This place is afraid of refrigeration units. Broken down, ready to be processed. Denied an ICE MACHINE because it was refrigerated and I didnt have proof of ownership. It's an ice machine.... I do this all the time in Florida. Just lazy.
I have been going to TMR for almost 3 years. After I retired I got into scrapping. I go to 31st Street with my steel once a week. I go to the 6th Street location with my copper, aluminum etc.... Great people at both locations, always greets with a smile. If you have something to recycle go to Trademark you won't be disappointed.
Great people! It does help to prepare/separate your items ahead of time to keep the process moving. Be patient, and you'll add $ to your wallet when you're done.
The staff there was extremely nice and helpful especially since I had never been there before. It takes a while to get through, but it is just the nature of the business. They try really hard to keep it moving.
Context: I am a plumber, who scapes copper and brass and large amounts quite often,
I went today and was very disappointed, the guy working was rude from the moment we got there keep in mind it was over 2500 pounds of copper and brass, not a small amount, he seemed like it was a huge inconvenience for us to be there, also everything we do is organized correctly and gone through and labeled,I have been scrapping copper and brass for over 20 years so we know how to do it the right way, The guy told me I was not allowed to look at the scale so I was unable to see what the scale was reading, he argued every possible thing he could and was extremely rude, I wish I caught the guys name but I didn’t, there was a Hispanic guy who was very nice and helpful, the younger thin black man was the one being extremely unprofessional and aggressive. If he was one of my employees I would fire him immediately, that isn’t how you do business.
I will never go back to this place, I don’t care if I have to drive 2 hours out of my way I will,
the Gainesville office is way better in my opinion. I’m very disappointed and frustrated at the entire situation,
Been sitting at the scale for 30mins. The guy is in there holding up my day. The guys om the inside are the slowest people I've ever seen. If I hadn't just unloaded a mess of metal i would leave and never come back.
They don't clean their concrete pad that they have you unload enough. Tell you to back up next to another vehicle with debris all over the ground just waiting to put a hole in your tires and then laugh about it when it happens.
Took forever. Don't have a proper list of what they can't take due to EPA changes that happened over 2 years ago. They have yet to update the ATM machine. No I don't go often to do business with them. So it would have been nice to know about the changes. They don't say anything about it until you are 6 cars deep in the line. Just not worth the effort.
Gave me 18 bucks for my 300 pounds of aluminum I've been collecting for 2 years,cost me more in gas to take it complete rip off.that would be like 5 cents a pound or less.
This is the absolute worst scrapyard I've ever been to. I've been scrapping since 1990. Customer service is awful. Prices are awful. Grading is awful. Sometimes I drive all the way from Ocala to Palatka just for the better service, prices, and proper grading.
I walk in not being to this business before so I am unaware of their policies. I ask the cashier if they buy scrap wire and she said “yeah pull around and weight it”. I go through the process only to receive a check made out to my company. My company does not want or will not accept the money for wire that I scrapped. I explained this to her and she responded saying “I can’t prove that you didn’t steal it.” I have been to many scrap yards and they ALL pay you out in cash for things that YOU collected. Last I checked, it’s not their job to regulate theft from a company anyway. I didn’t steal anything and it was offensive to even hear that. Anyways I didn’t get any money, my company didn’t get any money, they basically stole my scrap wire. Do not go here in a company vehicle or shirt unless you want to get scammed. Absolute scum.
I DONT RECCOMEND THIS LOCATION, GO TO ORLANDO OR GAINSVILLE BUT THE CASHIER AT THIS PLACE IS RUDE AND USELESS, no communication at all I was told a price over the phone and in person they are trying to pay me less than market price, aside from that they don’t pay you the amount of pounds you bring!!
We arrived at the site, they did not want to pay us in cash and I told them to return the material, I am going to another site and they kept part of it, they did not return it in full, they are not honest.
It was my 1st time here. Showed up at the commercial division by mistake the guy told me that I went to the wrong place but that they are open until 4:00 at the residential facility. He said I should have plenty of time since it was close just up the road but they put up a blockade at 3:45. I showed up at 3:40 they had already put the blockade (scrap bin) up so I went to the window and asked where I can go in because it's blocked. The "help" said "Sorry darlin you are going to have to come back maybe tomorrow or on Saturday, they already put out the bin".
I will see if my review gains stars when I actually get to do business here.
To the owner of Trademark Metals Recycling If you are open until 4 and blockade at 3:45. Please don't put the FN thing out until 3:45. As you know, for people who work for a living sometimes will show up at 3:40 because they finally had a break early enough to make it in time. So they thought .....

Ripped me off. I had weighed my scrap before I had gone, when I left I looked at my receipt and everything was short by a pound and some was 5 pounds short. Never going to this rip off place again. Wish CMC was still open, never had this happen there.
So, twice I have been here and was not compensated properly. The ticket clearly reads that I weigh 880 lbs less, when I left. It also says that equals .39 tons. Who is doing the math, for this place?
I have tried to call, to no avail. They work very hard to avoid talking to you. They also work very hard to screw you. Seller beware.
The employees are rude. And they have given me the wrong info in certain things then turn around and give me the lowest price ever cause if it . Then they didn't pay me for my shreddable steel and when I called they pretty much said to bad .I lost at least $60 on that one .they give absolute lowest price I believe the employees somehow are making a profit off of us. It's a scam
The staff is friendly and helpful. Most times the wait times for going over the scale is not long. They have a great ATM system for payment. Once my turn came they processed my materials quickly.
Don’t appreciate your business. Every staff member was rude and not very helpful. Didn’t care how long it took for you to have to wait. The worker complained about stems being in valves saying “well I’ll have to be the one to take them out…”. I could care less about the money being made off the scrap. Just want a good place to get rid of it quickly and easily.
Went to recycle some aluminum cans mostly, steel cans, and 2 batteries as they only allow two batteries at a time. The wait wasn't too long but if you cannot withstand heat it's not very well ventilated and they could use more fans around the drop off area. The workers are helpful and polite which must be so hard considering they have to work in that environment all day. I would have tipped the two that helped me if I had made more on the aluminum...54 lbs and only got 28 dollars...
I explained this was all new to me. I had several different pieces, materials and weights. I was told to load them all on a cart. They took the cart weighed it and gave my ticket.
I was advised by another customer that I really got ripped off. They should not have weighed everything together and then paid me for the lowest priced material.
I feel I was totally ripped off!!
Horrible experience there today, sat in line for 3 hours to finally get my tin unloaded and weighed, Then I went to the front to get the aluminum weighed inside, and they said they were closed even though the weigh station guy said they would be open. What a worthless place. So now I had to tie down a bunch of loose aluminum to take back home. There parking area there is so small that all the trucks were blocking each other. Oh, you have to tell them to give you the prices you were quoted on the phone or else they will give you lower prices.... I have never had such a bad experience at a scrap yard. If you have the choice, travel farther to go elsewhere.
I go here almost everyday I know just about everyone there if you have scrap metal this is the place to take it they pay more than anyone else around. Sometimes they get busy but it's worth the wait. All the employees are very nice.
We picked up a load of bales here to take back to Illinois and everyone we came in contact with was very nice. Place was run very efficiently, we were in, loaded, and out in just a few minutes. Our only complaint would be that it was very tight quarters and tough to maneuver the semi back out to the scales to leave. However, their friendliness, speed and efficiency more than made up for that!
