I don't know if his new management or new owners went there twice in the last year got ripped off went there again they tried telling me that an extruded aluminum was old sheet are raised hell they kicked me off the property but going there 20 years will never go back again!
If you want an easy experience, You scrap being called actually what it is instead of what they're going to tell you it is, and a good price I'd go to ALL SCRAP on Ortiz !!!!!!!!!
Horrible experience today went in this morning with Copper and a catalytic converter and they gave me .66 cents for a catalytic converter I would highly recommend checking other scrap companies around they straight out ripped me off. Lost almost 60 to 70 dollars because you have incompetent people working there. Straight theft
This is a fabulous place to take al your scrap metals! They are extremely kind and understanding! The pay top dollar for all your metals! Personally I only take in copper, aluminum, brass and wire as I don't have a trailer to haul loads of metal! I have been faithful to them for at least a year. I tried other scrap yards they are rude and do not help you with anything ! Allied is the way Togo for me!! Hope you will feel the same!!

Wake me up was really fast moving I had about four cars in front of me and I was still in and out of there in about 15-20 minutes when you go to the back to dump other metals than copper or aluminum do they have you go on a scale and then to the back of the lot it is very wet and muddy so be prepared then you go back after dumping it on another scale find get a receipt and your money competitive pay fair prices
This was a good scrap yard now it's a joke they scam you out of money if you don't know the codes .....I took a whole truck an trailer load in multiple times of aluminum sheet an he tried to get me every time he keeps saying wrong code .....so why not put in right code or stop scamming people.....I would rather my metal go in the trash than bring here .......

It's been very nice to feel like I can trust them and don't have to worry about them ripping me off like THE BIG JUNK YARDS. BEEN GOING TO THEM FOR 3 YEARS NOW. Brought in 480 lbs of mixed but clean scrap, mostly steel and aluminum, but also some retired AC equipment. Was paid $0.06 per lb. $29 total... and picked up 3 screws in my tires in their yard. I couldn't find any publicly posted rates for materials when I tried to verify I was paid the correct amount and when I sent messages asking for their materials rates and telling them about my experience, they stopped responding to me. Dealing with them ended up costing me money. Next time I'll go somewhere else.
I went here after hurricane Ian because they were paying 20 cents more than garden street. But boy am I sorry I decided to go here. I got ripped off and some very shady things went on. I’ve been in the screen and pool cage business for 6 years so I know the weight of this material.That’s 2 days of hard work cleaning all that just to get shorted. I’m very disappointed in this place. Especially taking advantage after such a devastating event like hurricane Ian.
Great place to make a quick buck on some aluminum and copper also you don't need to clean the wires you can take it in fully insulated they won't pay you as much but it's more work for them so it's understandable. Also be patient those guys are working hard and deal with a lot of other customers so patience is definitely a virtue. They are people just like you and I so be kind and understanding.
Excellent service from the guys here at Allied! Best scrapyard in town& it's the only one we recycle with now! I'm actually looking to sell a junk car but have to figure out towing. Needing to sell immediately if any recommendations on how to get it there! Also would love a list of items accepted, if available! Keep up the awesome work our friends!
The people who work here are very shady. They tried to take advantage of the fact that I was younger and thought I would just go with it. I was very clear when I said I had steal, dirty aluminum and a a lot of clean aluminum/copper and radiators. I dumped my steel weighed off and asked were to go for aluminum and copper as it was my first time at this scrap yard. Two different workers tried to tell me to just throw it in with the steel!!! CLEAN copper and aluminum over 25 truck radiators 8 or 9 aluminum rims !!! I’ll just wait and until garden street is open this week and get paid. I tried to give this place a chance but it’s horrible.
Discrepancies on grade of the material I brought in & paid me the lowest grade on scale for it. I learned to ask what grade they'll pay BEFORE unloading then to find out they pay way under other competition. I mistakenly went back this past Saturday & received HALF of what I would have made elsewhere. Won't be going back here. Too bad because I will miss the Haitian man that works back by white goods & PPS#1, He's the best employee they have! Always friendly, kind, patient & always has a beautiful smile.
I just went there they close at 3 PM in their gates close at 2:50 PM. Very nice guys, however, their scale did not work. I weighed 12 pounds of pure copper at home and when I got there they only gave me 4 pounds. I had to go back they weighed again found out that I was right. 60% difference in pay out!!!!
Make sure you wear your stuff before you go there. They may forget to zero the scale for their scale may just not be calibrated.
I love this place. They are always so kind & helpful. I've made the mistake of going somewhere else. That place shld take some lessons on how to treat customers from the guys here.
