Made me drive all the way to the yard after calling and asking if they’d take what I had. Get here hop on the scale and they say no. Train your staff better!
Don't make the mistake of coming here to load the workers, they are a scandal, they broke the trailer into pieces. The manager is very bad and very deceitful.
I am from europe. I grew up harvesting copper wire to support my family. I have a stable job now but when i first moved to the US i would scrap and sell it here. Thank you for making me a rich westerner
Bad service, everyone who drives the lift truck is crazy and the employees whistle when someone is on the scale. There is no signage that indicates it and it seems that the scale is rigged to show that. I don't know why the county doesn't check that and they have an employee who asks for money in exchange for altering the price of the metal that one carries. Apparently, he doesn't earn enough to be asking customers for money. The owners should check that. This is wrong. I go there regularly but when I found a better place, I won't go back.
I'm no expert, but I routinely scrap medical aluminum and stainless and they have treated me more fair than 3 other locations around Brandon. Would recommend.
So right off the bat, when I call them, they answered, then hang up immediately. Within a 5 sec window. I called them 3 times with the same result. It's already not a good start. I wanted to know their policies on hvac materials. Some places i been to require a hvac business license. Most require an epa card. Some refuse to take the cores... I wanted to know their policies before I showed up, but I guess that's asking too much of them. I'll update this review in about an hour when I see what they say when I show up.
Ok, this was a miserable experience. I can't give them a good rating for a plethora of resone. It's more than I can even remember at this time. 1st, they don't accept hvac cores without an hvac business license. The epa license wasn't enough. 2nd, They didn't take my #2 copper plates (about 44 lbs of copper) because they said it wasn't pure copper? I have been to over 80 scrap yards in 6 different states this year, and this is the first they refused them. Especially for this reason. Not to mention, this place is slow and inefficient. They don't even use radios. They whistle to communicate with each other and then walk halfway across the yard to talk. They wasted a good 30 min shooting the breeze with a group of 5 employees before they came to my truck to process my load. Then their computers weren't working at the end. Had to wait another 30 min to get my ticket. In total I been here for a little more than 2 hours. And because they don't take everything, I still need to go somewhere else to get rid of the rest. This place was just chaos. The guys are friendly, but the wait I had to deal with and the confusion not only myself but others deal with was insane. I wouldn't choose to return here, unfortunately.
Absolutely LOVE the staff they are always accommodating!! Nick is the BEST!!! We have been doing business here for years we wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Low- ballers, no communication on what they will pay, they sit behind a dark tinted window, and ignore you while your just standing there.

Always on point with everything. Highest prices paid around. Good conpany,have dealt with them since the early 2000s when they were called gator core. Great business which is why it has expanded like it has. 10 stars
Read the facts. They are committing robbery at this place. They have their own interpretation of what extruded aluminum patio furniture is. They claim it's sheet aluminum. You can't make welded commercial aluminum patio furniture with sheet aluminum. Only extruded aluminum will work. I have been bringing in truckloads of extruded aluminum patio furniture all clean. First 2 loads of about 1000 pounds each I was given .60 cents per pound. I originally brought in samples of the scrap aluminum we would be bringing in and was told. 70 cents per pound for extruded aluminum patio furniture. This is how they use the bait and switch technique.
After the first 2 loads the price went to .48 cents pwr pound. They They now claim it's sheet aluminum and not extruded aluminum. They pay 20 cents less for sheet aluminum.
I called when they open woman told me 9cents a pound and 9.00 hundred i load my stuff up and go there all of a sudden the price dropped since i called them 2hours later hmmm.... And after i got my tickect and seen it was 8.00 a hundred i called before leaving place and she said again 9 again and i went back to pay place and they basically called me a liar after i had a issue with it they told the woman the 8.00 price and wouldnt give me the difference i lost on like 10 dollars from this place they cheat you on price
Very unprofessional, called in and was mislead on the phone. On arrival turned away and threatened by 4 guys who work for them. Been dealing scrap for 30 years and been to over 30 ards throughout Florida, Tennessee, and West Virginia but but will never ever sell to these unprofessional people
They refused to let me speak to management or an owner. Several other great yards in Tampa, St pete, seffner and land o lakes so please save yourself the headache they gave me and try scrapping elsewhere.
Love this place the staff is amazing all the way around. it's always a delight, the staff is both professional but still fun and down to earth making the experiance there one to make u always want to come back. We don't go anywhere else with our business!
As soon as I arrived you could tell how organized this unit was. I'm very proud of the professionals that work there. Quick and easy. Technology friendly. Keep up the good work guys and may God Bless all of your souls.
Came in with several bags of cat 6 cable and spare copper. Was paid out for only cat 5. Called to explain the issue and receptionist decided to be rude to me as I'm saying how I wasn't paid out correctly. If you are an electrician or technician trying to scrap copper, go somewhere that isn't dishonest like this place.
No other scrap yard works harder or runs more efficiently then edge metals we go there two or three times a week all the guys in the yard always greet you and help you anyway they can Thank you edge metals for always treating us like family and there prices on metals are always top notch….once again thank you edge metals …
Ethan is the front window help. He will talk you through your first visit...very helpful! You will if needed have to wait for a space to unload. I was there about 20 minutes...not bad!
Nichols and Jonathan are great on the scales , they get u in and out quickly and are great to work with. Edge pays the most current prices and do a great job.
I have taken scrap to many different places and these people are the most helpful, informative, and friendly that I have dealt with. The young men in the back will take good care of you and the women in the office are so kind. The process is very simple and easy and they pay very competitively. I scrap a lot more than your average person, and let me tell you. I will not take my scrap anywhere else.
Very helpful specifically with letting me know the difference in pricing between mixed metals I had and I want to thank that man Cisco for helping me out a lot and the forklift drivers for getting me an empty hopper quick
I Have been there a bunch of times passing 3 or 4 other scrap yards along the way .and I must say they are very helpfull and have fair pricing and im in and out quick more times then not they make sure i get more then i was expecting .keep up the good work guys

I had many smaller lead acid batteries to recycle. They unloaded them for me and got me out fast! Very nice staff and organized facility. I will be a repeat customer.
Bunch of rip off crack heads!!! I took two catalytic converters from my saabs with the titles. Both cats were stamped with the saab logo and the little Spanish guy tried to tell me they were aftermarket, probably because they were small, and he thought I could be tricked into giving them up for just $5. I already did my homework and called around and was told they were worth 40-60 each depending. Just avoid this place...no one is honest these days.
Hey, for a scrap metal/recycling yard - this was one clean and organized place! Fair prices too.. they offer the best price for scrap metal that I have found around Tampa. I rate this place overall 'excellent' for obvious reasons - really good customer service, competitive pricing and very organized. I mean, what else really matters when you're dealing in scrap anyway? That's all.. KB
