Incredibly rude staff. 1.7 stars seems awfully high for a company that charges over $200 to pick up one vehicle, with no visible tow signs at their locations.
They towed my car even though I had a parking pass. I caught the driver as he was leaving with my car and told him the parking pass was in my car and he said to give him 50 dollars and I could get my car back. After I gave him the money and he drove off with my car anyways. He looked Arab and had a long beard. I suspect he pocketed the money and still made me pay another $184 dollars to get my car back once I went to pick it up. This company needs to ensure their workers aren’t exploiting people and pocketing money.
This company has unlawfully towed my boyfriend’s car from visitor parking at 2 different complexes twice now. They prey on college students and cause major inconveniences that impact people’s livelihood so that they can cash in. They also damaged his vehicle and said they didn’t have the “before” pictures like they are supposed to.
parked in the back of the apartment complex, surrounded by empty spots to run in and deliver a pizza. within 3 minutes my car was in the air. apparently, they would prefer you park in the street with your hazards on and block traffic/other vehicles than choosing the safer, more considerate option! (empty spaces upon open spaces with no signage or reserved markings) very strange and weird behavior, insanely obvious greed. hope the man that watched me park and unload a stack of pizzas has the day he deserves
These people towed my rental car from my own apartment complex where I pay rent because I forgot to put a sticker. Then I couldn’t get my car for 2 days because the title of the car is with the insurance company and they charged me extra on top of it. There’s a special place in hell for people like this . I understand if I parked somewhere illegally or if it was my fault . I would give them a negative review if I could.
I work security at a site and these guys towed my car. Even though I told them I work there and there's no designated place for me to park they insisted that I must be wrong and that I had to pay the full price in order to get my car back. My job had to intervene in order to get my car back. Wouldn't recommend.
Terrible service, damaged the undercarriage of my car, denied and wouldn't even talk about it after an almost $350 bill to tow from Valrico to downtown Tampa. In the end, I paid for the damage myself, it would have been a wash taking them to small claims court.
Really bad towing company. I was in suncoast for not even 20 minutes dropping something off to a friend and they towed my car for absolutely no reason. They prey on vehicles and I tried to talk to the tow truck driver and he refused to even tell me where to pick my vehicle up and continued to drive off.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They are rude and unprofessional, and they tow cars and make up excuses. My car has been towed several times since living in my complex and its always my car. This is now harassment at this point. I am literally at work and my car was towed because the handicap decal was not displayed. The tow truck driver made the comment that he knows we have one because he sees it all the time but it just wasn't displayed so he took the car. Whatever happened to humanity and common decency?? This is all a scam.
I am visiting my sister and woke up without a car. There's no signs up saying that you will be towed. There isn't any contact info posted anywhere once you have been towed. You have to call the non emergency line. They pick and choose who they tow. Newer cars are being targeted. Depending on how much money they're trying to make a night. I parked in the same spot the night before. The fact they are walking around looking into each car for permits is definitely a scheme. $225 flat fee to go 5 miles up the road. That's how you know it's a scam. $35 a day. $70 if you come after 6. So on top of the high fee, they close early. For the people who have to work we have to wait another day and pay $270 or pay $295 after 6. They're Scammers and this should be illegal!
Everywhere else, is says 24/7. The number listed is incorrect. It really is a different number. You call and nobody answers. Towed my car from in front of my apartment but doesn’t want to answer the phone. I’ve been calling for hours.
Shame on this company for scheming with student housing apartments to get their car towed for absolutely unreal reasons and charge absolutely crazy price for no more than a 2 mile radius!
Worst service I’ve ever received in my entire life. Had us waiting outside for over an hour to get our car back that was parked in a PARKING GARAGE. Never in my life have I had worse experience, and the man who served us made it even worse. I think I’d rather leave my car there for the rest of time than ever have to deal with these people again. Horrible service, promised us multiple times they would be there “within 10 minutes” and ended up waiting an hour. I understand you don’t really have much of a choice but to go and deal with it but this is just absolute robbery and terrible people.
Predatory towing company. For a simple 2 mile tow, getting your car back will cost you 200. Definitely a criminal rate, 160 for a hookup. They will also unlawfully tow your car at times. Not to mention damage your vehicle. Shame on the college apartments like halo, Metropolitan, Standard and others for using this company. If you think your car was unlawfully towed make sure you file a report and also contact authorities.
Autopros is a company with passion .When my car was towed they toke time to explain to me the reason and advised me of the towing policy. They also reached out to the property to ensure all residence had a current update on the towing policy.. Also the manager made contact with me on the services and the towing fee was reasonable. Your staffs were very polite.
I honestly cannot believe this company is still in business, towing properly marked cars, towing cars parked in proper visitor parking, all of the above. Our car was parked in a visitor parking spot because we didn’t have the new tags for the complex yet and they towed it from a visitor spot. Their hours are also horrendous and make it very difficult for people to get their cars back after they’ve been towed. Not to mention the honestly predatory and exploitative behaviors regarding USF students. Obviously they have contracts with student housing complexes in the area which isn't unheard of however the way they specifically operate is so greedy. The lady who answers the phone is insanely rude and disrespectful and doesn’t care about the bind they put people in. They will charge you for having to hold you car for you even though their hours don’t allow for people who have actual jobs that do good in the world to come acquire their car. I can’t begin to explain how royally messed up and gross this company is. the most unimpressive, incompetent, unprofessional, towing company i have ever had to deal with.
Sure wish we could give a negative one star. This company is the worst of the worst. They are in collusion with several student apartment parking lots. They prowl and patrol these parking lots, even making up violations and towing cars with parking stickers on them. It is obvious that they have arrangements with the facilities where they share the massive amounts of money they acquire by exploiting these young college kids. The state needs to intervene and shut them down. There’s a reason that they have a one star rating while other companies don’t. I have reported them to several entities and will continue to because they just ripped my daughter off today who pays $50 a month for parking and has a sticker on her car showing the permit and they still told her and now she hast to try to get her car back at a cost of two or $300 and miss a very important test at school. This greed needs to be stopped immediately. When you read these reviews there can’t be this many people with the same problem, all making it up. Put them out of business immediately.
If I could give negative stars I would. I was delivering food for Uber and entered into a student living apartment complex with an open gate and no lit up signage saying private property- Tow away zone. I was gone for a total of 6 minutes and as I am walking back into the parking lot they were pulling away with my car. This man was obviously prowling the parking lot looking for a job. The parking spot had no signage saying I couldn’t park and the only sign stating tow away zone was posted on the fence that was open and off to the side. I made an appointment for 1pm today to pick up my car and they didn’t even show up until 2:10pm. Actual garbage human beings.
This place is horrible. They towed a car WITH A PARKING PASS- then no one was at the location for the car to be picked up. I call at 8:10 and they said “oh he’s on the way. He takes the bus to work” which I understand by that’s not my problem. Y’all towed my car in the middle of the night, if you can’t get up and be on time for work, maybe you shouldn’t be up in the middle of the night towing peoples car. I’m pissed and everyone who works here is rude. Not to mention the price they charge to pick the car up is over $200. So yall can tow my car in the middle of the night- WITH A PASS- not be there when you said you would for me to pick it up- and then proceed to charge $250 for me to get my car back?? Really interesting, not to mention SLIMEY
This tow company is ATROCIOUS. Left the car outside for literally 10 MINUTES to stop inside the apartment and came out to no car. Then when i saw a tow truck in the neighborhood i walked up and asked if they towed my car. The man in the car responded yes and then i proceeded to ask for a number and info to retrieve the car… “numbers on truck” and he then proceeded to drive off. I called the number on truck and then a lady answered with screaming kids in the background. I asked if its possible to get the car even though its late at night. She gave me the address with a minor uninterested attitude. Got the address and hung up. Because what is the reason. Anyways. I arrived and they dont accept apple pay. Dont take card without everyones ID’s. Moral of the story why yall towing at 3 AM. BYE
Company has zero morals. Towed car helping me move. In the middle of the day time. At 6:50pm. Online it says they were closed. Came to the place and the blinds were closed. Super misleading given the law states that they must be open 24/7. can't imagine someone not knowing the law leaving their car over night till Monday and dealing with the outrageous fees. Probably what the point is of appearing closed online and in person. No morals.
Overall experience was terrible. They deserve -5 stars in my opinion. The car was parked illegally for no more than three minutes while it was being unloaded. On the weekends there’s a club across the street that a lot of people go to so they take up residence and visitor parking spots. We had every intention on moving the vehicle. We came in direct contact with him before he fully hook the car and he did not offer a drop fee. We had to pay over $200 almost $300 to get the car back. Initially, I was not under the impression that a drop fee with something that had to be offered. I contacted this company the following day in regards to the issue, and they told me that someone will be taking a look into it.
Almost a month went by with no update and I called them back. I was on hold for over 30 minutes with one of the people in the office, and she never came back to the phone. I hung up, and called her back. She did not recall what the situation was. That alone let me know that she was not investigating the issue and had no intention on coming back on the line. After being on hold for an additional 10 to 15 minutes she told me the manager will just call me back.
The manager was so unprofessional and rude. He said he called from my side of the situation, but it was very clear that he already made up in his mind on what happened and was not about to handle the situation accordingly and professionally. In fact, the manager decided to try and argue with me, but I was not about to argue with a grown man. I told him this conversation was no longer being productive, I patiently waited for the issue to be resolved for almost a month, and that I will escalate this issue elsewhere and he hung up in my face.
During our conversation, he pretty much admitted to their wrongdoing but was not willing to make amends. I told him a drop fee was not offered to us and he said they don’t stop or continue contact with us due to their safety. Why are you a towing company taking away people hard owned possessions in the after hours, and can’t effectively handle a situation the LEGAL way?? Because you’re scared and was in the wrong anyway perhaps. You being scared for your safety… You need to pick another profession where you feel secure so you can do your effectively and efficiently. But no worries, the situation was already taken care of thanks to the outside professionals we escalated the issue to thank god. Overall what I was trying to get resolved was handled through them directly that was a complete fail. Just unprofessional and money hungry.
These people are money hungry. As my car was waiting to be serviced, they towed it from my apartment complex. The tag is active, and the vehicle was not parked illegally. It simply did not have a front tire since it was waiting to be serviced. Additionally, they are going through people's cars as well. Make sure you check your belongings before leaving their lot. They are scammers. My worst experience with a towing service. I wish I could give them zero stars.
Hostile driver Eastbound on Fletcher Ave between Bruce B Downs and 42nd 1150 PM. Unsignaled lane change, using bay lights to intimidate and blind other drivers, flashing LED strobes out his passenger window to blind drivers and discourage photography of his behavior. VERY aggressive. Can not trust a company that behaves like this. Does their insurer understand they do this?
The location on E Broadway is literally the worst. Like the other reviews if I could give 0 stars I definitely would. They illegally towed my car stating that they did not see a parking pass (when I called). Once I arrived at the location and pointed to where the parking pass was at and had been when they towed it they still would not release my car without getting the “ok”. The parking pass was in the rear view window the entire time. This caused me to miss a very necessary doctors appointment due to no transportation. This has been the 3rd encounter I’ve had to deal with this place. My second encounter was when I had my rental car backed in unloading it from a trip the tow man sat there and watched me unload the car. By the time took the last load upstairs and came down to return the car to the rental company (a total of Maybe 5 mins) he was already trying to hook it up. Dude I completely understand they are in the business of making money but can we at least have some morals. Please don’t do business with this company rather is for your apartment complex or personal life. They will do nothing but cause headaches.
