Had boat broken down on the side of 75. Driver was fearless and great at getting it on the truck. We did have scheduling/dispatch issues as my husband was not clear with what was being asked if him. A call back would have been nice to help him understand the process better but I think they assumed he ended up not needing a tow. Price seemed reasonable for what we needed and a tow for over 60 miles back to Tampa. Definitely able to do extreme towing, which was my biggest concern.
The driver was fine, I shouldn’t have taken my frustration out on him for the dispatch lady. First when I called the dispatch lady, was simply just rude. You can tell she was in the middle of something. Her tone was nasty before we even began. She asked me where I was, I told her I’m on X road by this gas station. Made me repeat it, and asked what road it is. I stated again, X road but I’m in the parking lot towards the back. Made me repeat the end destination of the tow twice. I told her exactly what was wrong with the car, that the tire was not connected and there was a bunch of fluid that came out. I was quoted $167. The driver arrives and I’m told because it won’t start (it would) or “drive” (which she knew) it would be $230 even though I was going less miles now as I found a shop closer then my house. It should have been cheaper OR at best, the dispatch lady could have stopped what she was doing and been more thorough in her questions and given someone an appropriate quote. I truly don’t care about the companies response to this, I just want people to be aware that you won’t be given an appropriate quote so if you’re on an emergency budget make sure if you use this company YOU be overly detailed even if it annoys her and keeps her on the phone in between whatever she was too busy doing that I interrupted, so that you know before the driver gets there exactly what you’re paying. What is the point in telling a customer it’s going to be X amount if you’re going to up it by $100 without understanding what they’re saying is wrong or asking enough questions to give good customer service. People coming to a tow company are not exactly in the best spirits, a lot of people, like myself live on an incredibly tight budget and when things out of our control happen the least a company whose making money off our unfortunate luck could do is be more thorough when booking a customer.
Super-fast and great service. We had a truck stuck in a sink hole and they came to our location quickly, got the truck out and we were able to get back on the road. Great pricing as well.
