I wish I could give 0 stars. I was quoted a price on the phone and upon arrival the price drops down by $2 a lb. They are scammers. I went to another recycling location and got an extra $0.50 on top of the original quoted priced from this place. Trust, do not go here, they will change prices upon arrival.
Don't trust this place at all it was scammers on the weight when she went inside I checked the scale it was 67 lbs for my copper when I got the receipt it stated 60 lb with the bucket without the bucket 56 lb where is my extra 7 lbs at didn't do any confrontation about the situation I'm just letting you know and be aware not to trust these people they have the scale so that they look at the scale and not you also like the rest of the metal recycling place I only got here when I really need to I hardly come here because of the situation
This place should be called 'Reciclaje Americano.' I asked if anyone could help unload a rear axle, but nobody understood English. Total waste of time.
They have people there that speak english. Use google translate if u have a language barrier present. One of the few places open on Sunday. They helped me unload. Great service. Will come again ‼
They cheat on weights and if you call their number nobody speaks English so you don't know what you're getting paid till you go there and it is crazy to get in and out of there
Their driver hit me on route 4 and the company doesn't have INSURANCE. The owners asked to meet with me, came to my work, and gave me their word they were paying for all the damage. They followed up a few times, but when it came to pay, they disappeared.
Called on the phone and the lady said she couldn’t speak english WTH is going on? How can I can ask questions? I don’t know how someone didn’t think this through.
It’s a hit or miss sometimes they do me right sometimes They do me wrong you just Gotta make sure whatever it says on the scale is what they’ve put down and make sure they don’t minus the container when there wasn’t a container at 35 pounds of bare bright she wrote down 31 and then she Subtracted the container off of it which is a total of 8 lbs at 3 something a pound is a$ 25 lose
They cut corners and don't give you the proper type of metal or weight. When you are there at the end of the day. And the guy at scale 2 gets really rushy and pushy and will call everything tin if you let him. Other than that i love the place. Friendly. Helpful and decemt. Once again as long as you are not one of the last people there
They pay sometimes better than other scrap yards but this place is ridiculous. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a place that has Spanish speaking employees. But the big problem is that this place is mostly of only Spanish speaking employees that do not understand English.
There's a older gentleman that will stand there and watch dog everything you are removing and will just stand and watch extremely close as he stands next to you. Does not really offer help either.
First of all with covid still being a issue and the fact while unloading it will either get himself or myself hurt dropping things, they get in the way and do not keep a safe distance. And if there is something they can't accept they will just say no and they cannot explain why...
Not to mention just went there first thing in the AM and they were all about 20 minutes late to open the gates. There's barely any space and there's no good way to communicate. There should be someone who can speak clear English or Spanish in the yard and near the scales.
I've had questions about why certain items were weighed a certain way and there's no way to communicate if you cannot communicate with a bilingual speaking person.
This place needs tuning up with it's employees, needs a better layout or new location. You shouldn't operate a business that exchanges money if you cannot communicate clearly about your products.
Can you post negative stars on this thing. I didn't know a scrap yard could legally just make up the prices as they go along Or just call clean excursion* dirty cast aluminum. I brought in almost 300 lbs of clean escruion not 30lbs THREE HUNDRED!!!! & well over 300lbs of heavy steel as well as a few pounds of #1 copper wire. And 10 or so pounds insulated wire and a pound or 2 of clean Brite copper tubing and left with less then 100$. Talk about highway robbery I wanted to call the (COPPERS) on them. If there was anyone else open on Sunday I would not go there. The only thing good about the place is that hot little cashier they got working there. Even the name is a scam I mean if you call yourself ALL AMERICAN RECYCLING. At least 1 person there should be able to speak and understand English. I'm just saying negative 5 stars
Today i was at Amsrican Recycling wemt on the scale dropped of my shred came back on the scale and ran ove a 4in by 2in piece of steel that puntured my tire! Mind you i have no spare , i have a four month old baby in the car and everyone at the desk refused to help or give me a patch or even let me use their compressor! It is 818 pm now im just getting home and was at the scrap yard at 2pm! This is the shitiest, most worthless, place i have ever been to ever and i will tell everyone i see that scraps to NEVER go there!
In and out fast. Stopped in a few minutes before closing and service was fast and friendly. Price for copper was a little lower than some shops that mail checks but the trade off is fair considering they pay cash on the spot. Would recommend if your looking for fast and easy service.
I called ahead on a Sunday where I was told they would be open til 2 pm. I arrived with my truck overflowing at 1. They were closed. I called to check even. That sucked because my choices at that point was drive to. Gibsonton or leave it on the truck.
I've been coming here for years, and was always satisfied with the service and integrity, but on my most recent visit, they cheated me. Be wary!!!... I'll never go back.
Great place. I can only come on Sundays and I always come around 1 and they are closed. Then I have to haul my scrap around for another week. I f you advertise to stay open till 2, then stay open till 2. However, they are friendly, quick and close.
One of the better scrap yards. Guys here are fairly friendly. Their prices aren't the top end, but they're entirely reasonable given the location and overall experience. I go there every time I have scrap and will continue to give them my business.
