Excellent staff. We had a major breakdown on our F350 while also towing a large cargo trailer. The drivers excellent. The 1st driver arrived quicker than I expected and was able to get our truck loaded quickly and without problems, but when he tried to hookup the cargo trailer he couldn't get the hitch to lock in. He tried everything he could but it just wouldn't work. He knew we didn't want to leave our trailer unattended until someone else could get there so he sat with us for hours and still had a great attitude. Then the driver that they had to call in to help arrived and he knew just what to do to get the rest of it on the way. When we were dropped at the hotel with everything both drivers were very polite and had great attitudes even though the first had sat with us for hours and the 2nd was v woken up in the middle of the night to tow the cargo trailer. They made sure we were able to get a room and that we had everything we needed. I'm sorry that I didn't get both of their names but they were great at their jobs and to me they went over and above. Thank you so much, Eastern Diesel & Auto. You have some awesome employees.
I had an extremely negative experience with this towing company. My truck slid into a ditch, and they charged me $9500 just to put the truck back on the road. They also refused to accept payment on the spot and insisted on taking the truck to their yard, which added even more unnecessary cost and stress.
When I finally got the truck back, I discovered additional problems. A full tank of diesel was gone and the coolant had been drained. When I contacted the company to discuss the charges and the condition of the truck, they were dismissive and refused to work with me or provide reasonable explanations.
Once they had my truck in their yard, their attitude became even worse. The staff were rude and impolite, and it was almost impossible to have a normal conversation , they wouldn’t even let me talk or explain my situation.
Overall, I feel taken advantage of and overcharged. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. If you have to deal with them.
I had a quadruple bypass recently and had a flat on my RV these people were outstanding from the phone receptionist to the tow driver, the whole experience was wonderful. They always texted their ETA while we waited. And the driver was outstanding, and as a veteran I salute him for his professionalism.Thank you guys . I highly recommend this towing service
If I could give this company a lower star than a one, I absolutely would we’ve been sitting on the side of the road for three hours waiting on a tire change while they’ve changed their ETA three different times. Absolutely do not use the service unless you have a lot of time on your hands. Btw we missed our son’s wedding thanks to you!
Worst experience ever! We waited 6 hours while the mechanic Carl was supposedly "getting a part" and doing who knows what. No clear updates, no communication. And then there’s dispatcher Casey, who clearly has no idea how to speak to customers — rude, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful. We remained polite the entire time, but apparently that doesn’t matter here.
To make things even worse, Casey didn’t even know how to process an EFS check and acted like we were trying to scam her. Completely unacceptable. With that kind of behavior and lack of basic knowledge, people like her should clearly be fired.
When the mechanic finally showed up, he fixed the issue in 15 minutes, and they charged us $1000. For what? For the wait, the attitude, and 15 minutes of work? This is outright robbery.
I strongly do not recommend this service. If you don’t want to ruin your day and waste your money — stay far away from this place.
I want to agree with the previous comment, the service is good, but like the previous commenter said, great service at gunpoint pricing. It supposedly took the mechanic 6 hours to bring the part for the track. And the job itself took no more than 15 minutes. Especially the dispatcher Casey, instead of explaining why they counted 6 hours, she started interrupting, yelling into the phone and threatened to tow the truck if we didn't pay. Roughly speaking, hysteria started. Your dispatcher Casey is the most unqualified worker, which elementary can not deduce EFS check and instead of figuring it out, starts calling us and denies everything.
The service was fine, they did what they said they would but the owner is a prick. I was quoted to get the job done and they ran into an issue and wanted to blame us for it, i cant pay for someone elses mistakes, so i wanted an explanation why my bill was higher than quoted, the owner jumped on the phone and started screaming at me calling me names out of nowhere, i was having a professional conversation with the lady, i also didnt have any issues with the mechanics, but he was very unprofessional, next time if i break down in that area i will take my chances with TA or LOVES or tow my truck rather than dealing with this owner, KEVIN learn some manners, learn to communicate with peopole, screaming will just get you these types of reviews
UPDATE: The part the they replaced was possibly used cannot prove it, but they charged me for a new part, my truck broke down again with the same issue, fixed this time propperly for $107....they charged me $1400+ to get this same job done initially, RUN RUN RUN do not use these people
Had a truck broke down near DeFuniak springs, called these guys out late at night and they were there quickly. A lot of times wreckers will charge crazy prices but these guys were very reasonable and I didn’t want that to go unnoticed. Thank you guys!
Great service at gunpoint pricing. $290 to drive down a gravel road and pull a work van 5 feet. Their 10 minute response time comes with a heavy price tag.
I slid off the interstate and totaled my car during this Florida snowstorm, and they towed my car over an hour through the snowstorm and dropped me and my little dog off at a hotel and helped me with my bags before taking my car to the tow yard. They were very kind and helpful and I was so grateful for their help.
Can’t say enough about our experience with Eastern Diesel, and Norman in particular. We had an accident while on vacation in the middle of nowhere. Norman towed our vehicle and went the extra mile to ensure we made it back to our rental safely when we would have been stranded otherwise. He’s a true professional and a great human being!
Worst experience ever! Charged over twice the amount of their competitors. Lost all but 2 bolts to our drive shaft. Then couldn't disconnect the drive shaft because he didn't know how so pulled it anyway. Thankful it didn't ruin the transmission.
I had a great experience. Dawayne was a down-to-earth guy. He took my truck and low boy trailer to Dalton, AL because my clutch went out. I would recommend their company to anyone in need of help. I appreciate the help. Keep up the good work!
We blew out 40 min from our hotel in Florida and couldn’t find anyone to help. Thankfully a very nice gentleman named Brandon Osborne came to help us. He literally was our guide sent from heaven. He was there in less then 20 min and got us to our destination in no time. The conversations flowed smoothly and we were stress free by the time we arrived. Very pleasant person to be around 10/10 recommend to anyone in trouble and in need of help roadside. Ps. Great music taste!

While the service was in a timely manner- we was price gauged insanely! I get it gas has gone up. Had a young man travel from bonifay to marianna … literally to bring a compression kit and a makeshift rod to open our truck door that locked that literally took 15 minutes . We was charged $229 . We was told that was a discount!? Seriously a discount? I could only imagine what full price would have been. The young man stated they are charging $4.50 a mile … so that truck he was using is averaging about 20 miles a gallon … if I’m doing my math right there’s something wrong there. I will call on someone else before I ever use these people services again. That’s trying to rob people and ecspecially to know the economy , it’s like trying to squeeze a penny to make a dollar appear - I guess greed will do that.. trying to make a buck even if it means throwing dirt over someone. Again service was efficient but the price gauging is unnecessary.

These really are the good guys! Just like it says on the side of their trucks. Brandon was my rescuer, and even rode beside me when I left to make sure my car was riding ok talking to me on the phone he asked if I felt safe. Wow!! Brandon is a huge asset to your company and making a woman broke down on the side of a country road in the middle of the night feel safe before he left is incredible.
THE ABSOLUTELY BEST SERVICE ON THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN! Mr Norman towed my car after a wreck on I 10 and they took such good care of me as a stranded individual. They went above and beyond their duties to make sure not only my vehicle but that I was safe and sound. Mr Norman even made sure I was taken care of the next day. There is no other service on Bonifay or the state of Florida that can compare.
This truck services was amazing. My dad's truck broke down in Pensacola, Fl and this company Eastern Diesel and Auto showed up. I believe the driver name was Norman. Very nice and professional. Would highly recommend their services.
This company is awesome. My mom, aunt and I were broke down on I-10 and they got to us with a tow truck in 30-45 minutes which was alot faster than we were expecting . And our driver BRANDON was super awesome. He was very nice, polite and funny. As much as road trips stink when things like this happen he definitely made this bad situation more enjoyable. They were super nice qnd supportive. My tire blew on the side of I-10 and I live in Jacksonville Fl heading to Alabama when my tire blew out. I had my car towed there. They took care of me very quickly and efficiently. If I am ever out that way again and needed car service I will definitely use them. Thank you guys so much for taking care of me in my time of need!
My husband and I were broke down on I10 with a 21' motor home not able to find anyone that could tow us. Called them to see if they were able to tow us. They came out to see if they were able to help us. They also weren't able to tow. They saw the problem, we needed a fan belt. They were willing to go the belt. Using their cellphone flashlights they put the belt on. They saved us from sitting on I10 all night. Really nice guys and we are very thankful they were there to help.
Popped 2 tires on the way to Florida last night. They towed us took us to a hotel and took our tires to be fixed this morning. Brandon is very very awesome. The only problem that I have is I can only give you guys five stars.
We had been on the road for about six hours on our way back home to south Texas. When we noticed tire on dolly was just about to pop. We stopped at Walmart and looked online for tire shops nearby it was 8pm Saturday night. They were all closed except this towing company. We called and asked if they had any tires or know of any place. They said they could help us out and would be out to us in under 40 min. Sean came out in around 20-25 min took care of us within 45min and we were on our way! Definitely recommend these guys. They are open 24/7. Great and fast service! Thanks again for the help Sean.
Monday evening I locked my keys & purse in my 2003 Toyota Tundra. I googled on ideas to try to get an access point but since mine is a power model, I was unable to handle it on my own. I again used google to search for the closest Locksmith as I was a long way from town. I got hold of ASAP Towing & Roadside Service and spoke to a very nice man that worked with me to get a discounted rate. I thought ASAP was coming but they apparently work with Eastern Diesel and in a short time someone arrived and in less than 5 minutes had my truck open. The serviceman was very friendly and the service was great. I’d highly recommend this company to anyone in need.

My wife and I were traveling in our 33' RV and stopped in Bonifay for gas at the Tom Thumb. We hit the curb and crushed the muffler and it in turn damaged the drive shaft. We were totally disabled. I called James at Eastern Diesel, he was on another call and said he would be there in one hour, so we waited and he showed up as promised. After a quick survey under the RV he determined what needed to be repaired, started the work and then went for parts, which we were fortunate that the local parts store had in stock. He returned and the entire job took less than 4 hours. He was honest and very respectful. We would recommend him and his company to any traveler. God Bless you James for helping us out in a time of real need.
