Always had good experience bringing in scrap metal, good prices, and honest.
I had alot of items stolen from my home (Antiques, copper, brass, Silver, etc) I called up and described items that was stolen and with a quickness an possible suspect was made and office staff had all paperwork needed and ready to go when needed.

Great place to take your scrap if you keep up with prices I've taken some copper and got over $100 another time I took probably twice as much copper and got way less. Not their fault though. There's also a pull a part place in the back with reasonable prices I just hate that they close so early.
Worst service received from a salvage yard.. will not honor warranty on a used 1997
f150 transmission. I purchased it and installed in about 2 weeks later it only went in reverse. I was told the company would come and tow the vehicle to have it inspected first then I was told I have to tow it on my own dime to have it inspected(I'm in Gainesville shops in Ocala)and my question is why wasn't it inspected before it was sold to me. At this point Its looking like it's going to be a report to the better Business bureau. I even asked was this stated in the receipt on the return policy and they told me no not technically smh.. normally when you go to a salvage yard and buy used part if it doesn't work and it's under warranty just swap it out for another one we're dealing with used components. 0 Stars
1/3 of the ENTIRE junkyard is off limits & that isn't displayed but using a small SCRAP stop sign I read the disclaimer on the entrance and it didn't say a thing about this. This is shameful compared to the organization of marion County junkyard.
I spent 45 minutes pulling a part just to get threatened by the new England sob sitting in the shack by the entrance. I will not support a business that gets defensive & raise its voice at customers who are presented poor instructions
Ive been here a few times and I like the people who work here,, there good people thier helpful when you need a hand, curtious, and they work hard to keep the yard picked up I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I like the way the setup is it easy to get right in on the scales and then it's a short drive to get unloaded. They pay in cash up to a certain amount so if you're just dropping a small load it'll pay in cash a large load they pay in check and I've never had a problem of taking probably 30 loads there
Good service good prices never an issue wasnt sure on all grades but staff was ever helpful and didnt try to cheat you out of your money staff helped to get top prices even if it took a few extra minutes. Thanks for all your help be seeing you again
Horrible. They would not allow me to recycle my residential AC coil. I must write myself a letter authorizing me to recycle my AC coil. To funny. Unless you consider the the price of gas to get to get over there and get turned away. Again, to funny....
This place is great. The guys at the front are pretty knowledgeable about what's in the yard, the yard itself isn't a complete and total wreck and mass. it says organized as you could ever hope for a place like this to be. Glad I found this place
Convenient, quick service and friendly staff. Any raw materials, steel, brass, etc... can bring in and get s good return on your money that otherwise would be thrown in the trash
Very shady employee the one on scales gives you a price when you go inside to collect the old bearded gray hair guy tells you your getting less they already dumped in the pile so you can't get your product back be ware of price mix up
They are alright by me. Dealt with them a few times in the past and always got a good deal.
Lost phone in the truck yard. They found it, called me that evening. I picked it up the next day. If that's a shady crook, I'll take that everyday.
I have always done business with them because they are convenient and the boys in the yard are polite. I called today to ask a question about scrap bedframes and got my answer and the man hung up on me. I will not return I will drive the extra miles. so very RUDE..thank you
So I called marks about 10 minutes before they close telling them that I had some scrap aluminum metal recycle I get there and they don't have the scale to weigh the aluminum piss-poor the guy tells me that they close at 4:30 I get there at 4:28 I know it's two minutes but that's still two minutes y'all need to be open basically wasted my time my gas for nothing.
I had someone junk my vehicle here once without the title, had to report it to the police. The most Mark's could do was give me what it was sold to because they didn't have it anymore. So I got around $300 for a Subaru that was still in good condition and running. I still have the title to this day.
Dude was nice just a quiet older gentlemen, and before I called and asked about specific cars and he answered me with no problems or thinking I was dumb and they didn't charge me a bunch for parts and made some bundle deals with me, really good place
Their sign is growing over with weeds so maybe they are going out of business LOL. They have newer cars but the people running this place are extremely Shady. Poorly run business
It would be just grand if someone answered a phone there. How can a business make money if the business does not answer a phone? I suppose I will take my wad of cash else where.
We take our scrap metal to Marks Auto for recycle. They pay competitive prices for clean scrap. We try to guess how much money we are going to get paid for the whole load. One time we guessed $50. Haaa. we rolled out of there with over $100.00. Not a bad afternoons work for cleaning some junk out of the yard. Plus, when the neighbors find out we are taking scrap, they want us to take their scrap with our load, so,we just charge them double. ;-).
Mark's is a good place for recycling your metals, and it's a great place to get some vintage and modern truck and auto parts too.
