Apparently their website and google are wrong about their hours. They in fact do not stay open till 5pm. Showed up a quarter after 4 and they were already closed and they have a printed paper in a window stating their new hours are 430.
Always an easy trip when I go there. For steel weight in first, dump your steel, get weighted again. Drive around and drop off other metals and batteries. Then go to the cashier and get your money.
Definitely best place to bring your metal. They're always fair and accurate with pricing. Every single person here is the friendliest every time we come
There's never any line to get in, its not sketchy like some other places, and there's usually some kind of promotion where they'll give you more money than the scale price.
Very efficient operation! I am not well versed in the scrap metal industry and cannot say if their payouts are competitive with other operations but they have a great system in place. Everyone was friendly and courteous on the day I visited. One washing machine and one f150 front bumper yielded $14 and change. That's a couple gallons of gas and some slurpees!
A while back I brought aluminum cans in five 32gal trash cans and six yard bags. The fork lift driver set the basket half on the scale with part of it resting on the dock. By the time I got the operator's attention the fork lift had hauled them away. It weighed in at 254 pounds. I informed him that the basket was resting on the dock and not offering a true weight . "It's fine , it was balanced" he said. Today I had the same five cans and only five yard bags, cans all crushed the same way by hand and taken to the sister facility, it came to 278 pounds. I knew he was ripping me off, they lost all future business from me.
