They towed my truck and broke off one of my mud flaps and there’s a small dent in the rear quarter panel. And charged me $215. The only way they told me I could resolve this is by sending management an email… I’m sure they’ll be on top of it… not.
These people towed my car from a VISITOR parking spot, when I made my appointment they were not even there. Absolutely ridiculous, insane fees, unprofessionalism, and much much more. These guys walked around with flash lights taking pictures of cars, they are a PREDATOR company.
This company refused to tow a vehicle from a property that has their signs for top secret reasons. Claiming their management has not authorize them to tow vehicles from my location, but that no other tow truck is allowed to tow from this property because they claimed towing rights over this property, but refused to do it. They then claim that I’m not on the list of authorized people to call in a tow truck.
Of course I’m authorized to call in a tow truck. In fact, I am the reason a previous tow company was fired. Making me the reason this property needed a new towing service. So many towing services refused to do their job on a Friday night. I don’t care what the reason is if they’re not gonna do their job, we’re gonna get a new towing service.
So now they’re gonna get a very confused customer wondering where their car is calling this place because they have signs up. And they’re not gonna know. So that Customer is gonna have to talk to management to figure out the owner of the reserve space. And I get to Let everybody know how this towing company refuse to do their job and they will be the third towing company fired from this place.
I am a man of my word, they wrongly towed my car and I sent reciepts of proof and they fixed it promptly issuing me a refund. The staff at the yard was friendly and easy to get car and no visible damage from tow. 1 changed to 5
These people have no patience for anything and will tow I haven’t gotten paid until the 11th and was gonna get my registration done but I haven’t drove it I drove my other car no wonder they have 1.6 stars and just prey on people to make money
I’ve had enough of this place. I live in an apartment complex in st Pete and I’ve been towed by them from my own home multiple times. Today I came downstairs to a sticker covering my driver side rear window that was threatening to tow me because my registration was expired. My registration went through August. It’s September 10th. They are just looking to rip people off and get them out of money. My registration tags were literally in the mailbox. The sticker they put on my window if you Google it, says that it is super sticky and very difficult to remove warning tag. I just spent the last hour and a half scrubbing it off of my window and damaging the tint in the process. Per Florida state law it is considered vandalism if they put it on there with the intent of it being difficult to remove or damaging the vehicle. I would love to see these people go down. Anyone Who is associated with this company should be ashamed.
The QR code to pay was completely down with no way to pay in the spot. I politely emailed admin about it with no results. Vehicle got towed with no solutions. I recommend just paying no matter how bad or invalid the tow was because there won’t be any consideration offered.
My father passed away earlier last month, and his car was towed from his apartment complex in Tampa. I live out of state in Georgia, and contacted the tow company to see if there was any way to retrieve the vehicle while I worked on obtaining the death certificate and necessary legal paperwork. I explained everything, including that his biological daughter (the next of kin) was aware and supportive. They refused to offer any assistance, refused to suggest any possible solutions, and showed no compassion for the circumstances. Their only response was, “There’s nothing we can do,” leaving me with no help during an already difficult time.

I can't express enough how frustrating and disappointing my experience with this towing company was. I came home after 10 pm to find my guest's car had been towed from my apartment complex. There was no warning, no notice, no explanation for where the car was taken or why.
After finally managing to find the phone number to this place, I was told I had to schedule an appointment just to get the car back, and when I finally did, they hit us with a $470 bill for a tow that was only 5 miles down the road. That’s absolutely insane for such a short distance.
This company’s predatory “business” practices are ridiculous and exploitative. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. They are out to profit off your misfortune.
Absolutely ridiculous. These people are the worst, they came around 8pm. There were 2 guys literally speed walking around the apartment complex as soon as it got dark with flash lights looking at licence plates and taking pictures of cars, they are 100% predator company. They charge 500$ for 1 day of taking ur vehicle and if u don't pick it up on day 1 it goes up to about 650. I was able to get one guy to move his truck by honking my horn before they took it and the guy got so mad at me he went and found another car to take. I'm sure most people leave a review in anger. I'm going to be level with you. Their communication is good. The treatment of your car seems adequate (though I'm not sure how the exactly dragged/hooked our car). Their prices are absolutely outrageous and unfair. a $500 tow, not only that, but they towed it PAST their St.Pete location, all the way to Tampa. I'm guessing the distance towed translates into the cost of the tow. So, it's not a one star. I believe the professionalism of the person I communicated with deserves an extra star. I still haven't picked it up yet, so if this is now 1 star, you'll know there were more problems.
Parked my car for less than 15 minutes at an apartment complex with PLENTY of free parking spots to drop things off for a friend, and got towed for $242. Tow truck driver is apparently stalking the complex trying to grab money. I Called them and they refused to give me any useful information.
I recently registered my vehicle in Pennsylvania. Normally, when the registration can’t be processed electronically, the state issues a pink slip registration, which serves as a temporary registration while the paperwork is completed. Despite having a valid parking sticker and current license plate, this towing company attempted to tow my vehicle, claiming the plate didn’t belong to it. Fortunately, I arrived home around 2 AM and was able to stop them.
The tow truck drivers from this company are nothing but greedy opportunists, trying to take vehicles without any regard for whether the towing is justified or if the owner can afford the fees. They had no right to tow my car. Be cautious if you deal with this company, and if they illegally tow your vehicle, don’t hesitate to file a complaint with Hillsborough County and take legal action against them.
To the property owners who hire this company: have some decency. After charging us high rents, there’s no need to squeeze even more money out of tenants by using predatory towing services.
Hello Concerned Citizen, my car was towed on 01/29/25 by Commtow LLC. I went to Commtow LLC, paid the fee and they released the vehicle. I drove the vehicle for approximately two to three blocks and pulled over towards the curb and placed it in park. I wanted to make sure my registration & insurance was in the glove box.
At this point, I attempted to place the car in drive & the gear would not engage. Honestly, none of the gears would engage. I knew Commtow LLC did not reattach the shifter cable properly. During my undercarriage inspection not only the clip was damaged, but the actual shifter cable. CommTow LLC aggressively ripped the shifter cable from the bottom of the vehicle. Their actions were unnecessary & displayed a total disregard for the owner's safety. I contacted Commtow LLC & they did not want to assist me with the obvious issue they have caused. They were rude & disrespectful. Frankly, they could care less that I was stranded. So, at this point, it appears I'm pretty much screwed.
I was able to contact an honest tow truck company who picked up the vehicle and transported same to a repair facility. The repair facility confirmed my observation. I had to purchase not only the clip, but the entire shifter cable. Yes, it was costly. The entire situation caused by Commtow LLC could have been avoided & handled in a professional manner, but you can obviously see it was not. Once I figure out how to block my personal information on the repair invoice & tow forms, I'm going to post the said documents to this review as well.
Commtow LLC is not a reputable company. Their customer service is poor. Their tow truck drivers are not trained. Even Google Reviews rated this company with one star, which is no surprise to me.
I would not recommend Commtow LLC for residential or commercial use. I definitely would not use them on a contractual basis as well. Do you research & stay clear of COMMTOW LLC.

A dumb neither called them out of revenge while I was out of town, this company didn’t even confirm with the apartment complex to know if it was a legal tow, they were overzealous to take the car, and I have to go through hoops to get my money back from the apartment complex.

Son’s car was towed. Wrote down what was required as shown and kept car hostage over the weekend so they could add more fees in addition to adding a 70 gate fee when it during normal hours. The cars registration was in the glove box and the new sticker was on the tag not to mention it’s on the dmv website. They use entrapment techniques to rob us with outrageous fees that don’t even match what they advertise see pic. This is and should be illegal business activity. I will be contacting the news attorney in this regard and won’t stop until there is a resolution!
Obviously no one likes being towed or feels like they should’ve been. That being said when I got to the lot this morning I had a great interaction with the man at the window. I believe his name was Alphonso because that was the name on the ticket but it was a super nice black guy and he was very funny. Hope to see him again someday in a better situation. He was very helpful and made a somewhat stressful situation go as smooth as possible. Very professional and I hope the best for him.
Came back from my deployment and went out with a couple friends I haven’t seen in 8 months. Parked in a visitors spot at my buddies apartment complex and got towed quickly. I spend money in Tampa and give to the city just for a tow company with low educated individuals to steal my car. When I pick up my car another tow truck pulled in and in big bold letter on the front of the car said “support the troops” I laughed at the irony.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. This is the worst towing company I’ve ever had to deal with. Terrible customer service from the moment i had to call to the moment the guy got to the establishment. My car got towed from the Amalie arena parking garage after I paid $20 entry fee. I had to walk AN HOUR from Amalie to this place and was still not granted my car. And on top of it the wouldn’t release the car to me so they made my mom drive over an hour almost TWO HOURS LATER at 3AM!!!!! The guy at the front was extremely unhelpful and the lady Jessy on the phone was disgusting. No wonder they have a 1.7 rating. Y’all should not be allowed to tow cars if you’re not going to be helpful to the owners. I am not paying this establishment a CENT and do not wish to speak to an owner or manager I doubt they will be anymore helpful.
They towed my car from a visitor parking spot. They have this thing to scan and register your car. It was working with no problems. I scan it every time. Then it stopped working. Every time I do it, it says not allowed to register. So I stopped doing it since Thursday night. I was here night time on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Today is Tuesday, they tow the car. The guy is so rude. He just yelled and yelled. I told him to give me a minute so I can show him that his scan is not working. He just yelled and left. I don’t live here, I come here night time to babysit a child. What kind of company is this
Warning this is a predatory towing company. Please report them to BBC if you haven’t already. I’m gearing up to take them to court. They towed my car for not having a tag, it wasn’t in their possession for 8 hours and they told me it would be $577 to get my car. You read that right $577 dollars. Please stay far away from this company and continue to report them.
Thank you for towing me from my own apartment complex for having a decal in the passenger footwell that fell from my dashboard. Not sure why the complex requires all of my cars information when it does absolutely nothing for the resident. Do you not have a list of residents and their vehicles/plate numbers to check before you go slapping 500 dollar bills on people who did nothing wrong?
Heres an idea: if you’re using a decal code to validate a vehicle (assuming by license plate, any other way would be stupid), why don’t your employees take an extra 30 seconds out of their day to lookup by license to validate an approved vehicle?

My car was towed from Foxcroft apartments for backing into a spot. No signs are posted for such and I’ve never heard such malarkey. Even the drivers hand books suggest backing in, so one can get jumped in the event battery dies. $585 for a tow is absolutely criminal
If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. My vehicle was towed from my apartment building parking lot! I was told by this towing company they placed a notice on my door stating that i had to now have their sticker on my car. I never received this notice nor do they have proof they left me a notice. I wake up to go to work and my car is gone! I call the police thinking it was stolen and was told this company towed my car from my residence where I pay rent. I called this tow company and the lady was very rude to my husband and I she made me an appointment within the hour to pick up my car and the price will be $196 . When I arrived to this place it looked nothing like a business but something off the movie wrong turn! I find someone in a man made booth and she tells me now it’s $266! She states the system automatically added this price! This kind of business is unacceptable and are looking to make a quick penny anyway possible! Once I got my car my front bumper is damaged I filed a report with GEICO and putting my car in the shop today.Deborah was AWESOME and the only person there that was kind
The service here is awful. I’m sure a lot of people come in mad that their vehicle was towed, but when I came to get mine, the person at the front desk was just rude for entirely no reason. I never gave the representative any attitude to justify that. In addition to that, they add charges that are not listed, nor explained on their pricing sheet. Good luck asking them questions, because you will receive nothing but attitude and unprofessionalism.
They took my car without scanning my license plate, they also damaged my car front bumper when towing. every messed up with my car. I have parking for my apartment parking permit. They are unprofessional and their behavior is very pathetic. I am looking for the lawyer to file lawsuit for them. I have all the documents parking permit and damages in my car. Please contact me there is any good lawyer for that. Thanks

The customer service here is horrible! It’s not the fact that my vehicle was towed that pissed me off it’s that it was towed to this company! They refused to move the vehicle out of the spot so that the tow company that I hired to pick it up could get to it! The yard is so tight that he asked several times for them to move certain vehicles so he could get in because they refused to bring it out. He said he didn’t want to accidentally hit another vehicle or be responsible for something happening on their property but they still didn’t care. They claim on the website they will allow you to access the vehicle if you need registration or anything out of it but that’s a lie! I WAS NOT able to access my vehicle even after I paid for it to be released!!! I would be happy if I NEVER have to deal with this company ever again! Trust nothing they say!!!! $70 after hour charge after 6pm (fee all day on Sunday) Operation hours are Monday-Saturday 8-6 schedule your pick up then!! If you “book” your appointment before 8am be careful because they will add that extra $70 fee!!! Just ask for a breakdown of EVERYTHING with this company!!!! Distasteful and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
Instead of trying to be another garbage "woke" company, focus on just being a normal service based industry. This driver was tail gating during an already busy rush hour, cutting in and out of traffic and speeding.
If they are trying to drum up business by creating accidents this is definitely a problem. Stay out of politics, I want my tow trucks company to just tow and focus on safety issues, not create them. Such a shame. Go woke go broke...
