a feather in the wind. It was a truly unique experience and we're so happy to have seen that.
He saved us from hours of back-breaking labor so we offered him a tip...but he respectfully declined.
We can't wait to to go back.
If you're scraping metals I suggest you head to TMR.... and if you have steel it'll be a day you never forget.
I've come to scrap here a couple of times. friendly staff not very informative thou so don't expect a break down in whats the most effective way to get the best price. Highly recommend organizing what you have before hand and double check your tickets on what your being priced on. Best prices here thou for sure.
Last week I had two full carts of aluminum one clean...one unclean I got $167. Today I had 3n half carts ALL CLEAN and got $155. I got to window asked the Hispanic clerk for a record check of my other visits. I felt something wasn't right. She told me "I can't do that" she didn't volunteer telling me how I could get it. I've left messages and all no response besides on w MsTrace. She says because I left n didn't get it straight then there's nothing she can do.she didn't volunteer how to get this fixed either.
I visited today for the first time and will not come back. The staff treat the customer as if they could boss you around. They said they could not pay me for a car chair because it still had the foam attached but if I wanted I could leave it for free. So I did. On my way out the lady in the cabin yells at me to go back. I go back and it was all so THAT the skinny, toothless RUDE low-life that was there could yell at me and tell me that it is not his job to put it in the huge pile of metal that the tractor with the claw was putting metal on. He pretty much bossed me around and yelled at me in front of all his low-life buddies. NEVER GOING BACK!
Yesterday I called to have a vehicle picked up to scrap. I was asked numerous questions about the car and let them know many parts are already missing. It was scheduled to be picked up the next day. The driver came to pick up the car and I followed him to the yard. Upon arrival he showed me where the outside office shed was. The lady inside came out and looked at the car and it looked like a heated one way conversation with the driver. Her hands were flying and ponytail a shaking no no no. Although i couldn't hear the conversation it wasn't pretty. Ponytail then approached me and it reminded me of a talk with a ex wife. She raised her voice letting me know THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE CAR. THIS CAR SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN TOWED HERE. THAT IS NOT A ENGINE IT'S A BLOCK !
I WOULD NEVER HAD THIS TOWED HERE IT IS UNSAFE . YOU Will ONLY GET 7 DOLLARS A POUND ! I don't remember everything else she screamed at me but it was very unprofessional . I told her I don't know the rules I've never scraped a car before .
The driver didn't have a problem with the car just said he didn't know he was picking up a shell. He was very professional and courteous. I really don't understand the treatment I received today as a customer.
Yesterday was a trying day....car died and had to be towed away. Marcy in the office was amazing on the phone and in person. Lisa in the office made the process easy for someone who didn't know what to do and Eric the Tow Truck Driver was beyond words! Helpful, caring, understanding and made this trying situation for me at least bearable. All three showed compassion to me and treated me as a friend, not just a customer.
My husband give this place more than 5 stars. Amazing, clean, great inventory, wonderful staff and most important the savings. Came from NJ and never seen a salvage yard look this good. Thumbs up

I want to say that Victor takes excellent customer service to a new level! He was great helping us with scrapping a car that we had that finally gave up on us. Not having the time or want to have to deal with the problem we had, he made the experience painless and quick. Not only was he great but this place is the best! To me it was amazing experience. First time in my life I was selling my beloved car for scrap. I was dealing with a real gentleman David, who lead me through the process of selling with a professional attitude.
